Overall, Inevitable Excess is a small addition to Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous that doesn’t quite measure up to the base game. The DLC is unsure of what story it wants to tell and which features it should prioritize. I’d tentatively recommend it to players looking for more Pathfinder content as long as they know what they are getting into and don’t mind getting lost in the Other Side of Threshold.

The DLC sets the wrong priorities and, despite its interesting story, annoys with overly complicated puzzles.

An abysmal drop in quality: nothing in this DLC is redeemable and the price that's asked for it way too steep. Stay away from it and replay the base campaign.

Took me about 15 hours of leisurely doing all the achievements and side quests and I enjoyed it. I don't think 15 hours is short for a DLC. Hell, I've been main campaigns that were less than 10 hours long so I think 15 hours is pretty reasonable. The new voiceovers were great and I really liked the story, even though it was essentially a very long side quest. There are some puzzles but they're really easy. For the people that complain that puzzles are in the game, I'd say that if you don't like puzzles in CRPGs, maybe you shouldn't be playing games from the RPG genre because it's pretty common and they're nowhere near the difficulty of the puzzles in the main campaign. One of the worst DLCs ever made. It's short, filled with puzzles no one asked for, and doesn't connect with the main story.

I don't know what they were thinking, but at this point, I hope Owlcat just goes out of business.
