    Great game for its time. Serves as a prequel to the Blair Witch Trilogy (Vol 1 - Rustin Parr, Vol II - The Legend of Coffin Rock, and Vol IIIGreat game for its time.     one the best rare horror game ever made graphics and light effects still scary today. game camera changes some levels looks like 3rd personone the best rare horror game ever made graphics and light effects still scary today. game camera changes some levels looks like 3rd person some levels more 2d like .one of best level in game zombie town in demo you can play that level .the sound design is more like movie quality those days this is rare in games. follow up games blair witch and bloodrayne never feels same as nocturne did they created alone in the dark new nightmare using noctune engine which is good game but due to late rleased of consoles visualls and effects not a noctune level quality. in 99 nocurne was way better than resident evil 2 and 3 techncly (besides cutscenes) visually sound desing effects animations etc if was better. story every level is kinda x files episode. camera angle sometimes go upside some times goes like movie shot even have fps ir vison too haunt ghost. weapony is decent. dismamberment of eneimes amazing. voice acting best. control like every resident evil style game sluggy but ok. when you look reviews is this game crtisizm odd enough made for changing camera angels which is one best part of game bcosue using this angles combined with sound a scary thing. for ex if the camera angle close to window and if zomibe break window suddenly bcouse of you are so close sound gonna scare you hell. founding this aspect downside of game laughable enough. bcouse of Pc exlusive game and thanks to canceled dreamcast port no one know this game and contune to treat resident evil like king. thats not true at all. of course resident evil from 96 was blast but resident evil 2 and 3 after 1 year close to nocturne cant beat this game at all most aspects. one of the game words butchered game shows how the media review works. setting in intro movies and alone music and using music on action in this game some kinda masterpiece of as 99 game. how we know this game if its below underradar those from everyone thanks to demos cds. game have 3 free demos which kinda genorosty bcouse 15 level on final and of them as mentioned town demosome best level in game and demo is full level. the town demo itself alone 220mb back in the day best demo after quake 3 arena demo which is hard to beat. concousion even today old resident evils or horor games contune to relase but nocturne not on gog or steam anything your best bet demos and big pc box rleases. game have also normal box rleased media called explosive. hard to imagine one of best engines of 99s not supported lef alone a crime. imagine quake engine comes and goes under radar by everyone.… Expand

    Une vieille daube horrifique dans la même veine que les étrons à la Resident Debil et consorts (con-sorts pardon) mais dont la prétention duUne vieille daube horrifique dans la même veine que les étrons à la Resident Debil et consorts (con-sorts pardon) mais dont la prétention du développeur peigne-cul est presque aussi consternante que l'injouabilité (la non-jouabilité) totale et irrécupérable de ce machin boulotté par une bande de trous de balle.

    C'est un jeu DX6 (avec option DX7 !) et ça marche difficilement sur XP après le patch officiel nécessaire et indispensable parce que sinon ça marche que dalle... Ensuite, en mode compatibilité 95, ça daigne se lancer malgré de gros soucis de lenteur dans les menus : il faut compter plusieurs secondes après avoir appuyé pour que le jeu se réveille ; je vous raconte pas le temps pour reconfigurer les touches dans ces conditions...

    Eventuellement aorès un certain temps, le machin daigne lancer la partie et là, on contrôle une espèce d'ombre incontrôlable dans un environnement de bureaux déserts et uniquement avec des caméras fixes (à la Resdent Debil). La souris qu'on a beau avoir activé ne sert à rien sauf dans le menu qui lague sa race et les déplacements sont indéplaçables : on a l'impression de diriger un mammouth bourré qui écrase les prix et notre (non infinie) patience avec...

    Bon enfin bref, c'est juste une vieille chiasse qui ne mérite pas plus d'attention que ça, sauf à marcher dessus avec ses godasses ou à vidanger directement dans les chiottes parce que Nocturne, ça casse les burnes !    … Expand
