Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection on PC and Steam Deck is one of Capcom's best collections despite the few issues in its current state. Even for newcomers, this is an easy recommendation.

Volume 2 of the Battle Network Legacy Collection is the definitive experience for new and returning players. BN6’s excellent combat design and PvP finally have the online component to make them shine, and BN5 is a worthy entry in its own right.

The Mega Man Battle Network series was a huge part of my childhood, but now I get to appreciate these card-collection tactical RPGs from a whole new perspective. While some of these entries are mostly fun nostalgia trips, most of them hold up just as well today, and the restored content from the Patch Cards alongside the robust online functionality make this collection the definitive way to experience the series.

As a compilation, Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection is fairly well done. The gameplay concept works not only as an alternative for a standard Mega Man title but also as an action/strategy title. Combined with the deck-building elements, it makes the game resonate with a modern audience, and the extras are sure to please any fan. Players will wish that the series weren't so repetitive over the years, as that doesn't play out as well for a title like this compared to a straight action-platformer.

review bombing at its finest. These games were some of the most fun megaman games anyone can play. If you have somebody to play against thenreview bombing at its finest. These games were some of the most fun megaman games anyone can play. If you have somebody to play against then its even better. It was a great spin off series to where it can have a competitive scene and it was also strategic while having to maneuver in a 9 panel zone! Talk about the adrenaline rush during boss fights and not to mention the post game content it provides makes for great replay material Expand

Capcom hasThe Battle Network collection is for switch is a fantastic rerelease of the Blue Bomber's spin off series from the early 2000s. Capcom has built up and included so many features and extra content that was only ever available to the fanbase through cheating these passed two decades. And with online added to the games, this collection is a true love letter to all of the diehard fans such as myself.

So far, I've been enjoying replaying these games from my childhood, but I'm not under the delusion that they are perfect games. BN & BN4 are a slog to play through for varying reasons, but BN3 has an incredible story and polished mechanics, and BN6 has the most refined and balanced combat of all of them.

It is disappointing that Capcom did not correct the poor translation errors in the English ports of the games, as some of them (especially BN4) are egregious. There's maintaining the original art, and then there's just being complacent with clear, obvious errors. Thankfully, they have addressed the few game bugs and crash issues the cartridges had back in the day.

To fans of the originals, this game is a fantastic product that could have been better for a few minor reasons. To newcomers of the series, pick up Vol.1 or Vol.2, since the digital copies are split and half cost. Try out either 3 or 6, and see how you like the series.
