It will be one of the best 30 minutes of your life but unfortunately not any longer. :( Expand

The release we get includes the original DLC that boasts a few costumes for your Piglet so you can do what you do best, but in style -- Cave in wolf skulls.

This arcade-style fighter has simple, responsive controls where you rack up combo of brutal wolf murder while avoiding being hit yourself. You do not move around the screen at all, instead you are locked in place, able to jump, kick, and punch your way through an endless swarm of the canine crew. The goal is fairly simple: slaughter as many as you can before you're overtaken by the crowd, and the longer you survive, the more creative the wolves will get, with chainsaws and wrecking balls coming at you, and its up to you to not only dodge the incoming threats, but take out the perpetrators in the process.

After a hundred bloody wolf corpses flash across your screen, you'll clear your first level and will be brought to a new battle background to wreak sweet vengeance upon the unwitting droves of bloodthirsty borks.

The real shine is the visual aspect, backgrounds with charming bright colors and cartoony critters with smooth minimalistic animations. The variety of wolves and the silliness of it all is worth a good chuckle or two as you toss meat cleavers into skulls and lay hooves to hide. In less than an hour of play, you'll see all there is to see, but if you're a high-score junkie or arcade fan, this game is pretty worth its price-point, reminding us of days gone by with the battery-operated LCD handheld fighters of our youth, (I'm recalling a Ninja Turtles game from Tiger I played as a kid, here.) because you play til you lose, and there is no real end to the onslaught of our cute little porker.

Overall, Iron Snout is probably one of the best indie gems to come to consoles in a while, and when I'm in the mood to just zone out and crack some wolf heads, I'll definitely be booting it back up again.

    Pros:
    Very responsive controls!
    Fantastic for high-score chasers
The art is well done, great costumes
Small ROM, great for collectors who like to have a variety on their console

    Cons:
    No horizontal movement
    Gameplay is repetitive
    Only a few battlebacks
    Overall: 8.0

But, I'm sure that the developer will update the game in the future! In the end, I DO recommend you check out this game. Expand
