    Despite a strong "what-if" story, the game itself feels like it was released 6 months too early. Wait until they fix the install-stopping, game-stopping, gameplay-stopping bugs before considering this as your next purchase.

    5 because it's a mediocre game IF you can get it to play. I'd probably give it a 6 if I could get the multiplayer to work, but if I take the bugs that stop others from playing into account, I'd give it a 2.

    Alas, Iron Storm is the third type of game (most of the time, at least). When you try something different, it hinders you in unfair ways (you slow to a crawl, you meet invincible enemies...).
    Some levels are good (the trenches, the town), but some are quite awful (the underground facility, the train), or confusing and frustrating (the final Reichstag).
    On top of this, you have a few bugs, and an irritating unbalanced difficulty (I played on Easy... and it was sometimes too easy, and sometimes very hard!). Its "saving grace" is you can fast save anywhere; and trust me, saving often it's the only to way to finish this game while keeping your sanity.
    The premise was good and the game has some interesting ideas and atmosphere, but it also has uninspired locales and gameplay: in the end, it's a game that could have been good, but it's seriously flawed. Try it if you find it cheap and you have low expectations, but prepare to be frustrated.    … Expand

    Mouais bah encore un FPS bien ! vraiment bien... nul à chier ! réalisé par une bande d'amateurs, de stagiaires ou d'imbéciles. Ou les trois à la fois : des stagiaires amateurs imbéciles (bonjour les dégâts, mon adjudant... putain, on a retrouvé la 7ème con-pagnie !). Déjà , rien que le début du jeu, tu sais pas où aller, pas de carte, pas d'indication, rien, nada, que dalle...! et doncMouais bah encore un FPS bien ! vraiment bien... nul à chier ! réalisé par une bande d'amateurs, de stagiaires ou d'imbéciles.     Un FPS uchronique bricolé avec le fion, plutôt bien... moche donc mais qui tourne néanmoins sur Win 7, du moment qu'on lui impose pas le 1080 mais des résolutions intermédiaires... Tout cela est de toute façon fort peu inspiré... et ça manque également de goût, de bon goût, alors allez vous acheter du bon goût, **** développeurs à la petite semaine ! et apprenez à faire un jeu... parce que là, non mais franchement... quelle merde !    … Expand

    It's one of those games that have great potential and a rather intriguing base for the storyline. Too bad the technical side didn't fulfilled the expectations. The story could have more turning points and excitements, but it's better than most I've seen so far. Too bad, this game would've been a real gem in my collection. I gave it 7 and it's mostly because of the world setting and the story. Other elements deserve no more than 4 or 5.… Expand

    No way to play the game, always want a update. cannt update it.i rate it a (0).i had this game to 1 month cannt play on the net with it.

    The game has alot of problems, like people snipers shooting you and you get killed by one shot and you dont know where it came from. it was very annoying. The graphics are good. and so is the sound. What I really like about this game is that I really got into the atmosphere of the game. Overall I would recommend this game, despite some problems.

    I've never tried the multiplayer so I can't say if its good or bad. The single player is very hard and the graphics are looking dated. However, it has an intriguing story and an atmosphere that is almost unique. In it's time the game gad something of a cult following, but today it's largely forgotten.

    Good game, with a great atmosphere! But: 1. The game is too short. 2. The Game has a disappointing ending. 3. The game has a large number of bugs. Other than that, the games nice.

    iron storm é maravilhoso! O jogo que além de boa jogabilidade, ter uma história real e feita por uma equipe de desenvolvedores de qualidade é fantástico. Mas poderia sim ter mais pontos explicativos, em que vários momentos, o jogador fica em situações que não sabe o que fazer, ou onde deve ir... prejudicando muito a gameplay e diversão. Mas com certeza um ótimo FPS e pretendo jogar deiron storm é maravilhoso! O jogo que além de boa jogabilidade, ter uma história real e feita por uma equipe de desenvolvedores de qualidade é fantástico. Mas poderia sim ter mais pontos explicativos, em que vários momentos, o jogador fica em situações que não sabe o que fazer, ou onde deve ir... prejudicando muito a gameplay e diversão.     Isn't as bad as getting trench foot or being castrated by shrapnel, but it's still so full of tedium and frustration that paying for the game is pretty much an act of self-flagellation. [Feb 2003, p.98]
