    About 10 seconds in, I was hooked. I could tell they'd thought of everything: ease of movement, the ability to look up anything instantly,About 10 seconds in, I was hooked. I could tell they'd thought of everything: ease of movement, the ability to look up anything instantly, appealing retro graphics, appealing retro music, etc.

    A couple hours in, I was even more hooked. There's engaging and challenging tactical combat, simplified 3.5 D&D (ie, you don't have to learn 30 different attack and defense modes like in Temple of Elemental Evil), and intelligent AI.

    It's a little tough at first, and I think they should allow you to rest earlier, but overall this game is awesome.    … Expand

Just as that game, KotC is focused almost entireely on combat, leaving little in terms of writing or choices and consequences. Even despite of that, you will have to pay atention to what NPCs say, your dialogue choices often deciding about life and death of your heroes. Many may find graphics poor, but I don't have problems with it - I consider it kinda charming. Midi soundtrack is good, though it consists only of few tracks.
    Tactical, turn based combat is where game shines - you will find multiple types of enemies in many various situations that will test your skills.    … Expand
