    The game lives up to the hype!!! It’s pretty well done considering the ginormous size of it the game plays well on a decent PC with little issues surprisingly, just the occasional stuttering which does not affect gameplay at all! Really well done to Warner bros and Avalanche. We need more games like these! Truly a Game of The Year contender for 2023 for sure!!!! Ignore the woke activistsThe game lives up to the hype!!!     The strongest parts of the game are arguably the setting (perhaps unsurprisingly), and the combat which is fairly fun. If I had to compare the game to anything, I'd say it feels a little like Fallen Order, but in the Harry Potter world. Unfortunately, as an AAA release, there are also an unusual amount of bugs. Some were fixed by the day one patch, while some haven't been. A strange one to provide as an example is that if you adjust the pitch of the characters voice at all, it causes them to have an oddly robotic tone.

    If you aren't already interested in Harry Potter, then you should probably take a pass on this game. If you are interested in Harry Potter, you'll have a lot of fun. Again, I'd put it in a similar boat to Fallen Order with that particular line of logic.

    No, the game doesn't deserve the hate it's getting from one side, nor does it do the game any benefit to be promoted by reactionaries or trolls on the other side. There is no ethical consumption under capitalism, and if you're worried about where your money is going -- this game is probably going to benefit the author less than the Fantastic Beasts movies, which didn't draw nearly as much of a reaction, or ticket sales at Universal Studios, which also haven't drawn a reaction.

    If you want a fun Harry Potter game to play, this is probably the best one since the old PS2/Xbox Chamber of Secrets game.    … Expand

    Awesome, amazing, genre defining. Truly enjoy the castle, the hunt for hidden collectibles, the combat the spells, the characters, everything! It's a masterpiece.

    It's *fantastically* fun on it's own merits as an open world adventure game with probably *the* best spell slinging we've ever seen in a video game *ever*... but it's the clear respect for the source material (that still manages to chip away at the several problematic aspects of an aging IP) that has me really impressed.     I'm not a Harry Potter fan, though I do like it to some extent. This game however I was really excited for. I thought I might have been hyped too much, but in the end for me at least it blew me away. I have enjoyed every bit of it. I have not beaten it yet and it will probably still be a while before that happens, but from what I have played there is little complaints.

    I would say the story so far is decent. Gameplay is really good,. Its challenging and the spells are fun to use. The world is absolutely gorgeous and immersive to the Harry Potter world. Map is well laid out and easy to understand.

    Complaints so far.
    1. Character creator looks like you can do a good bit until you start messing with them and you're not really changing a whole lot. And the voice pitch is awful there is no reason to change it because your voice will sound weird like a robot or something.
    2. When you go through a lot of doors it has like a slight load stops you at the door but can be a little annoying, it's way better than a full-on loading screen though.

    Steam deck fully compatible.
    Because it's all your graphical settings on low for default, and definitely still takes a hit on performance.
    It's definitely playable on it, I have no idea what kind of miracle they're going to have to pull off to get this to work on the Nintendo Switch though. But that's for another review when it comes out.    … Expand

    Just like Callisto Protocol and Witcher 3 Next Gen this game has serious issues with CPU overhead/bottleneck in certain areas of the game especially with RT enabled causing GPU utilization and in turn frame rate to nose dive. I do not consider this in any way shape or form acceptable and the fact that pretty much every new pc release has been plagued with this issue is a joke.     Yer a wizard, Harry! This game is quite honestly the biggest surprise of the year so far. Cyberpunk 2077 has taught me that when a game seems too good to be true, it probably is.     I would have given it a 10/10 but sadly I had to deduct a point for the fact that even after the day 1 patch, the performance of the game isn't exactly great. I'm playing the game on an RTX 4080 with a Ryzen 7 5800X and 32GB of RAM, on a 4k monitor, and even with DLSS set to Balanced and DLSS frame generation turned on I would get unacceptably low framerates when traveling through the castle, which seemed to get worse over time. Restarting the game helped minimize this, which makes me believe the game must be suffering a memory leak. I hope this will get patched soon so I can give this game a 10/10!    … Expand

    Complete package!

    I bought the special edition version and got early access, and I can say this game has it all: story, graphics, nostalgia, and more! Honestly, it's been a welcome breath of fresh air, and I'm only 10 hours in!

    but it does so much more. You don't need to be a Potter fan
    to enjoy this gem! Get ready for at least 80hrs or more of game play fun!

    Loved it. Loved the choices of what the character and dark can look like. Beautiful open world. Im replaying it again.
    I especially loved when the thestrals appeared. NICE TOUCH!

    Подгрузки у дверей в хогвартсе - а зачем тогда ResizibleBAR я включал?
    RTX - это сказка, отражения зеркала - мыло мыльное, а при использовании фонарика новые тени не появляются, кстати в игре про магию с кастом огня от огня нет новых теней, даже от костров и факелов не всегда бывают тени.
    И вишенка на торте первые 2 часа это унылое обучение, первые локации сильно ограничены что бы выдать картинку хоть как-то похожую на игру, а дальше у вас заканчивается время на возврат и игра проседает.
    К 15 часу игры я получил гипогрифа и метлу, т.е. вот бонус за предзаказ я увидел через 15 часов. Но крафт и фарм ингридиентов в реальном времени м... Как вам 25 ждать ингредиентов на улучшения шмота? ТЗ у разрабов было явное: Игра на 60+ часов

    В игре никто не хочет пояснить за мир, за сюжет, почему я на 5 курсе попадаю в школу, что там за баллы и что они дают, почему я с самого начала умею кастовать с палкой, но меня посылают за новой палкой, почему гоблин кастует с руки без палки? При этом игра на каждое действие пихает активно обучение, затягивая попадание в неоптимизированные локации.    … Expand

    Excellent game, perfect if you are a Harry Potter fan. I personally havent had any performance issues, so do bear that in mind if you're going to buy. However, for me its a 10/10. I really hope to see some DLC and a sequel.

    this game is something special to wizarding fans and im just in love with this game, every enemy feels different with what spells are weaker to them and then the amor upgrades are just as useful along with potions, very interesting charecters that u can connect with. this game is a dream come true.

    Great game, despite what certain...humans tried to tell us. Flashy, fluid combat, lovely characters and story, but the real selling point is the immersion. You WILL be lost in the world, forgetting your original goal, just wandering in a beautiful world.

    Overall a passionate love letter to the work of Rowling. It's rare nowadays.

    With that said, you can believe me when I say that this game is easily one of the VERY best RPG experiences I have ever had. From the combat to the way it immerses you in the Wizarding World through relationships and stories, this game nails it.

    It is not perfect, but it is very close.

    Howgart's Legacy keeps you moving by always giving you new things to see and do (something many open-world games struggle to do these days,) and it does it all with that flare and style we loved from the Harry Potter movies. In my 35 hours so far, I have not felt the game become stale even once! It is always surprising me and teaching me new things. The story can look generic from the outside, but experiencing it with its nuances does so much to elevate what is essentially a very tropic story, to almost masterpiece levels of presentation.

    However, I want to be honest and so we have to talk about the few issues that the game does have. It IS plagued with some performance issues, but nothing that we haven't seen on a launch title before. Some frame rate issues and poorly implemented ray trancing seem to be the worse issues so far. I have also seen some other graphical anomalies that seem to be solved with a simple reset, such as the save image becoming glitchy looking when it appears. As I'm writing the game is patching with the day one patch so we might see this fixed.    … Expand

    The game is beautiful, the characters are intriguing and the story is interesting, but the performance is lackluster and leaves a lot to be desired. overall 7/10, will change to 8 if they end up fixing the performance issues but it really spoils an otherwise fantastic game.

    So far an 8/10 Game
    RTX 3090 often struggles giving constant fps.
    -2 Points due to bad pc optimization but amazing graphics.
    Story is about avarage but never boring.
    Other than that its a great game and i would highly recommend this game after some updates.
    In the end, Very nice RPG Not only for Harry Potter fans.
    +2 Points since day 1 patch fixed the fps.

    The game plays great for me. It's a typical open-world game like Skyrim etc. The voice acting is great for the main characters. It takes some getting used to but its a solid-built game and you can tell the makers really cared about making Hogwarts great.

    Avalanche did an amazing job creating a believable, detail rich and compelling world that would amaze any HP fan like me, who went through all the books and the movies. The game in its core is discrete open world RPG, with fast and fun combat mechanics and many many activities to do. There are clearly compromises to how the game looks, most likely due to its cross gen nature, but nothing that really makes the game feel 'old' or bad to watch. It's really really enjoyable, especially if you have a good PC.
    Audio wise, they did a great job, even if I heard a few instances where the mix could have been better tuned. Overall, soundtrack and SFX are top quality!
    Some day 1 performance issues and bugs do not affect the final user quality perception in my opinion, resulting in this being currently not only a fan favourite but definitely in a good spot for Game of the Year!

    To Avalanche: keep up the amazing work, take a few weeks to rest and enjoy the enormous work you have done, and then please work on improving the performance, fixing bugs and bringing us more and more content on this amazing world!    … Expand

    Thanks to them, I started watching videos about this game and it looked interesting so I bought the Deluxe version.
    But since I never watched the movies before, I didn't want to go in not knowing any backstory, so I watched the first 3 movies the weekend before    I had never watched one minute of Harry Potter or had much interest, until the woke mob started "Reeeeeeeeeeeee"ing about it.
    Thanks to them, I started watching videos about this game and it looked interesting so I bought the Deluxe version.

    But since I never watched the movies before, I didn't want to go in not knowing any backstory, so I watched the first 3 movies the weekend before launch and plan to watch the rest while playing Hogwarts!

Originally, I hadn't planned on buying the game at release, but the wave of story spoilers on social media was a jumpstart for me. I bit the bullet and paid full price and could not be happier. The game is deeply immersive and incredibly fun.It's absolutely incredible. For anyone who grew up with this franchise and wanted to immerse themselves in Hogwarts, this game is a dream come true. Originally, I hadn't planned on buying the game at release, but the wave of story spoilers on social media was a jumpstart for me. I bit the bullet and paid full price and could not be happier. The game is deeply immersive and incredibly fun. I'm about 11 hours in and I keep trying new combinations of spells throughout.     This is the game we all wanted when stepping into the world of Harry Potter. I recommend that you ensure you have the latest drivers before playing the game, the 8/2 update for Nvidia fixed basically all of my stuttering issues now playing at a nice smooth 60 FPS in Ultra.

    The only thing I can say negatively about Hogwarts Legacy is that there is some performance issues on PC. But the game is still very playable even with these issues. Other than that the game is simply awesome.

    The open World Potter game you have been waiting for. I got the deluxe version of the game and have played a good deal now. The world is so detailed and magical. All the moving paintings and staircases you expect. Combat is fun too! Hard mode has enough of a challenge to keep this Elden Ring fan happy. yes the game does have some performance issues.     If you would have shown any Harry Potter fan this game in 2001 their head would have exploded. Strictly looking at this game in it's own and not comparing it to similar titles, this is the best Harry Potter experience to ever come to PC. If you just focus on the game on it's own merits and don't bring politics into it, it provides a very magical experience.

    Great game, ok story, lots to explore, lots to do. I'd give it an 8 really, cuz there's really nothing revolutionary about this game aside from finally existing a good HP world game where you can fully explore Hogwarts done right. But to counter those 0 score nonsense reviews I'll go with 10

    The combat is great, especially on hard mode as you can't just counter your way through shield breaks. You actually have to think about which spells to cast. Now this game has a Metacritic score of 8.5 on PC and 9.1 on PS5. This taught me that averange people are not objective but rather fanatic and fanboy.     For me this game is definitely a YES, buy this game. BUT, im playing on a PC and i can say that the game is pretty unstable and bad optimized and it has lacks of performance everywhere. I have a razer laptop with Nvidia 3060/I7 10750/16 of Ram.
    Im pretty sick of games that requires NASA PC to run well just because they aren't optimized good (BTW the graphic of the game is good but not WOW. It's just slightly better then The Witcher 3).

    Other cons of the game are:
    - Lacks of variety aspect of NPC students.
    - Poor idle animations of NPC.
    - NPC are a bit boring inside Hogwarts.
    - Poor character customization at the game start.
    - Ambient occlusion is bad.
    - In italian the voice of my character is weird and quite robotic.
    - There isn't Quiddich hehe.

    Pro:
    - The world of harry potter is faithfully reproduced and is really impressive.
    - Fantastic general mood and feedback.
    - OST is great and it has perfect Harry Potter vibes.
    - Tons of funny stuff to do, enigma and secrets.
    - Levelling system. I like the fact that levelling the character is also strongly tied to collecting items, so you're encouraged to searching (and is really fun)
    - Combat system really good and fun (there is roll like Dark Souls hehe).
    - Quests are not boring.
    - Particle effects.
    - Large amount of clothing customization.
    - Large amount of collectibles.

    Im sure there are more pro and cons in the game but i didn't played enough yet to judge but in general the game is awesome. To be honest i would like to put a thumbs down untill they will fix performances (and because people are fanatics) but, has you can see pro are much much more important than cons. I want to trust developers that they will fix the problems because they did good job, so i will put a thumbs up!    … Expand

    By far the worst performance I've experienced in a pc game. I'm using 2070 super, 16gb ram and 6 core and still have 5-10 fps drops and some parts of the game are unplayable. I bought the 72h early access and it's one of the most regreted decisions of my life, the game is a scam because even tho you buy it early you can't even play it properly until they release the patch (which theBy far the worst performance I've experienced in a pc game.     I have been enjoying the game since the first minute of the early access and I can assure you it won’t disappoint. I just wish I could make my character more pale to match my skin tone and maybe some beard options, yes I already had beard with 15, also more male hairstyles. But I’m still giving it a 10 because those are just personal cosmetic reasons. The rest of the game is pleasing meI have been enjoying the game since the first minute of the early access and I can assure you it won’t disappoint.     The plot holes and the writing being worse than a mid tier JRPG is enough to warrant a low score. The game really does not have much to offer outside of the main game as most of the side content are just fetch quests. So the main game and the story not being a rehash and mix of plot points form the books would have been at least worthy of some respect. The macguffin is the end point of the game and it's ancient.

    Combat is where I really laughed a lot at the game. Forspoken got a lot of deserved criticism but its spells looked better and even the combat felt slightly better than this point and shoot. Though what really made me laugh at the combat were idiotic mechanics where the spell has to be the same color as that of the shield to break the shield. The mechanics and the purpose of the spell be damned, the color is what determines duel outcomes. Every complex and compelling magic system I can think of, like Oblivion or Magicka has been respectful of their audience to give them more. The fact that games not based on magic have more variety and quality in their spells catalogue than Hogwarts Legacy is both insulting and amusing.

    The open world is not really open if one examines it closely. The aesthetics are decently done but that would be a very insignificant plus point as opposed to gameplay in that world feeling hollow. Once you scour the countryside a bit more, you realise that the so called open world is anoter exercise in Ubisoft open world shenanigans. The difference is that a modern Ubisoft Assassin's Creed has still more to offer than Hogwarts Legacy. Granted that's because of Ubisoft flinging more quantity and getting a few lucky shots, but in this race to the bottom, I can only draw these forms of comparisons.

    The only bits funnier than the combat system are the reviewers insisting that there is build variety in the game. I expect this game might get microstransactions in the future and some more minigames because well the fans of hte franchise are very easy to exploit and gaming fans even more so, as EA and Activision have continually demonstrated over the last decade or so.

    I absolutely love it. There are just 2 things that suck (for me) atm.
    The first thing is that you can get soft locked easily. There is a possibility to get a checkpoint right in front of a enemy that will always attack you immediately after you load the save.

Being in a different house only really effects a couple NPC dialogue options and a single quest in the game (and the obvious stuff like your common room). The classes you take don't really feel like classes as much as they feel like tutorials for the 12 different spells in the game. Nothing in this game is unique or innovative and it seems to try to use its source material as nostalgia bait to try to hide that fact. The Performance of this game is a mess. Even with my very powerful computer; I had crashes and I lost my save file data more than a few times (I had to make multiple copies of each save to prevent losing my progress). FPS would randomly drop in certain areas while in others I would get a consistent 120 FPS (And the FPS wouldn't drop again in the same areas which made it seemingly random). The facial expressions in this game are absolutely ugly as hell; I had to remake my character twice because of how creepy they turned out looking in the cutscenes. This game could have been something really special but its just another mediocre movie game that also has terrible performance.     Hogwarts Legacy is simply the best Harry Potter game ever released, and even someone who is non-binary in real life can see how much value this game has, and even has albeit token inclusion it still doesn't negative the stain of JKRs opinions, but this is about video games and not politics, and we should stick to the task at hand.

    Gameplay is summed up in one word, magic because as per typical Harry Potter style, you learn magical attacks and defense as you progress through the story and the combat feels natural and fun, with many different combos and special attacks to make for a thrilling combat system with a loot system similar to Assassin's Creed Odyssey, gear appearance can be changed anytime and that provides for a good character customization, it isn't perfect but it works.

    Sound and graphics are both excellent, Honestly I feel like Avalanche's previous title releases have been holding back this studio because Hogwarts Legacy clearly shows what this developer can do. The game does have a few minor sound bugs though such as walking sound effects disappearing so you are walking in complete silence, and sometimes your voice goes very robotic in nature. The bigger issues are related to performance with significant frame rate drops in certain places and a few minor bugs mostly related to being full of items and opening a chest making you lose the item forever but so far nothing truly gamebreaking as of writing this review.

    Overall, Hogwarts Legacy is a brilliant game that Harry Potter fans deserve, ignoring the bold claims of antisemitism and trans issues aside, Hogwarts Legacy is faithful to the franchise even down to the little details, plenty of puzzle elements and a morass of collectable items and side quests to keep everyone busy, I would say a contender for game of the year for sure.    … Expand

The world of hogwarts legacy is amazingly designed and hogwarts itself made me goosebumps several times when you walk through this legendary halls.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is unimaginably horrible and it's baffling it's the hill so many are willing to d*e on. There is no enemy variety, which is for sure a good idea for a modern open world game. There is no spell variety either, which again certainly great idea for a modern rpg based solely around it's magic, but Harry Potter has always had a terrible magic system so. For reference Final Fantasy (1987 NES) has triple as many spells (60), and Skyrim a more modern open world game for comparison has over 100 and both those games have multiple combat classes. The game will let you use the "unforgivable curses" but it has no morality system to give any meaningful consequences to your actions because according to the devs it would be "too judgmental on the game maker's part". The game is also a buggy mess and anyone saying otherwise is just lying, the game literally has Denuvo. But none of this is surprising, every trailer made it look lackluster and it's made by the developers infamous for Disney tie-in shovelware.

    And now for the elephant in the room... The game doubles down on all the r*cism and antis*mitism of its source material, anyone saying Terfling had nothing to do with this game is bending the truth. The official Q&A for the game on their site says they worked closely with her team so it perfectly fits her world, and that it does a little too perfectly. The main premise is squashing a goblin rebellion riddled with antis*mitism. The goblin rebellions are not new to the franchise, they are a thing mentioned in the books and expanded material as something the students learn in history class. And what were all the rebellions about? The lack or basic rights like using wands, and *checks notes* wizards attempting to ensl*ve them "as house elves" but we’re supposed to believe they’re still the villains throughout the franchise?
    Which brings us to the next topic, the house elves... As in the source material Hogwarts is run by sl*ve labor and the franchise doesn't want us to look deeper into what that means, waving it off with "well they like it". But if wizards can attempt to ensl*ve goblins as “house elves” what does that actually mean, what exactly is a “house elf” and why doesn’t the series want us to examine it? The head house elf at Hogwarts becomes a companion, so you don't actually get to own a sl*ve but you still get one by proxy. The game also lets you decorate the Room of Requirement with mounted house elf heads, with how controversial this aspect of the books has always been idk who on the dev team didn’t think “maybe we shouldn’t keep the mounted head of a sapient creature decoration item”. Again none of this is surprising given the source material where they decorate houses with elf heads and the kids put little hats on during christmas, oh isn’t it so cute and whimsical? The game is also a prequel set in the 1800s so it can't actually effectively deconstruct the issues with the source material, the goblins are still the antis*metic bankers, the house elves are still sl*ves, and the wizards are still the good guys that have every right to oppress them. Just like Terflings own politics and the politics of the source material the game's message is about preserving the status quo, nothing meaningful can change and it shouldn’t cause we have a continuity to uphold d*mnit!
    The game also throws in the series "first trans character" who they named "Sirona Ryan", this is a name of a Celtic goddess (as many people will point out in an attempt to ignore criticism, despite that bit not being the issue with the name) but just like "Cho Chang", "Anthony Goldstein" and "Kingsley Shacklebolt" it's certainly a choice out of all the Celtic goddess names to deliberately use that one for your first trans women. Sirona was also very obviously thrown in last minute in an attempt to say the game was divorced from Terflings and her raging transphobia, but as you can see the game is quite the opposite.

    In conclusion this game is truly the “Legacy” of this franchise and I can see why fans say “this is everything I ever wanted in a Harry Potter game” because this is all the franchise really truly is. I certainly hope everyone who bought the deluxe edition for the sole reason to spite a minority the author is actively harming daily love their overpriced shovelware and sodder off. Remember yall were the same people in the 90s who hated and wanted to boycott the books for being “satanic”.

    And for anyone who can’t let go of the franchise because of “childhood” and cause “it’s so magical”, let me recommend “Earthsea” by Ursula K. Le Guin, “Discworld” by Terry Pratchett, and “Percy Jackson” by Rick Riordian. None of those series are perfect and have their fair share of problems, but they were written by authors who actually cared, who actually took criticism and grew from it.     It's so much fun, it feels like you're really at Hogwarts. And the graphics are amazing. I've played 11 hours in two workdays lol. Some performance bugs right now but they'll probably be fixed soon.

    But the best part of the game is that the world feels alive. Hogwart feels real and detailed. This is the HP game we were waiting for.
    Also, game have the usual problem with modern Open World games design, too many repetitive things to do. Clear Dark Wizards camp, finish the same puzzle 8 times, you know the drill. Good thing that those are mostly optional.
    Combat can be challenging when it comes to fighting with multiple opponents. Spells are fun to use, and the game encourages you to use them all.    … Expand

    With that out of the way, let me first touch on the performance. It's bad. Like, really bad. I have to put my settings on high graphics with ultra performance DLSS, and I still get framedrops below 50 at times... with an RTX 3080... That should not be happening. Now I do realize that this may change with a day 1 patch, since the game is still in early release. That's why I won't include it in my actual rating. Just figured it's worth mentioning atleast.

    Now, the performance is something that can be fixed, but there are some things that just can't be fixed and they may be dealbreakers to people so I'll touch on those as well. The terrible voice acting is the first thing to come to mind. Seriously, none of the voice actors so far, are good, except for Ranrok. Even the main character (male atleast) sucks. I am somewhat intrigued to find out more about the main story, but I really dislike the fact that the main character; the one we play as - is shrouded in mystery. How are we supposed to connect to our personalized, carefully crafted RPG character, when we have no idea who or what he is? These are things that should be explained early on. After 20-ish hours, I still have no clue who the character - that I named after myself - is...

    Now with all that, I make it sound like it's a bad game. It's not, and I'm not saying it is. The world-building is awesome and Hogwarts, as well as everything else, is beautifully crafted. It really feels like Harry Potter. They absolutely nailed the atmosphere and music. The gameplay itself is also pretty damn satisfying. Imagine a Batman Arkham game; but with Harry Potter spells. Pretty good stuff.

    The things I mentioned would just elevate this from being an average RPG, to being a GOTY contender. Unfortunately, most of these issues are core to the game, so they can't be changed. I don't expect them to just recast the countless bad voice actors with competent ones, nor do I expect them to fundamentally change the story to introduce you to the character early on. These are deliberate story and casting decisions and it is what it is, but those things are definitely what holds the game back and therefor, I can't rate it any higher than a 7/10.

    If you are a weathered gamer who is tired of the same old "go here," "fetch this," "kill that" RPG, this game is NOT for you. It does nothing to change the formula we've all known forever, so if you are looking for the next Elden Ring, this game will disappoint you.

    If you're a big Potter-Head however, you may find this game to be what you've wanted for all these years. Exploring Hogwarts and famous locations from the movies/books, is insanely fun, and it has a nice combat system to keep you interested as well, alongside some truly great music that sounds like it could be composed by John Williaks himself!    … Expand

    This game is a perfect 10 for me. Only issue I have is rarely the frame rate will dip into the teens but a quick wand cast of revelio and it seems to go back up 99% of the time. That little non impacting issue doesn’t warrant a 9 for me. Im 20 hours in and it doesn’t feel like I’m running out of anything to do or getting bored in the slightest. Usually by now or sooner I am already boredThis game is a perfect 10 for me.     This the best game I've played in years. I've about 15 hours in, I can't put it down. I'm so glad it's great with all the hype it had I didn't want it to fail. A few nitpicks, like add remapping of target lock switch, option to pause cutscreens, the castle map is a bit confusing but apart from that so good so far.

    The success of Hogwarts Legacy clearly shows that good sales and warm feedback from players are ensured not so much by the gameplay thought out to the smallest detail but by carefully reproducing the right atmosphere. But this is already a subtle moment, akin to real magic, and here the nameless developers of Avalanche Software succeeded.

    Hogwarts Legacy is an altogether excellent port of Wizarding World to PC screens. It proudly belongs to the Young Adult fiction genre, which may make immersion difficult for older gamers.
