Let me start by saying I was very excited for this. I love the graphics. Unfortunately, there is not nearly enough content and the difficulty is ridiculous, but not organically so like dark souls.

Dark souls requires you to actually learn enemy attack patterns and really work around the difficult of the game. This game just throws 10-20 mobs at you and has them spawn in behind you and all around you. Cleared a room? Nope, 10 more enemies spawn in.

Now, this wouldn't really be an issue except for the fact that it is so tedious. A very small amount of enemies, all handled the same way. A small selection of weapons which seem, in my mind, to all do the same thing.

Don't buy it, at least right now. If they actually put more effort in and add (a lot) of additional content, it will be worth your time and money. Right now, it is just monotone drone.

Podría haber sido algo mucho mejor, pero ha terminado siendo algo bastante mediocre.

No es horrible, pero necesita mucho más contenido y un cambio de dirección en ciertas mecánicas de combate.

Lo siento, pero tal como está es suspenso.

Ugly, flat graphics, primitive, repetitive combat system, bland, procedurally-generated environments, artificially elevated difficulty level to be more like Dark Souls, you never learn any new moves, combos and attacks, which together with everything I've mentioned makes it one of the most dull games out there - it's just a series of bots spawning in empty rooms. Perma death sure doesn'tUgly, flat graphics, primitive, repetitive combat system, bland, procedurally-generated environments, artificially elevated difficulty level to be more like Dark Souls, you never learn any new moves, combos and attacks, which together with everything I've mentioned makes it one of the most dull games out there - it's just a series of bots spawning in empty rooms. Perma death sure doesn't help drag it out of the depths of utter sub-mediocrity. 1/10. Expand

These guys can't even include the option to rebind your keys so don't expect any care in the gameplay design. Ah, I've said all that needs to be said but have to pad this out to 150 characters.

Necropolis’ highlight is its Souls-like combat based on locking on targets, managing the stamina bar, blocking and dodging. The game’s general minimalism serves it well and permadeath encourages to try harder. [10/2016, p.56]

Necropolis tries to incorporate roguelike-elements, but it suffers from lack of content: there’s not enough variety in monsters, weapons, artifacts and other procedural generation elements to make new dungeons feel like fresh experiences. Plus, there’s a considerable problem with setting: some environments end up looking quite spooky, but that tone is smeared by humorous narration and item descriptions. [Issue#212, p.54]

A roguelike with skin-deep gameplay mechanics that tries to mimic Dark Souls and ultimately fails.
