   Awesome game. The graphics are great! It is a lot like Eve but way better. It is fast pace game with something for everyone. I like it becauseAwesome game. The graphics are great!    Yes, it is EVE-like. No, it is not Mechwarrior.
   
   Good mission/quest system to guide you through first steps in the game, and continue as a profession in its own right with many avenues/mission-types.
   Industry is intricate and an interesting twist on similar mmo-crafting systems. Resource gathering takes many forms, some that require more engagement than others.
   Combat uses environmental obstacles for cover, some are destructible.
   PVE combat can be challenging, but feasible by tailoring your robot's fittings accordingly and clever use of cover.
   Extensive skill tree, with time-based skill-point generation that accumulates with no limit! (You don't have to spend skill-points hastily out of free of loosing them!)
   PVP features anti-blob mechanics, player-built bases, capturable bases, all with their own perks.
   Graphics are mediocre.
   The Devs are active and dedicated and have been for the 5 years this game has been online (including beta)! Its a small indie dev team.
   No pay-to-win items.
   
   My opinion:
   Its awesome, considering the dev's efforts, price point, and features it offers. I've been playing since it hit steam (over a year ago now), and have played no other MMO since.… Expand

   This game is a hidden gem. The mechanics and features of a sci-fi sandbox you only get from other games like Eve but without subscription!This game is a hidden gem. The mechanics and features of a sci-fi sandbox you only get from other games like Eve but without subscription! It flies under the radar, but those that do play are friendly and engaging.
   Major development is still happening this year, they released a whole line/faction of new bots!

   Perpetuum has similar mechanics to Eve-Online but is Land Mech Based,

   I am a long time player of EVE Online. I grew tired of EVE and was looking for a great sandbox game that was also sci-fi themed like EVE. II am a long time player of EVE Online. I grew tired of EVE and was looking for a great sandbox game that was also sci-fi themed like EVE. I found it in Perpetuum with it's mechs and robots.
   
   The combat is engaging and the industry/crafting is in depth.
   
   Like other MMORPG game, it is always improving and expanding. AC has a hit on their hand with this game!… Expand

   No monthly fees? Check. Player run economy? Check (albeit not great due to lack of activity). Good PvP? Same issues are Eve (new playersNo monthly fees? Check. Player run economy? Check (albeit not great due to lack of activity). Good PvP? Same issues are Eve (new players cannot really compete). The best PvP MMO you never heard of? Yes.
   
   It is a copy of Eve but in mechs and is about as complex. It less frustrating than Eve since there are real safe zones where you can learn and earn whereas in Even you can get ganked anywhere which is a little silly for people just starting. You also dont needs months to get into the biggest mechs which is great. But there are some things that bring it down.
   
   #1 - Its clearly a low budget game. Graphics are not up to par for its time and the content is limited. There are not a lot of mechs to play with and the economy is currently a mess due to some changes the devs made recently (too much money, nothing to buy).
   
   #2 - Low population. There are enough out there for PvP every day, but the economy is not very active.
   
   #3 - Just like Eve, new players are at a huge disadvantage in both money for mechs and gear to assigned traits and skills. The veterans will have huge bonuses, move twice as fast, and hit twice as hard (if note more) and like Eve, there are grievers but due to lower population, its not as bad.
   
   #4 - An extension to #3 above... Time based experience system... just like Eve. It sucks in Eve, and it sucks here as well. It slants the game significantly in favor of the older players which is not very tactically fun.
   
   Overall however, it is a good MMO and did I mention it is only $10 retail? And no monthly fees? This goes a long way in these type of games so if you can skip a movie ticket next week, pick this one up and give it a shot. Once you are get over the initial learning hump, its fun... until someone in an overpowering mech comes after you while gathering resources or transporting stuff and kill you in 10 seconds flat (including locking time) somehow... then you realize just how imbalanced the game is for newbies.… Expand
