It's a simple, fun time you can experience by yourself and with your friends. It has numerous addictive gameplay elements that will keep you coming back for more. Unfortunately, that has its limits and you will eventually become bored with it. However, for the price, It came from space and ate our brains gives you a lot, especially when compared to many indie games. If you like top-down horror-style arena shooters, this is something you'll want to grab.

It’s still a solid experience but it could use some expansion or improvement, which if a sequel is ever created, Triangle Studios surely has the opportunity to address.

It Came from Space and Ate Our Brains doesn't do anything all that differently from other games of its ilk. It does all of the expected things well enough, so you'll find the experience to be enjoyable either alone or with local friends. While not exactly a top-tier experience, it is recommended if you've gone through the slew of twin-stick heavy hitters the system already has on offer.

You get a gun, youA fun little top down shooter for a game or two at a time. It has online coop so playing with friends is available as well. You get a gun, you shoot aliens, you get money for shooting the aliens, you use said money to get better guns so you can shoot tougher aliens. And that's all there is to it. There are a good number of levels (11 as of writing) and the devs seem to be continuing to support the game with updates and additional levels. unfortunately the levels don't really feel different. Sure they all have a different layout and enemy spawns but with the very simple aesthetic of grey walls, floors, and everything, none of the maps play differently. You find a nice corner to hold the aliens off and if you can't you die. The complete lack of variety is what sets the game back. Every time you play a game it will feel the same as the last. Still, I enjoyed the short time i spent with it and you may want to check it out if you're looking for a quick fix in the top down shooter genre. Expand
