When compared to Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2, Killing floor looks puny and not worth buying. Killing Floor offers many things that make the game fun and full of replayability. The game comes with 10 or so different characters that are stuck in certain maps, made by Tripwire or the community. The story line is barely present, but neither was Left 4 Dead

This game had great potential. What it excels in, is franatic gameplay with 5 others (or less) and can be enjoyed for a couple hours. There are unique zombies to kill each with abilities. You can relate this to Unreal Tournaments invasion, just alot slower and realistic. However, this game lacks a large amount of content. A few guns, a few levels a few characters, a few enemies. Theres too many FEW things. The AI was poor in this game, you'll see zombies stock at some positions, waiting for them to approach, and the games replay value was at a medium-low standard. The concept was boring, kill the zombies each round, make it to the seller, and repeat. There are some perks for each level which make the leveling system pretty fun, but so far only 2 levels have been seen to be used widely among all players, with out anyone else using the others. Unfortunaltly killing floor did not meet expectations, the gameplay was a little dull although very fun while playing multiplayer (if your looking for a single player experience, dont bother). What you get is a mix of bad animations, Extremly low amount of content and replay value. This game wouldve been more suited for a 10$ game mark, but not 20 being that it looks more like a mod for a game rather then a game itself (understanding that it WAS a mod for UT, but this time it isnt) I do applaud tripwire for providing this game after many years, but you receive a small bang for your buck Expand

I don't like repatative game plays but it's cheaper and similar to l4d. Thank god the price is so cheap. I actually had more fun on this than l4d. More people online and more cahos.

The graphics look great, whacking the head off a zombie with a fire axe during slow motion couldn't possibly be more awesome! Although yes, the flashlight is quite displeasing. But gameplay is very much more important than graphics - as long as the graphics meet a minimum standard, people need to just stop caring so much. Though they won't... and never will. At least Blizzard has that figured out. Expand

Awesome game. Prefer it to Left4Dead. Fun and intense co-op gameplay. Lacks much content but for $20 (or less if on sale) it's just right.

This game is pretty repetitive. Once you've played it for about five minutes you've seen all that there is to see. It's just the same thing over and over. The game is fun, that graphic are good, unless you compare it to crysis, and other high end graphic physic games. It great to play with friends and other people because it so addictive and almost happins twice in the game but sometimes does.

As some have stated, this is a love it or hate it game. The idea of comparing killing floor with L4D is absurd, the only similarity in game play is that there is a truck-load of zombies to kill. Myself? I'd recommend killing floor to everyone and anyone.

I've play a lot of zombie survival games, and many will compare this game to left 4 dead. However, they are just different, if not complimentary, as when you get bored of one you switch to the other and back. Now, sure the graphics are cutting edge but they are NOT bad or choppy. Anyone giving this lower than a 5 really has no idea or is being paid to do so. Graphics hold their own I've play a lot of zombie survival games, and many will compare this game to left 4 dead. Specially with the new updates with more guns and an added class. Tripwire is really supporting this beyond what I could have asked for. Expand

The only Co-op Survival Genre that I have seen that is worth playing. It's fantastic fast pace run and gun, includes leveling up system which is neat, and 4 difficult that will keep you playing for days. To top off all that, there is a map editor for custom maps.

Killing Floor is under rated, Mostly because it is related to games like, Left3Dead( or people like to think it is) Killing Floor could use some more advance features, and tune ups to thier A.I. maybe even a single player story line. But, over all, it is an amazing game.

  1. Killing Floor is a zombie game that lacks brain and own ideas. In the main part it's simply a Left 4 Dead clone with boring maps and graphics. But Killing Floor's emphasis on tactical gameplay, the solid coop mode and the cheap prize make the game worth a look.
  2. Tripwire Interactives Killing Floor is what you would expect of a polished mod, but doesn't exceed expectations as a retail game. It's good, but unfortunately far from perfect. A nice addition to the survival-horror genre though, and it has an attractively cheap price tag.

While the single-player experience is pretty much non-existent and there are still a large number of bugs that have to be contended with, there's enough of a foundation here for players to enjoy. Hop online and kill monsters for Queen and Country.
