    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is very cool, 10/10 for me. The visuals convey the atmosphere of Harry Potter very well. Also the story is very good. I don’t understand why people are so indignant about the optimization, because everything was fine on my RX580 almost all the time at the highest settings that I could do (there were maximum drawdowns when using lumos when performing tests with a mirror, but I think this is due to the fact that most likely a separate room is generated in the mirror + lumos generates light).… Expand

    I'm glad that this game came out in spite of, and even the agenda makes the game unique in its own way, uniqueness such that it is against those whom the game holds with two hands, nice. The plot is super, the graphics are super, the atmosphere is super a hundred times, take it, and don't think.

    Very disappointed with the PC performance of the game, lags too much in Hogwarts, I've had this kind of issue with a lot of other Unreal Engine game for some reason and the situation is the same her as well.

    The game is crazy good. It has a great level of detail, the sound is good and the open world is vast. I have 0 performance problems usually around 120 fps.

    First of all, I didn't like the side missions in the game. Secondly, this is Hogwarts School of Wizardry, I mean 6-7 teachers and not 100 students in total, preventing us from entering the universe. However, the Fighting mechanics are excellent, I haven't seen such good hitting feeling in a long time.

    Fantastic game. Nails the feeling and tone of the Harry Potter world and, unlike the most recent films based in that world, it actually creates a world you are excited to be in. There are some performance issues on PC with NVIDIA games for people who prepurchased, but hopefully those will be patched.

    I give this game a 5/10 because the story and gameplay is good but sadly I cant condone the performance issues the game has. My system is not bad but its not great either and I am literally struggling to stay above 60 fps most of the time and this is with DLSS on. Sadly I know the cause of this and its Denuvo. Any review that says it runs great on pc I am sorry but they are lying or theyI give this game a 5/10 because the story and gameplay is good but sadly I cant condone the performance issues the game has.     I'm not a fan of the HPU, but:
    Comfort, atmosphere, nice graphics, unobtrusive gameplay. A year ago I got 100% of achievements in Elden Ring, here and now I am resting.
    Memory leaks and FPS drops in cutscenes are frustrating.

    One of the best open world RPGs of our time. It is up there with the Witcher3. Played 30 hours so far and loving it.

    Hogwarts Legacy on PC is absolutely beautiful. It has terrific graphics performance, mechanics, voice acting, story, and music. So far, I have experienced very few glitches, save an occasional lag. The care and passion that went into its production is obvious. In my opinion Hogwarts Legacy is a masterpiece!

There is a heavy focus on exploration which just feels well done and rewarding with a good mix of puzzles. The combat is very good as well. The beginning obviously is quite basic since you only have a few spells but the further you get in the game with more spells unlocked and with more talents available, the combat just feels very smooth and satisfying. Difficulty is just right for me on normal, at times a bit challenging and at times not so much. The customization of your character is also pretty extensive with a good amount of options to choose from in the beginning and quite a big wardrobe of cosmetics to collect throughout the game. Quests are varied enough for me, they don't feel repetitive and I enjoy doing all the little side things the game has to offer. About the story I can't say much because I'm not super far into it but so far it's fine although nothing groundbreaking here.

    About PC performance. It seems that Nvidia cards have issues but AMD cards, like mine, do not have them (as much). I have a very pleasant and smooth experience with my RX 6800. Not saying it's perfect when it comes to optimization, it definitely can be better but maybe with a future patch or at least proper drivers for the game this can be solved.

    Viniendo de jugar GOW donde no te cortan ni para transportarte este juego se siente realmente mal.

I just don't like 1 thing that common rooms feel empty at night, and like nobody is sleeping at the common rooms, and you can't sleep there at all, immersion isn't great there.     outstanding game with outstanding effects the combat needs to get used to the story is interesting and brilliant open world with a lot to do you can do whatever you want the character customization is a bit dull but good the different designs of clothes are Wide and good looking different wand choice is wide and overall perfect and true to the books

    Wowza I'm really not sure how Avalanche has managed this but they've made probably the best licensed game since the Arkham series! Licensed games are not supposed to be this good!

    This is also the best Harry Potter/JK Rowling related work since the original books (I've seen the Fantastic Beasts and Curious Child etc and this blows them out of the water, and even the HP movies).     I've turned down the graphical settings and play at medium but it runs without issue for me. I've got ancient gaming PC and don't meet the recommended specs. So that's not bad.

    I've not completed the game but the story is good so far (about half way through), the side quests are reasonable but hardly ground breaking.

    Combat is tight and involves some tactics, better than expected compared to previous HP games.

    Music is pretty good, voices are a bit weird (if you don't leave it on default pitch).

    Great game from an otherwise ailing IP and a developer who really don't put out this kind of quality in the past.    … Expand

    I absolutely love this game. While I would not call myself a "Potterhead", this universe was huge part of my growing up and this game is everything I wished for back then when I was a dummy kid.
    The world is beautiful, Hogwarts are as puzzling and mysterious as they should, characters are great and very well voice acted. I enjoy open world activities a lot and I love how everything is    I absolutely love this game.     The plot is interesting and well constructed. The side missions are less varied, there are some successful ones, but the majority is collect it or bring it or kill it. but!!! The world and its exploration is so interesting that it doesn't bother you and you enjoy doing it. The battle system is certainly varied and interesting. Not boring and challenging.
    The game is not without problems, there are bugs and glitches and it seems that a lot of people have problems running the game smoothly.

    I feel transported back to my childhood, the graphics are stunning and create a good atmosphere. So far I haven't had any technical problems or bugs. However, I also play on a powerful computer. The main quest and side quest are well designed for an open world game and lead you to mystical places. It's been a long time since I've had a game I've looked forward to so much after work.

    Atrocious game, barely runs, full of plot holes and the story makes no sense, glitches everywhere, combat is terrible and there's only like 5 different enemy types, empty world with nothing to do, load screens everywhere, performance issues galore and runes even worse on PC than on console somehow!

    Love the game so far, the music, the acting, the many places you can explore, sure the open world is a bit barren but this isnt new york city, the combat is simple yet satisfying, I only wish there where more options for character customization like a height slider, or more options in general, I hope this game will be modeable, cant wait to see more.

    This really is the Harry Potter game we all have wanted for at least 20 years. But that is an understatement. The game is even more awesome than that! Also the exploration is fun and the collectible thing is designed completely different than the typical Ubicrap game where it becomes a chore.     Wonderfull Game!
    The map is awesome und full with great Task.
    Die Gameplay takes some time but after 2-3h i got it.
    The combatsystem looks and feels awesome!

    One of the most stunning game i ever saw! It's so well made with lots of love for details.

    I do NOT support all the things JK rowling did, but the game devs did a very well job with the game and the credit should be given to them!

    Fantastic game, I mean there is no other game like this at all set in the Harry Potter universe. It gives you this constant magical feeling. The combat is incredible and very engaging, much better than I had anticipated. I’m in awe at this game, they did an amazing job. PC performance is a bit rough at the moment with some major fps drops, but it never lasts long and it hasn’t trulyFantastic game, I mean there is no other game like this at all set in the Harry Potter universe.     Hogwarts Legacy has the same structure that you have seen in any other modern open world game, but at the same time it fills you with memories from the distant past ... It may not do anything fundamentally new compared to these games, but it there is something they lack: magic.

    So far, Hogwarts Legacy has been an amazing adventure. I'm in love with the details, the soundtrack, references, the world in general.
    I just hope they fix as soon as possible the performance issue on PC.

    Beautiful, captivating and absorbing game. I play on PC and it runs great. FPS most of the time is about 100. If it dip it goes down to 80fps which is still great.

I sent around 3 hours just going around and looking at these stunning scenes, then you get on a broom and can see it from the sky, so freaking good. RPG Elementals, Well I would have wanted a quick bar to the talking, as well as added in more people to properly talk to. But there are some and they are mostly pretty damn worth it to listen to all they say. I will say that they might have gone a bit too extreme on the diversity dial here, but so far I liked all the characters expect for one, and that is just the accent I really hate. So ingame mechanics is explained in the story which is awesome. Combat I like it, while it might get a bit boring if you just attack the Wolf monster, but there is a mix of creatures, like 3-4 spiders types, which have something unique each. But dealing with Dark Wizards, and goblins is where the combat shines. Might be boring after maybe 100 hours, but so fair I love the combat 9/10, while the difficulty is a bit under. Story while it is not the best story in the world, it is pretty good, maybe 7/10. Broom flying 10/10. So if you like Harry Potter it is a must play, if you like fantasy wizard games it is a must-play, if you are a RPG Fan you can skip it, but still I would recommend for you to play it.    … Expand

    Incredible. From the visuals, the voices, the combat to the story, the lore and the level of immersion, this game delievers. Still some small graphical bugs to be found here and there, but nothing dramatic. This game is a must for every fan of the Harry Potter franchise

The game definitely pushes its inclusive agenda to the forefront of the game for better or worse depending on your perspective. for all those claiming not to buy it because it funds JK Rowling, What about the dozens of developers who you are neglecting that actually agree with your agenda? to deny one person you are hurting so many more that pushed the inclusivity you ask for into this game.     Amazing game. Combat is 10/10. Graphics are beautiful. Game runs smoothly. Story is interesting. The World and Hogwarts really makes you want to explore and discover new things. All in all, you really feel like you are a part of the wizarding world. Here and there are still some minor bugs, but they are easily overlooked and ignored

    Everything a potter fan could have asked for. Wonderful open world filled with the magical elements we hoped/loved, it's a teal pleasure to walk in the rooms and corridors of Hogwarts and watch all the details programmers have put in. GOTY !

    Peformance is HORRIBLE. The Game could be really good. 9/10. But Parts of the game are even complelty unplayable with this insane framedrops

    Great graphics and immersive world. This is the best game I have played in my entire life. Im glad the developers are Harry Potter fans and did this game with knowledge and love.

    I'm enjoying this game a lot, the combat and exploration is really fun, and fits my expectations.
    However, I hope more optimizations are coming soon, as there are some issues with stutters which can be really annoying.

    This game is a true 10/10 for me. I absolutely adore it. It has completely captured the magic, for lack of a better word, of exploring Hogwarts and living in the wizarding world. With amazing and creative combat and secrets around every corner this game will keep you entertained for the long haul.

    I would have given this a 10 but.... PC performance is bad for now.

    The world, story, characters and all other aspects are amazing though!

If you are a harry potter fan, I still cannot recommend it. It is so derivative and dull. If you want to relive the magic of the movies, either watch the movies or buy the (far cheaper) lego games.     I love this game. They captured J.K. Rowling's vision of a greatly written fictional world almost perfectly in this game.
    It is only getting a 9/10 because the performance on a PC could be better and customization options could be a bit more organized. I hope they will add new content in future patches. So far I'm loving this new vision of Rowling's world.

    Me encanta el juego, hasta el momento me ha parecido lo mejor que he jugado. El mundo y las personas son increíbles, y he disfrutado cada batalla. Lo único que cuestionaría es un poco mejor de rendimiento, tengo una rtx 3060 ti y a veces hay bajones de fps.

    Well done game. Good story superb voice acting and the music as always is really good. As one might expect from a harry potter property. The exploration doesn't feel empty as there are many secrets and puzzles to uncover

What I also want to note negatively is how this doesn't feel like a PC game but more of a mobile game as it's apparant that it's a port and it has to work just the way it does on PC on the Switch as well... the loading times for doors leading outside are infuriating and unacceptable, I mean come on we already moved past this in the gaming industry and now we're coming back with the ports and mobile game quality games and switch versions? When will this world ever stick to progress and learn to speak up everytime we take a step back? You slapped Harry Potter on it and people who haven't owned current gen consoles or a reasonable graphics card are suddenly dropping 2+k $ and call this the best game in the world and think they are seeing 'progress' but all they are seeing is Harry Potter and their last game played 10 years ago and the conclusions they are coming to are about to be expected. And don't even get me started on the price tag (or the transphobic organisations you are supporting via royalties to JKR) ... I wish people weren't only buying merchandise from milked out franchises that capitalism is hyping just to maximise or streamline profits while simultaneously killing every 'boring' settings that would make much more sense in an RPG but just so happen not to be franchises like ... a thief? a Samurai? A knight? Just stop buying Harry Potter, they want you to buy just ONE thing to make you as predictable as a plank of wood or a brick of stone, this game has not shown any kind of progress or consumer friendliness in any way!     We all have to put out there for this studio to know: This game is so **** good! The love and hard work that I am seeing is mindblowing! I literally lost myself exploring the castle, didn't know where I was, from where I came, but was a feeling of lost that I didn't experienced with a game for like 5 years.     I have never watched or played any Harry Potter Movies/Game's so I have zero idea what the world is about.I am glad to say that this game showed me a pretty dope world which seems very fun and magical. The customization are pretty great and so is the combat system. I also found the dope talking Hat hilarious and a large chunk of the characters are charming and funny.     The game looks great but performs too badly in PC. I have a GTX 3070 and can't play in high, nor even in mid quality without a lot of FPS drops (like every minute). The prologue worked great in Ultra quality but when I arrived Hogwarts it was unplayable, I downgraded it to High quality (no ray tracing, no V-sync, settings as described in some webs) and FPS went from 80 to 20 like every 30The game looks great but performs too badly in PC.     The success of Hogwarts Legacy clearly shows that good sales and warm feedback from players are ensured not so much by the gameplay thought out to the smallest detail but by carefully reproducing the right atmosphere. But this is already a subtle moment, akin to real magic, and here the nameless developers of Avalanche Software succeeded.

    Hogwarts Legacy is an altogether excellent port of Wizarding World to PC screens. It proudly belongs to the Young Adult fiction genre, which may make immersion difficult for older gamers.
