If you are a fan of both the Neptunia and Senran Kagura franchises, it is worth grabbing Neptunia X Senran Kagura: Ninja Wars on Steam. This isn't the best crossover game, and I was hoping for more from the Senran Kagura side, but the PC port is great. It runs brilliantly even on Steam Deck. If you already played it on PS4 though, the new difficulty options aren't enough to warrant a double dip. If you skipped the PS4 and recent Switch versions to play it at the best fidelity possible, the PC version will deliver.

Neptunia x SENRAN KAGURA: Ninja Wars succeeds at being a fun crossover and a decent enough game to play. It’s solid enough to satisfy fans and newbies alike, has a solid gameplay foundation, and isn’t afraid to let loose when the time calls for it. There’s enough here to keep you busy, and everything involved is at least competent enough to keep your attention. So long as you aren’t expecting Game of the Year material, you’ll find yourself having fun with this one. If your aim is to coast and relish in a little bit of cheesy ninja action, this definitely fits the bill.

At best, Neptunia X Senran Kagura: Ninja Wars is strictly for fans. The combat is good, but the lack of major enemy intelligence and variety dulls any fun one can have. The game is brimming with visual novel-style cut scenes, and the characterization is great, but the emphasis on Neptunia characters can be disappointing for those who want more of the Senran Kagura girls. The constant crashing during cut scenes makes the whole affair messy, and it needs some patches to address this before we can recommend it.
