MOCHI-O is a compelling mashup of pet-raising and arcade defense that keeps you bouncing between cuddling a hamster and mowing down enemy squadrons. It has some rough edges, especially in its UI and controller support. But at its low price point the upgrade-driven loop and offbeat charm make it easy to become hooked.

MOCHI-O is a cute but short tower defense game. The art is great, and I was honestly impressed at how much I enjoyed the story. However, its core gameplay gets old really quickly. After a while, you stop playing the game and just sit back while your screen becomes full of visual noise. It can still be fun in short bursts, but I won't be coming back to it for quite a while.

A quite frankly crazy game which looked like a bit of a joke at first glance, but play through it and you’ll end up enjoying it and loving your hamster even more and just maybe, you might even start looking at it differently...
