    It's a truly good game for it just being blocks instead of random shapes or polygons, the gameplay is fun but you can also gain more fun by building something like a redstone door or something like that. The idea of one hidden boss and one main boss is a very good idea, the ways to get the items needed for it is just "Hey!!! Go in this funny portal for these yellow rods!!!     Simply, Minecraft just doesn't hit the standards needed anymore. It was the first of its genre, after all.
    We have Terraria's arsenal of unique items to take out each boss with. Then we have Minecraft's stat ups and single required boss. We have No Man's Sky's immersive galaxies with tons to do. Then we have Minecraft's lack of atmosphere and not as    I give Minecraft a Child's Toy Box/10

    i mean minecraft is a very good and creative game but at some point it just gets boring and somewhat repetitive, sure its fun but after a while you just get really bored of it. also the new updates from 1.16.5 are just worse

    But the game is something incredible.
    I don't think I've ever seen anything so long-lived. I've been playing Minecraft since Beta 1.3 and I've never stopped doing it. Even though updates are made once every 1/2 years the game keeps you hooked. I've had tons of worlds and played for hours on servers with my friends. A game that pushes creativity    Minecraft is now a pop culture phenomenon.
    But the game is something incredible.

    An amazing game where you can get your creativity out no matter the age.
    I've built large cities back in the days adding my own scripts mods etc. but nowadays there are so many cool mods as well as already in-game mechanics that I'd recommend this game to anyone.

    I WOULD give this game a 10, I really would. Its my most played game of all time and I've been playing it since Alpha, but oh my god. The recent updates are so poorly optimized its hilarious. My PC can run games like Elden Ring max settings flawlessly 60 fps, but the second I boot up Minecraft its only hitting about 45 fps, requiring me to install additional mods like Optifine or Sodium .I WOULD give this game a 10, I really would. Its my most played game of all time and I've been playing it since Alpha, but oh my god. The recent updates are so poorly optimized its hilarious.     This game is absolutely the best sandbox game ever. Playing this game you really understand the meaning of what playing both alone and with friends in a almost endless world.

    In this game there are no limits to what you can do as with hundreds of blocks tens of biomes you can have the time of your life

    Fun game if you have fun playing in servers, but I personally don't enjoy them too much. In terms of story mode, the game gets incredibly boring after playing for a couple of hours with friends on an SMP.

    singleplayer gets repetitive quickly if you aren't the type of person good at finding your own goals, but the multiplayer server experience is very fun and is the reason i've played for a while.

But it has a huge flaw, a massive flaw, and that is the Corporation Microsoft, they are killing this game, most of the updates are bad, mostly bricking your 4 year old worlds, they interject so much nasty corporate nonsense into the game, and it has slowly lost its soul. The original Minecraft is a great amazing game,See, i played minecraft, it is one of the best sandbox games ever made.     Minecraft is such a GREAT game, probably the best of all times, years pass and people still play it, sure sometimes y stop playing it but then revisit it later, THERE IS SO MUCH TO DO! I love the game and have been playing it for years, the best open world/sand box games, its also the only game I have bought multiple teams (like 5 times or more maybe) its just that good!

    A great game to play with friends and other people from all around the world. I myself love the game and have over 1500 hours in it. It is simple, it is fun, it is the perfect sandbox game I love to play and loved to play through the last 5 or so years.

    But it gets only 2/10 because of how ungrateful Microsoft is and for the new 1.19 "report" button, which is the worst feature ever    A great game to play with friends and other people from all around the world. I myself love the game and have over 1500 hours in it. It is simple, it is fun, it is the perfect sandbox game I love to play and loved to play through the last 5 or so years.

    But it gets only 2/10 because of how ungrateful Microsoft is and for the new 1.19 "report" button, which is the worst feature ever added and Microsoft refused to remove it. Now you may be thinking: ,,well, Silverfish zero zero three, you suck, second thing, it is to prevent online predators and bad people from reaching to small children". To that I will say good point, but not really the greatest. Back in 1.15 or so, trying to access multiplayer menu would show a screen, directly warning the players of content unsupervised by Mojang or Microsoft. When the player clicked on continue, they were aware of the risks (and parents were as well as kids). And now they care if their tiny Steve is playing on a server that he joined completely by accident, and it happens to be a server where everyone speaks freely and uses some... let's just say... "extreme" words. So Steve, scared of what they see, is going to press the panic report button, ultimately ending the fun for all players, just because of one kid joining by accident, into a community they did not belong to at all. This feature is extremely bad for servers without any behavior regulations such as 2b2t. If I wanted to play on a server where everyone speaks 18+ stuff, I should have the right to do so and not being spied on by Microsoft. This feature can also be used to ban people you don't like, so report bombing is going to be a thing such as OptiFine cape bombing used to be back in the day. Plus servers now cannot make their own rules, because Microsoft now stated shared rules across all servers this very hideous way, pointing a huge middle finger at all players. Server owners and administrators were always moderating their servers by themselves, and it HAS to be like that, because moderating a server is fun (I was a helper on one server before and I enjoyed it)! Microsoft is destroying everything!!!    … Expand

    The best creative outled ever in gaming. Building is endlessly fun and playing with friends is allways a pleasure. The soundtrack is great and the game is very relaxing and healing. You cannot get tired of this game and once you fall in love with a world it will stay forever expandable and explorable

    Having spent 7 out of 21 years of my life with this game, I won't be able to express my feelings towards this game in a review. If you're one of the few who hasn't played Minecraft yet, first of all, why?.. And second of all, go play it. It changed my life and numerous people's lives.

    It's great fun and gameplay wise one of if not the best. In terms of modifications it's the most expandable game. User friendly and quick to learn. Two things: It's skyblock was ruined by OP Skyblock and survival isn't difficult without other players.

    Minecraft used to be so fun and I feel it just sucks now I hate the new textures The new way to play the game. The caves for me while looking quote on quote "pretty" I hate. The end is the only thing I feel comfortable with in this game now. The changes to biomes switching meaning all those funny memes are now outdated.     The best sandbox ever. The base game has endless possibilities, but also, the creators have been smart enough to make the community part of the game itself. Thanks to the servers, mods and various maps, we are facing the most complete and varied game in history, suitable for all tastes.

    The game itself is average at best, and you all have to admit it, but what the community have created with it, has turned this game in one of the best games ever due to all the possibilities it allows and how human imagination can make all sort of things with it.

    The game is industry-changer since it gained fame and cause of it is really simple. The game is limitless from mods to vanilla play. For example you can build anything unlike ARK :SE and Rust.

    Only con is management of updates. Major updates are usually useless for most users with occasions,.

    One of the landmark games for sure. Ultimately its great just cause what it does is so unique and enables so many different creations.

    The actual game design is very limited and requires mods to be properly enjoyable.

    For instance the game world is massive but everything you need can be found in one mine... And villages are not particularly useful either.

    The OST is absolutely brilliant.

    Summing up Minecraft into a short review is kind of challenging. Despite the simplicity of it's goals and design, it manages to be one of the most creative, innovative, and fun games of all time. Genuinely more of an art form than a game.

    I still genuinely believe this is one of the greatest games ever made, but the frequent updates turned A simple game with amazing complexity into a loud, over crowded experience that only hinders player experience. The updates might make the game worse as it goes on as it only seeks to add more, not to improve

    Minecraft is unlike anything else that has been released, regardless of whether you like it or not. The best way I've ever heard someone describe it was "playing Minecraft is more like an experience than a game".

    Imma be real,mojang adds wayyy too much stuff in the game that i can't keep up with what once a simple game, the performance on java is so horrible and i wish they. If mojang were to fix the performance I would give it a higher score

    I thought overall Minecraft was a good game It is a good sandbox survival game it gets to almost everything you would want in a survival game. It has good crafting and easy controls for crafting. It fits everything you want in a game for kits. I would have rated this 10/10 but Minecraft does lack sometimes but mods that are community made make them better

    Playerbase has aged a bit poorly, though the game is still great.

    Optimization is a little disappointing[-1].

    On top of that... Joe Schmoe or whoever came up with an idea of starting seemingly unnecessary censorship[-1]. I mean, it didn't come out of the blue; but still.

    I bought the alpha version of Minecraft when it was first released. It went the old school way: A badly designed HTML 5 page from Mojang on which you could buy a game called Minecraft for seven euros. After that, you could download the game in a zipped .jar format and extract it to your pc. Start the Minecraft launcher and you are good to go.

    When I first played Minecraft, I did not know what to expect but the whole survival and free build concept immediately intrigued me. It felt so new and fresh but the ancient graphics (who were much, much worse back then) took some time to get used to. I started building a nice, safe home right away and looked for coal to make some lights.

    Minecraft has laid the foundation for all the crafting survival games out there and, in a way, I am proud that I played “the original” one first.

    The whole concept of the game has not changed much over the years. Just build stuff and, in the present times, defeat a dragon and conquer a fortress, located in the seventh layer of hell.

    The game has been updated over the years and it remains fascinating to see how such a simple, small game, became one of the biggest open world games of all time. Every update included a ton of added resources, items, mechanics and mobs and still does these days. You now can make potions, grow any crop you can think of, enchant stuff, make magic books, the list goes on.

    Today, whole servers with custom build playrooms, mighty castles, incredible build projects and unimaginable feats have been accomplished and it is just great to see how creative people can be with this game.

    I spent hours surviving, building nice castles and exploring the caves and the nether. It was all good fun. With mods you can make the game into everything you could ever imagen, my personal favourite being Pixelmonn.

    The only problem I have nowadays with Mincecraft is that it has no purpose anymore for me. Back then it was new, the exploring and surviving was a goal on its own. Today, I am sometimes motivated to build a huge castle or project, spent hours and hours of my free time on it and then, when it is finished, I take a death stare into limbo and ask myself: “What was the purpose of this”? Technically you can beat the game nowadays by slaying the Ender Dragon, something I already did. The credits roll and you have beaten Minecraft, but still, the game goes on after that and there is no ultimate end goal. I experience this issue with other sandbox survival build games too, but with Minecraft, it is the worst.

    It could be my age (30 next month), after all, Minecraft is now considered a kid’s game, fun for the whole family. Whatever the case, these days I can only respect it like I did back then and pas the torch (stick + coal) over to the next generation.    … Expand

    Masterpiece. I have been playing this game for over 8 years by now and it never gets old to hop on a server with your friends and have some fun. Whether it's exploring, fighting or mining, every single aspect of the game has been polished and with active development this game gets better with every update! Mojang doesn't miss!

    It is simply unbeatable, I am amazed the meta score is so low. While the graphics are sub par the world is colorful and fun, the gameplay is simple yet enjoyable, and with a unlimited world I couldn’t recommend this more, the only negative thing I can say is that after hour 5000 on my world I started to get a little bored and couldn’t think of new ideas.

    The 1.0 version of the indie phenomena is still obviously unfinished and flawed in many ways, but it's so easy to forget that when you're building your dream castle, exploring scary caves and vast mountain ranges and having a great time in its blocky world.
