McPixel 3 is about kicking people in the testicles for the hell of it. It's grabbing a cup and pulling your pants down in a worldwide broadcast.

McPixel 3 is as crazy as it is funny. It demands a grasp of Monty Pythonesque humor, but if this requirement is met, every second with the game is a delight.

In practical terms, this sequel is an outright better game than the original. Better-paced, funnier, and drastically improved in terms of design, with smoother animations and an open-world hub. McPixel 3 is the epitome of “smart-stupid,” a game which revels in its base humor with the express intention of making its players laugh at every step, whether that be through confusion, revulsion, meta antics, or just irreverent resolutions. It's a one-of-a-kind experience, and an easy recommendation for anyone open to some cheap laughs in a world where the points don’t matter.

McPixel 3 is an intensely fast and fun time. It’s that point and click adventure game that us 80s/90s kids would have talked about on the playground alongside Mortal Kombat, swapping stories about potential fatalities and gags to discover and giggling at the crude humor. I’m struggling to think of who this game wouldn’t appeal to — a labor of love that just about anyone will find interesting (or at least funny). If you’re ready to save the day — or die, die again trying — the titular hero in McPixel 3 could certainly use the help (before he explodes… again).

McPixel 3 is mercifully short, clocking in at around three to five hours depending on how familiar one is with point-and-click adventures, but those few hours do drag. Some fun can be had finding the game's more clever solutions but overuse of low-effort jokes and nonexistent sound effects outside repetitive music make it difficult to recommend to most.
