A bad thing in the game is that there are many hacks on a multiplayer server, many use hack, which leaves very boring game.     I really like this game because it's totally free ! You want a giant represantation of you ? BUILD IT ! But, if you want to do do something faithful to the model, you need thousands of blocks ! That's why I give to do game only eight, the game is cool, but you need thousands of blocks to do a single construction.

    Apart from that, this game is brilliant. Mojang make the bad graphics look good. With it's blocky art-style reinforcing it's suggested target audience of 15-29 year olds. But no. Minecraft truly transcends "target audiences" and delivers the quintessential sandbox experience for players of all ages. From little kids squealing in fear as a creeper    HATE. THE. FRICKEN.     Minecraft is also a great game for all types of gamers. Minecraft may have introduced the aforementioned elder to the wide world of gaming and converted them into a casual gamer.
    It also provides fun addition to the shelves of core gamers (like myself)
    But it is also the perfect game in a tournament for hardcore players.
    Minecraft is not a game as much as a cultural revolution, with many Youtubers making a living from playing what's widely believed to be a kids game...

    Minecraft is my FAVORITE game, and I have spent the most hours on it out of my entire collection of games. However, it is not without its flaws. The game is borderline unplayable due to how ugly it is without graphical enhancement mods. Also, the updates since 1.6.4 have been mostly unnecessary. I would give this game 86 out of 100, even though it is my favorite game to play.     A game ripped straight out of my childhood, this game does still hold up. The game's creative mode is the one I play mostly when I boot up the game. It's calming to building something, with the soothing soundtrack that supports it. Survival is also fun to play, but I only do so with friends, as the experience skyrockets during multiplayer.     It's pretty good. Play the PC version, it's pretty good. Have a try, if you have any other device (or monitor) have open a wiki and enjoy. Play for a weekend and see if you enjoy, cheers!

    Minecraft, quite simple can be described as a game where a person moves blocks around to build things and goes on adventures. I was awestruck when I had a student explain the game to me and didn’t really understand the fascination with it. Through some research and discussions with my peer’s I am learning that there is more to the game than I had originally thought.     I personally don't like this game all too much, but I can see that it's a good game. Hating on a game because you personally dislike it for some reason is a bit much. The combat may be a bit clunky, but otherwise Minecraft is a very solid game.

    Minecraft was my childhood, along with roblox and club penguin. The game is similar to the others in a way that you can always go there to have a laugh, except when you find those annoying 10 year olds.

    Minecraft is a solid sandbox game with endless possibilities, especially when paired with mods. There are great mods, and even greater custom maps. Although there is a lot of bad content mixed in with it. It's simple, Intuitive, Has great concepts like Redstone, and Splash/Lingering Potions, this game is great. I suggest you get JAVA EDITION instead of Windows 10 and no updating to WindowsMinecraft is a solid sandbox game with endless possibilities, especially when paired with mods.     Great game, amazing concept, perfect execution, large community (of mostly 12 year olds). Definitely worth the money. The community is pretty trash but there are a few parts of it that are great. Minecraft is a game I've had since I was young and it will always be a game I look back on with fond memories.

    This game is possibly one of the best sandbox games out there. The creative aspect of it is amazing - with some imagination and work you can do almost anything regarding builds and even machinery using redstone.     Minecraft used to be a perfect game, a 10/10 for me. This was before Microsoft stepped in and completely f****d everything up. Instead of the updates adding necessary features to the game, now, they feel completely unnecessary. The prime example for this would be the unnecessary texture changes that for a huge majority, look worse than the original textures. And, despite having simplistic graphics, the game is incredibly immersive and has a very believable world even with the gravity defying physics and the fact that you can build a portal to "Hell." Minecraft is one of the first PC games I ever played and still remains as my favorite open world survival game, it's just the recent changes and the community that bogs it down from being 10/10 for me.… Expand

There are also chances to play with friends either on the same console or online, plus there are things called servers that were made by people so that you can play minigames or other activities that they have designed. The graphics are a good call back to the 8-Bit graphics of the NES, and the gameplay is smooth and the controls are even better with them being simple to use and understand. Overall if your looking for a fun sometimes family friendly game then this perfect for you. There is no wonder why its one of the best selling games of all time… Expand

If you have creativity and good friends to play with, this game is just incredibly fun. More than once I have realized it's 5:00 AM and I'm still building something.

    As a plain survival game, I'd give this a 7/10 due to the lack of end-game content. If you have creativity and good friends to play with, this game is just incredibly fun. More than once I have realized it's 5:00 AM and I'm still building something.

    As a plain survival game, I'd give this a 7/10 due to the lack of end-game content. Very fun and also a bit spooky at first as you don't know what to expect, but once you get geared up and infinite source of food, there's not that much to do.

    So, I'll give 8/10. Add one if you want to build stuff and subtract one if you just want to roam around looting stuff.

    - You have seen it all quite fast

    I had quite a good initial run and experience with this game, playing through the traditional "story" of beating the dragon and messing around with building for a while, although doing this solo got stale for me after a while, but overall a good game that gave me plenty of hours of enjoyment.

    2 palabra, es minecraft, sencillamente es el mejor juego sandbox que existe, no hay nada como la libertad de hacer con el juego lo que se te de la gana y este juego a pesar de su simplesa, entiende esto, es un juego que probablemente al inicio paresca muy intimidante, pero una vez que entiendes el ritmo que tiene y comprendes sus mecanicas te vas a quedar pegado a este juego durante horas,2 palabra, es minecraft, sencillamente es el mejor juego sandbox que existe, no hay nada como la libertad de hacer con el juego lo que se te de la gana y este juego a pesar de su simplesa, entiende esto, es un juego que probablemente al inicio paresca muy intimidante, pero una vez que entiendes el ritmo que tiene y comprendes sus mecanicas te vas a quedar pegado a este juego durante horas, si este clase de juegos te llama definitivamente te va a gustar, recomiendo a todo el mundo que minimo lo pruebe, probablemente conoces a alguien que lo tenga y te pueda enseñar a jugar, ya si no te gusta desde el inicio probablemente no te guste despues, pero si vas a seguir viviendo en el 2011 y vas a seguir evadiendolo solo por ser popular y llamar rata a todo el mundo que le guste por favor sacate la verga de la boca… Expand

You have unlimited resources and will not be harmed in creative, and in survival, you have to find or mine the resources you want to use while battling or avoiding monsters.     The only two turnoffs is that the game can be a bit vague to newcomers (you may have to look at a wiki or a guide) and if you don't set goals for yourself, which the game doesn't do, you'll probably find little reason to play Minecraft.

    I definitely recommend trying out Minecraft if you haven't already, and if those turnoffs won't be a bother to you.    … Expand

    NOTE TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS "Final release doesn't have everything" There IS NO final release.

    Un excelente juego, con un potencial tremendo. El jugador realmente se siente libre en tan vasto mundo, el juego no tiene límites, y la jugabilidad puede ser muy dinamica y entretenida. el juego se disfruta mucho más si tienes creatividad y amigos con quienes jugar, yo no tengo nada de eso.

    this game is amazing, with no matter if you're not playing it often, you'll get a definite feel for charm, this game has a bunch that you could do, like using mods for the game, or using shaders for the game. it's absolutely enjoyable no matter if you're not playing it often, the graphics are some sort of old-feeling when playing it.

    People always ask me is Minecraft worth your time? And i say yes. Minecraft is all about creation and innovation, there is no story, you have to make your own story with you imagination. While there is always a room for updates in minecraft and it might sound a bit odd at some points, it is a must-play.

    The game is truly a wonder of game-design. It features simple, intuitive, and interesting mechanics easily learned on the fly, yet it features an emergent depth of gameplay. The graphics are lo-res, yet charming, and reminiscent of old style 8-bit games, with a 3d touch.

Couple that in with options like mining for special ores to make your tools stronger and other worlds to explore like the nether and The End makes this a truly special game which will go on for years and years to come! The reason I am rating it 8/10 is because I feel that the 1.9 Combat Update really took a lot away from the game. It completely revamped the combat system to a point where it is almost unrecognizable from the previous versions, and for this reason, it is almost necessary to play in 1.8.9Minecraft has very simple and intuitive mechanics and has a lot of charm to old and new gamers alike.     I mean, it's Minecraft, one of the most popular games of all time. The building and mining aspect of this game is enough to describe it, but it has a lot of features beyond that. But those could only work out for you if you're a genius and a creative person, which I'm not, which is why I'm giving this game an 8.

    Survival mode is fun and simplistic however for me it gets old fast. Servers I think are what really set PC Minecraft apart from console, you can do pretty much anything in servers and PC also gives you the option of mods.

    Minecraft. Nothing to say. Beautiful, relaxing. It'a perfect game. Until 1.17 and 1.18, the worst patches ever, they ruined the caverns experience. But for the rest is a good game

    singleplayer gets repetitive quickly if you aren't the type of person good at finding your own goals, but the multiplayer server experience is very fun and is the reason i've played for a while.

    Playerbase has aged a bit poorly, though the game is still great.

    Optimization is a little disappointing[-1].

    On top of that... Joe Schmoe or whoever came up with an idea of starting seemingly unnecessary censorship[-1]. I mean, it didn't come out of the blue; but still.

    I bought the alpha version of Minecraft when it was first released. It went the old school way: A badly designed HTML 5 page from Mojang on which you could buy a game called Minecraft for seven euros. After that, you could download the game in a zipped .jar format and extract it to your pc. Start the Minecraft launcher and you are good to go.

    When I first played Minecraft, I did not know what to expect but the whole survival and free build concept immediately intrigued me. It felt so new and fresh but the ancient graphics (who were much, much worse back then) took some time to get used to. I started building a nice, safe home right away and looked for coal to make some lights.

    Minecraft has laid the foundation for all the crafting survival games out there and, in a way, I am proud that I played “the original” one first.

    The whole concept of the game has not changed much over the years. Just build stuff and, in the present times, defeat a dragon and conquer a fortress, located in the seventh layer of hell.

    The game has been updated over the years and it remains fascinating to see how such a simple, small game, became one of the biggest open world games of all time. Every update included a ton of added resources, items, mechanics and mobs and still does these days. You now can make potions, grow any crop you can think of, enchant stuff, make magic books, the list goes on.

    Today, whole servers with custom build playrooms, mighty castles, incredible build projects and unimaginable feats have been accomplished and it is just great to see how creative people can be with this game.

    I spent hours surviving, building nice castles and exploring the caves and the nether. It was all good fun. With mods you can make the game into everything you could ever imagen, my personal favourite being Pixelmonn.

    The only problem I have nowadays with Mincecraft is that it has no purpose anymore for me. Back then it was new, the exploring and surviving was a goal on its own. Today, I am sometimes motivated to build a huge castle or project, spent hours and hours of my free time on it and then, when it is finished, I take a death stare into limbo and ask myself: “What was the purpose of this”? Technically you can beat the game nowadays by slaying the Ender Dragon, something I already did. The credits roll and you have beaten Minecraft, but still, the game goes on after that and there is no ultimate end goal. I experience this issue with other sandbox survival build games too, but with Minecraft, it is the worst.

    It could be my age (30 next month), after all, Minecraft is now considered a kid’s game, fun for the whole family. Whatever the case, these days I can only respect it like I did back then and pas the torch (stick + coal) over to the next generation.    … Expand

    I usually play this game while listening to pod-casts. It is very calm and has a large open world. It's fun to play with friends. There are many mods and maps. Definitely play it if you need some relaxation.

Not just creative mode, but survival also allows so much opportunity and takes a lot more grounded approach. If you have online capabilities then that opens up a whole lot more fun.     This game is amazing, although it is overrated. It is extremely fun and is better with friends. It is jam-packed with content but updates take a large bit to come out. Java favouritism gets quite annoying if you're a bedrock player like me but it is tolerable. Overall I would rate this game 8.4.

    However, it's impossible for me to rate this a perfect 10/10 game. Minecraft is not only one of the best video games I've played, but unfortunately, it's one of the most flawed I've honestly ever seen. Not only does this game flop from a technical standpoint, having like a million bugs in every corner, but it also fails from a gameplay standpoint. There are SO MANY cool ideas on paper, like The Allay, The Archeology system, and THE MOTHER TRUCKING WARDEN, but they all completely fail in execution. The Warden and the Deep Dark Caves, for example, is so cool in the idea. But there is literally no reason to seek any of these out to progress in the game. Like, if you want to beat the end goal of the game, there is no reason to go to one of these caves, which is sad, because they're cool as hell. There are a lot more problems of this game I'd like to get into and talk about how they can be fixed, but honestly, that'd take 10 whole reviews. I love Mojang Studios, but sometimes just wish that they focused less on pleasing fans and focused instead on making a well-rounded game.

    The only reason why I'm giving this a positive score is because of all the good, well-executed stuff in here. It far outmatches the under-baked newer features. Thank you for this game, Notch.    … Expand

    Now Minecraft is absolutely a good game when you play it with your friends however, when it comes to cheats with your friends it makes it even more entertaining. I played the Xbox 360 edition of Minecraft which still brings me good ol' Nostalgia. To be honest, I do still think the Xbox 360 edition is better    Minecraft. ah yes that one game on which you can build blocks, destroy them etc.

    It is wrong not giving this game a good rating cause its so good. There are many things you can do and the possibilities are endless but it just gets boring, like over time. PVP is boring, Singleplayer also gets boring just cause it is so repetitive. As a sandbox game it is fantastic and it's fun to fool around with friends. The build battles are fun too, love making gigantic penises

So, what is all the fuss about? Well, it's beyond me. Whilst I have spent quite a few hours in the game, I tend only to bother with it whislt I'm watching football on SkyGO in a window, or now, more recently, whilst i'm sitting in a 40 minute queue waiting to get in to play SWTOR. I have, when I first got it ploughed numerous hours into a world, but I cannot for the life of me find any kind of motivation to keep on playing as I'm almost certain I've seen pretty much everything it has to offer....... I bought a cheap rental server to see if some of my friends wanted to join, but it really isn't holding anyone's interest. Mojang's website have mentioned something about new game modes coming soon, but from what I can read into things, Minecraft, now released is now as good as being declared a finished project for the developer............. A way to pass an hour or two if needed, just like Tetris was in the 90's and the Rubik's Cube was in the 80's. A fad, slightly innivative, but ultimately flawed with no insiprational outlook. 7/10… Expand

It's good, but it's just not for me and whether or not you're going to like a game like this depends solely on how much of a 'builder' you have in you. Some people just have a proclivity for making things, playing with legos, building stuff in a shed, tinkering with their car, etc, and if you're one of those people then this game is like catnip for you. But if you're a person that likes to sample things but not get too involved, or play competitive style games, or be 'the best' at something, then take a pass.

    Minecraft is, essentially, a simplified map editor that you get in other games like Starcraft or Civilization. If you played a game like Starcraft or Warcraft and used to pore over the editor making the perfect map, then this game is probably for you, but if you spent all your time online on ladder then it's probably not. It's a good game for what it is, but it's definitely a niche game and not for everybody.    … Expand

    The game itself is good, but the game developer is definitely not.

    Notch definitely don't deserved to have that much money for the efforts he gave this game.

    Most of the new features are already done by modders, so Notch basically don't have to do anything but copy the mods and put them into the game.

    The game could be MUCH better if someone else develops the game.

    The 1.0 version of the indie phenomena is still obviously unfinished and flawed in many ways, but it's so easy to forget that when you're building your dream castle, exploring scary caves and vast mountain ranges and having a great time in its blocky world.
