Aside from the gameplay changes made to MVP, EA Sports has also drastically overhauled the Dynasty mode. EA has managed to snag AA and AAA farm teams for all 30 of the MLB teams.
-
No other baseball game so far as been able to fully capture the feel of pitching, fielding and batting like MVP has. The pitching and fielding interfaces are unmatched and are down right groundbreaking, yet extremely simple to pick up on and use.
-
All new pitching and hitting interface make the game approachable for beginners but with nice subtleties to keep even great players still working to fine tune their game.
-
This is a gem for the consoles, but really just a very good baseball title for the PC...There are some great things MVP Baseball 2004 has that no one else has ever had, but there are also some things that other PC games have always had that they're missing.
-
This is mostly a great game on the field, but it lacks a certain degree of authenticity.
-
The fielding is great in the infield and a nightmare in the outfield.
-
Computer Games MagazinePatches are in the works (one was available shortly after the game shipped), and fans are already modding the game to make the Dynasty mode actually work. [July 2004, p.63]
