Morgan: Metal Detective is a first-person, cozy metal-detecting adventure game. It combines exploration, creativity, and a cozy atmosphere into a heartwarming adventure.

Everyone on the island is searching for something, Morgan must search the island with her metal detector to find these lost treasures. Each of these quests asks you to engage and really think about the potential location of the lost item. On returning, each of these characters rewards Morgan with a unique cassette tape which you can listen to whilst you’re exploring.
As you explore the island using your trusty metal detector, you will find many types of items hidden underground. You can take these items to Cenna’s shop, exchange them for credits and purchase new sticker packs and film for your instant camera. You can then decorate the journal with these stickers and the photos you’ve taken.

Morgan: Metal Detective isn’t the gaming equivalent of digging up buried treasure, but equally it’s more enjoyable than digging up horseshoes.

Weirdly, it’s not hard to imagine a world where Morgan: Metal Detective didn’t devolve into an endless trip of scanning and digging – it just would’ve taken a few less random items to come across, and you would’ve had a cute, relaxing game with fun characters and pleasant visuals. As it stands, though, anyone who picks it up hoping for a cozy respite will probably come to regret it.
