To its credit, there's a good amount of fun to be found within Monster Jam Steel Titans. Although the game can feel limited or repetitive, it rarely feels unpolished or incomplete. The truck controls are spot-on and feel fantastic, which is the most important landing to stick. More than anything else, the game feels like it has a limited scope, but importantly, it does well within the goals that it clearly has for itself. It's a fun game involving monster trucks, and the freestyle mode alone carries a lot of the game's entertainment, as it should.

Monster Jam Steel Titans is a very fun car trip leading to a disappointing destination. For all the excellent mechanics and the trucks themselves, there is only so much gas in this single-player tank to cover an empty world and a limited number of races.

With strengths in vehicle handling, Monster Jam Steel Titans is a very fun title to play, but ultimately lacks longevity and replayability.

When I first played the game I was thrilled with the graphics and control options especially the dual steering control. People haveWhen I first played the game I was thrilled with the graphics and control options especially the dual steering control. People have complained about the tricks being difficult to learn but if you go into the training school/university then you are taught how to do basic tricks by the pros, then it's a case of practice makes perfect. I am no seasoned games player but I found by using Quick Play and spending time on Freestyle I soon honed my skills and learned how to put together some high scoring combos. This is also an easy way to slowly build up points to improve your truck, along with the other Quick Play scenarios (bearing in mind these have no negative effect on your Career and so it is free practice). In no time at all I found my truck was as improved as it would go without the unlockables and so I started the Career mode and came first place most of the time or at least second or third and you only need to finish overall third or better to progress. Each time you complete a Career level you unlock an area, a new truck and receive plenty of extra points. Yes the other trucks are a phenomenal amount of money which makes it virtually impossible to buy them all, but to be fair why would you want them all? You certainly wouldn't want to drive them all, all of the time. If you love monster trucks and love Monster Jam then this is the game for you. Freestyle is so satisfying, the races are fun and exciting and the only reason people are complaining about not being able to win them is because it takes real skill to race these behemoths round a track and so you really need to take the time to get used to how the truck handles. If you are purely wanting a racing game where you come first all the time then maybe give it a miss. Expand
