Killing floor is a wave based, co-op, zombie survival game. Its addictive perk leveling system and regular updates from Tripwire, will keep me playing for days and days. This game really shouldn't be compared to L4D. Both are great games but they have completely different play styles.

Well worth the money for the replay value you will receive, especially if you like the idea of leveling up your characters. The game play is so simple, but nevertheless you will enjoy it! Expand

It's a very (VERY) good game, I'd probably say the best FPS I've played. I bought KF before LFD and wow when I played LFD I thought to myself "Why did I pay money for this?" I mean seriously KF just blows it out of the water.

Killing Floor tests your accuracy and reactions to the max. Absolutely brilliant game play. The only reason I am not giving this game a 10 is because the avatars look slightly dated; however the environments are superb and can be quite scary at times. The other reasons I am not giving this a 10 is because you cannot see what wave the server is at before joining and if you join round 7 - 10 and no one gives you any money; you are stuck with a pistol, knife and no body armour and normally die pretty quick. I wish tripwire would add an update so the servers display "Wave X" making it easier to choose a server rather than hanging around in a match because you died early. I will be playing this game for a very long time. There is plenty of life in this game especially with the levelling up of classes. I can never picture myself becoming bored of this game. If you like the Left 4 Dead games you will love Killing Floor. Highly recommended. Expand

An incredibly fun game, almost at the standards of even Left 4 Dead. Perks make the game less repetitive, and there are many well made maps, with more coming from the players. It's priced at only $20 and it is often on sale. I picked mine up for $5 and couldn't be happier. I would absolutely recommend this game to a fan of Left 4 Dead, or any FPS in general.

A simplistic and amazing game. All this game really has is it's game play, and it holds the entirety of the experience up. Popping zombie heads has never been more satisfying. Again, not as add-ons, but for free. Only real complaints are shoddy menus, shoddy third-person models, and repetitive game play.

Killing Floor is a great game, and I am sure of it. But As many others say, it is missing key elements. Begginer is well, way too easy and boring. Normal is well, hard, the fact that in a matter of waves it is way to easy from being overran to die. The single play is the worst thing ever. It is scary, but WAY too hard on anything other than begginer. Now the zombies are probbly the best thing of the game, they have great design and each has a special power including the average zombie. Finally the lag, OH GOD THE LAG. I get about what, 120 ping and the AI just jacks up to a point where a zombie 30 ft. away from you teleports straight to ya and takes about 20 life away. This may seem like it makes it bad BUT THIS IS A GOOD GAME! I'm sure if they make a Killing Floor 2 They could fix this into a one-hell-of-a-killing-game. And people that say its a waste of money, it isn't. It really passes that time when your stuck there thinkin about what to do today. I think you should buy this game if you don't mind the low-ish graphics (It really doesn't bother me.) Expand

This game is one of the best to play with friends. Much better than L4D or L4D2. The graphics are neat, the gameplay is amazing (killing zombies for LOADSA MONEYYYYYY, who wouldn't love it?), this game was one of my favorites last year.
I think the reason more people don't know about it is because it's not out for consoles. But then again, most good things aren't.

It turns the old survival concept into an incredible cooperative experience. The reason people are not enjoying this is because they haven't taken the time to level up and play higher difficulties. When you have a team of people who are masters of their perk; it becomes non-stop intensity. Character design, classes, leveling system, enemy design and map design are fantastic. It may seem repetitive to some, but with the unlimited amount of strategies that can be thought out; the fun never ends! Professional Critics are stating it to be a Left 4 Dead rip-off; they are wrong. It's not a matter of opinion here, because the original Killing Floor mod came out before Left 4 Dead. I was hesitant at first to pick up the game because of he reviews. Then I was forced (gifted) it by a friend, and so I tried it out and thought it was decent. But I haven't had this much fun since CS:S and Halo 2. I'm looking forward to upgrades, some of the negative reviews here do have a point. It could use a few more gametypes. Expand

Killing Floor is an action packed FPS co-op zombie shooter, where you and your buddies go through waves of zombies with chainsaws, crossbows, grenades and a lot more. The game is pretty straightforward (which some may not like about it) and can be very addicting. The graphics, on the other hand, may not be "up to par" with today's FPS's, but nevertheless, the game runs smoothly and looks great.

This is a major turn-off for most people. If you like a challenge & plenty of teamwork, this game is for you. It also test the skills of the player as there is no cross hair and you have to look down the sights. A plus side to this game is that there is a "perks" system will player can level up, making their character more powerful, depending on the "perks" & the weapons they choose. It may seems boring & difficult to play at first but it sure gets a lot easier later. Players can also choose their difficulty which is a plus for new players. 2. Tripwire Interactives Killing Floor is what you would expect of a polished mod, but doesn't exceed expectations as a retail game. It's good, but unfortunately far from perfect. A nice addition to the survival-horror genre though, and it has an attractively cheap price tag.
