The characters are interesting and charming, even the main character, while a little thick in regards to physics, is still actually an interesting fellow. The story progresses at a natural-seeming pace rather than a sudden *clap* they're in love that some games (Japanese and Western) follow. There are choices to allow for customization. The music and visuals are great. And of course the drama is interesting without being groan-inducing. *Golf-clap golf-clap.*
BUT! If all that's true, why am I docking points? Simple. The coding was done by lemmings and the localization on the unmodded version gets really bad in some routes. In some parts the game can be very unstable, and on more than one occasion the game refused to let me through so I had to start a new game and spam the mouse button to get back to where I was. And like I said, the unmodified localization, while good at first, can get pretty bad later on. Also, for those of you that care, the eroge was censored in the English release, presumably because Steam doesn't allow Adult Only rated games on its store. Thankfully, there are two restoration patches to fix most of these issues, though the game remains somewhat unstable and the game itself isn't getting more than A point for that in my book.
However, regardless of all the trouble, I personally think that the effort was with it. The characters are fun, the art absolutely gorgeous, the eroge 'entertaining,' the writing solid if not perfectly translated, and the story enjoyable. I would heartily recommend, with the asterisk sitting above my recommendation that you are willing to put up with some file tinkering to get the most out of it.… Expand
