    This game is beautiful.
From the little details to the complete artwork, the music, the gameplay, you can feel the love and effort on it.
But at the end of it, it feels like it could have been so much more. At first you find a lot of things to do, but soon you realize it's not really like that. At the second map you realize they all are pretty much the same, most of the other shops

But at the end of it, it feels like it could have been so much more.
At first you find a lot of things to do, but soon you realize it's not really like that.
At the second map you realize they all are pretty much the same, most of the other shops you unlock (except for two) doesn't really worth and the game itself soon feels small.

Despite all of that, the point that disappointed me the most was the lack of characters. This game promise you that you will be part of the "everyday routines of Will, shopkeeper" not just the hero... I didn't find that at all.
The only character that actually talks, has only two or three lines. The overall game is a "come and go" between the shop and the dungeons and all the other characters are just good looking pixels.
The closest you get to a backstory, are just some papers you find on the dungeon by chance, and you don't even need to read them.
The main character is so plain that he could have been a robot, and the game would have been the same. His thoughts, fears and emotions are null.
It end up being empty, and the feeling you get at the end of the game is just a consequence of that: doesn't fit at all.

It was very funny to play and beautiful to watch, but is not the game we see on the trailer.

I made my journey to the 3rd Golem dungeon level before I had experienced all the game had to offer. Whether by upgrading the shop and decorating, or upgrading and enchanting one of my weapons. The combat system is interesting but not engaging enough to hold my attention any further down the game. Progress on hard difficulty is too slow and I recomend any fresh new players play on easy only. google the item prices to sell and you remove all interesting aspects of the merchant experience. Not much else to say, this game lacks engaging story, personality, weapon classes, interesting dungeon dialog, memes, ect. Does not try to push the game itself or define gaming. does not attempt to be a work of art. Its mostly just a game out of nowhere in the wrong decade, Expand

    Extremely bland.
    Unremarkable pixel art.
Sluggish combat animations. Bosses are a letdown. Inventory space is the worst thing ever and you cant upgrade your bag. Literaly two characters, you and an old guy you immediately forget about. Shopkeeper concept interesting but done in the most generic way possible. Guessing prices is fun for all of 5 minutes then you just go look **** up

Nothing in this game is worth the hassle.
    Hard pass.

The concept of managing your merchant store is an awesome idea on paper, although I can't suggest this game. You start your journey running and selling items found in dungeons. You start your journey running and selling items found in dungeons. The procedural dungeons began repetitive, really fast, but it didn’t bother me. The graphics are pleasant, the combat is captivating, and the gameplay is impressive. However, I did have many issues with my version on the Nintendo Switch. The game has been released for some time now, no update has patched those issues, and this kind of problem is not acceptable. Infinite loading times, black screens and few glitches are still there and reported by users for a long time, and nothing was done. After multiple forced close session because it crashed, the game has become unplayable. I really tried my best to enjoy it, but after many hours I abandoned the game. If you still want to brought it, wait for a significant deal. Expand

This game is just a worse version of 'Recettear', a MUCH better game that was released back in 2010. Both are dungeon-crawling/shop management games, but 'Recettear' did it MUCH better.

I think it is a great game to play in free time or to de-stress, the only bad thing that I would see is its story that I feel that it lacks a little

On a paper sympathetic, but tedious in practice. The game is an unamusing attempt to recreate Recettear. The functional foundation would need a more exciting environment and more entertaining action. [Issue#287]

The ending turned out to be a huge disappointment but I will not let the last fifteen minutes or so overshadow my generally good impression. Over 20 hours that led to it were engaging, the pixel art is cute and the music is even better. [08/2018, p.70]

Day is your lady, night is your mistress, young shopkeeper. For what you seek in the depths of randomly generated dungeons will reward you dearly, if you decide to keep the lights of the family business on. Who knows, maybe someday you may even enter the mythical fifth door of the dungeon creepiest of them all. Hah, who am I kidding, you can never do that... If you don't buy the game, so buy it.
