Glitches and other associated oddities exist (can't pick up ammo from weapons on the ground for example), but infrequent enough that the game is certainly fun. The creators are paying VERY good attention to it, fixing these glitches left and right, so don't let that stop you. This is an amazing game, especially if you like the combination of FPS coop and survival horror. The perk system and rewards are great. Overall, it is not as polished as Left 4 Dead, but the graphics and game play are both excellent. This game gets my heart pumping faster than any other game I've ever played. Definitely an amazing value at $20!

74? No its more like 50, way too repetitive, all you do is kill a bunch of zombies, no goals/objectives.The graphics look nice, it doesn't take a good comp to run it, but it gets boring after about 8 hours, i would not even buy it for the cheap price.

First off, I give it an 8.5 out of 10 because it has the same premise of Left For Dead, but at a gloriously cheaper price *having pre-ordered it for 15$*. It might not be as polished over, but it gives you the same general gameplay wrapped in an atmosphere akin to the 28 Days Later series. For being only 20 dollars you get the same thing as L4D *which retails for a rather bloated 40$* BUT with a source engine promising plenty of mods and maps to be made. Honestly, the only real things I can criticize about it is the lack of unique features in the maps *although again with a clearly attendant game team constantly tweaking the bugs and SDK modders, this won't be a problem for long* and variation in music. Otherwise you get everything you bargained for- a simple but addicting online game with some potential to go far further. It certainly isn't going to redefine the video game industry, but you get a surprisingly good deal of fun out of a tiny can at an affordable price. I believe this game is a cross between Doom 3 and Left 4 Dead. It has aspects of both, is fun, and is remarkably entertaining. I believe it poses a good challenge, and is very fun online.

A solid cooperative zombie shooter, with a surprising level of difficulty, solid weapon handling, varied enemy types, and a system for gaining/leveling perks that encourages regular playing. Quite fun to play with friends as you fight against being overwhelmed by the hordes. Not the most amazing or groundbreaking game, but enjoyable, mindless fun.

One fun game. Lots of action and tons of good old zombie killing pleasure. Tough for sure, but that's the way I like it!

Great gameplay, awesome graphics for an old engine and great sound effects/music and a good atmosphere to match. For the price they're selling the game, It's a steal!

This game is fucking addicting, wish they would have made a story mode though but still one of the best games i have played.

An extremely atmospheric and well done game. Probably the best co-op survival horror game I have ever played.

Killing Floor offers alot of fun and excitment for a $19.99 price! While it doesn't have many maps now, I'm hoping it will expand soon. The graphics are up to date and the game play is simple run-and-gun, which I don't mind. The Solo (Single Player) offers hours and I do mean hours of fun, terror and at times agravation. The perks and upgrades are a lovely add to the game, and you can pick a different one for each game so you are not stuck with the same. Sadly, like Left 4 Dead there is no story. In my opinion the blows Left 4 Dead away by a mile in a lot of areas, but in some it's the other way around. There is no demo (as of now) so view screenshots, game play videos and other reviews before you purchase because this is a love it or hate it game. Expand

  1. Killing Floor is a zombie game that lacks brain and own ideas. In the main part it's simply a Left 4 Dead clone with boring maps and graphics. But Killing Floor's emphasis on tactical gameplay, the solid coop mode and the cheap prize make the game worth a look.
  2. Tripwire Interactives Killing Floor is what you would expect of a polished mod, but doesn't exceed expectations as a retail game. It's good, but unfortunately far from perfect. A nice addition to the survival-horror genre though, and it has an attractively cheap price tag.

While the single-player experience is pretty much non-existent and there are still a large number of bugs that have to be contended with, there's enough of a foundation here for players to enjoy. Hop online and kill monsters for Queen and Country.
