    Payday 2 has lost my interest completely after the micro transactions fiasco.

    Overkill in general lied, stopped listening to the community and pushed out buggy updates.

    Payday The Heist was and still is amazing.

    Payday 2 was fantastic in the beta, but has got worse and worse and worse over time through shoddy business practices aimed at exploiting an incredibly rabid section of the fanbase at the expense of the game. They have reached a ridiculous lowpoint where they have crammed blatant microtransactions and pay to win (CS:GO cases and skins with    Payday The Heist was and still is amazing.

    Very fun game with loads of contents, all though after playing a long time it can be repetitive. If that happens get yourself 3 nice friends and have loads of fun running the heists co-op.

These safes needs a key (drill) to open. That wouldn't be a problem for most people, but there is also stats boosts to these skins. Now how ever you feel about that this is a PVE game the stats boosts does not in anyway destroy your game. The stats boosts does not make you a god in anyway.

    Overkill has since also backed down a bit on the microtransaction skins, and you now can also get the drill as a reward after a heist the same way you get the safe.

    Now then would i recommend this game, i have played 1000 hours hell yes i would. In a group of friends it is one really fun co-op game.    … Expand

    Unoptimised and now with more microtransactions it's not really worth to buy it. Overkill failed to deliver during Crimefest with the content delivered being unsatisfactory and not really free.

    i recommed add to extra tags for PD2 on steam site: Pay2Win And Microtransactions.

    This game was pretty good before crimefest 2 happened. Overkill decided to implement microtransactions into PAYDAY 2. Also the infamy 2.0 and the new menue are bad.

    If you would prefer to keep your money and just that much more of your self-respect, don't give Payday 2 or Overkill a single cent or another second of your precious time.

    So to recap: Overkill is a bunch of greedy, manipulative liars. Payday 2 used to be a great game. I'm uninstalling because they've ruined the game and poisoned any good will or trust that they had with the community at large. If you have any other questions about why I'm so annoyed, check out the forums in the community hub (the button's right there across from the title.) Something to the tune of a few thousand angry fans have said everything I could hundreds of times over.

    It's not a bad game as the reviews will make you think. People are just angry with the microtransactions that was add to the game after the promise of not adding it, and this is a good reason to be angry, but using metacrit to pursue they cause saying the game score is 0 is unfair. Is also good to state that some people are also angry for some more selfish reason (for example, weaponIt's not a bad game as the reviews will make you think. So if you look at the reviews after oct 14 you will notice a lot of 0 reviews.

    About the game, It's a PvE game, great to play with friends, has a lot of DLC's with new weapons and missions, a lot of free content, the community is toxic sometimes so It's better to play with friends or host your own lobby.

    P.S: Is good to state that after the complain about microtransactions, the drills that open the safes for skins now drops also in game.    … Expand

    If i wanted to play cs:go i would have bought cs:go, don't make false promises and then fill our game with microtransactions that modify gun stats. I can forgive the constant DLC, but this takes the cake, im giving it 0/10 because i feel robed and this is the only way that Overkill will learn from their mistakes

    The devs promised we wouldn't have microtransactions, now here they are. Together with bugfixes as community "rewards", some stupid masks, and some songs.

    Was a great game and I loved it till they added micro-transactions, which to make even worse give stats to guns, great way to ruin a good game no one should buy this game in its current state.

    They also tend to ignore the community and they keep saying "We listen to the community"
    As long as they get money, they listen of course.

    Think this game is about buying DLCs. You pay, that makes their day. Took me a while to understand the name.)
    There is a goty of this game, but i guess it is unfinished too, containing only around half the DLCs.
    Definately needs more DLCs, would be fun then.

    Any company which **** its community this hard deserves every negative review possible.

    The game was good, Overkill seemed like the only company that cared, then DLC after DLC- which for most games would be too much but for Payday 2 we saw as reasonable for some reason.

    Now micro-transactions have crushed the spirit of those who still remained committed to the game.

    Please keep your word, after all the challenges on the road to crimefest.
    Some of the Challenges given by OVERKILL, insane to do them all, and guess what the community did not back out. Shame, plain shame. This stays as it is untill you decide to change it back. You should    I do not recomend this game, for the broken promisses, and lies sent to us by this so called companie.

    I have no idea why copy the skins from CS:GO market place?
    payday's dlcs are much enough , why we need waste more money on the useless skins like CS:GO?

    A solid game. An AMAZING game. Ruined. Ruined by greed.
    I felt like this whole thing started with the DLCs... and now it dropped into horrible microtransactions that makes a game (which I remind you is NOT free to play) a pay to win game.
    Sorry Overkill. I loved ya'll... but you disappointed us all :(

    Don't waste a cent on this game because you're just going to have to waste more on it for all the **** DLC they release. Oh, and you also have to pay money to have a chance at getting a good skin.
    Oh, and that skin you get could be for a weapon that's from a DLC you don't own requiring you to buy said DLC to use said skin.

    PayDay 2 is one of the nicest surprises of the year. Overkill Software understands the atmosphere of gangster movies and wisely improves these pieces of gameplay, that might have been disappointing in the first game. The sequel is better in almost every way - you can play a thief and enjoy good character development and shooting systems. I really hope, that PayDay 3 will be even better.
