    Неплохой шаг вперёд для игровой индустрии.

    HL: Alyx показывает, что в VR вполне можно делать полноценные игры, а Alyx достаточно длинная, примерно на 15 часов прохождения (что больше, чем любая прошлая часть Half-life). Физика, графика, звук и геймплей - всё на высочайшем уровне и претензий к ним вообще нету. Взаимодействие с окружением в этой игре невероятное, ничего подобного в    Неплохой шаг вперёд для игровой индустрии.

    Absolute masterpiece. Valve has yet again released revolutionary Half-Life title.
    I only have my cheap old Oculus Rift, but the experience is breathtaking, the level of detail, immersion and just how much you can do with the environment.
    Wonderful game, I can say that this one will be played in the future to have nostalgia trip, just like Half-Life 1 and Half-Life 2 are played on the    Absolute masterpiece. Valve has yet again released revolutionary Half-Life title.

    I have to give it 9/10 though because the VR audience seems to be rabid.
    They're calling everyone who doesn't think that VR is the lord and savior of gaming "idiot, poor" etc.
    And nobody who doesn't think that EVERYTHING is better through VR haven't apparently tried VR.
    I got bullied, I got harassed and others just joined the crowd to do that.

    Fantastic game, however I don't want to be seen as its "fanbase".    … Expand

    A must for VR fans and a great introduction for VR newcomers. A great sci-fi story with ambitious environments and mechanics. Mind bending experience for sure. Some things that could've been implemented are not here, like melee combat or more direct physical contact with the enemies and more physical puzzles. Also grabbing corners or objects to peek like in The Walking Dead Saints andA must for VR fans and a great introduction for VR newcomers. A great sci-fi story with ambitious environments and mechanics. Mind bending experience for sure.     Even with those little things, the game does a ton of other things better that any other VR game and is in another league completely.

    As a fan of the Half-Life games for 15 years, i cried and wept for almost 15 minutes as i experienced the ending.

    El juego es simplemente absorbente, no hay palabras. Es altamente inmersivo, los escenarios son increíbles, los puzles interesantes, la ambientación del universo Half Life espectacular...
    Lo único que se echa en falta es la posibilidad de poder correr...
    Y el único defecto del juego, que se acabe. Me ha costado 18 horas, porque juego sin prisas, explorando todo bien, buscando recursos    El juego es simplemente absorbente, no hay palabras.     After 13 years not disspointed I waited so long and I get what I deserved. Thank you Valve for making Half-Life again and made it awesome than ever! Ending make me cry not gona lie. But I hate you JEFF.

    Absolutely amazing! First game in VR that is not just a gimmick but is actually a proper game great gameplay and storyline. The visuals are best I have seen on VR so far.

    Perfect 11. After this, I cannot play a non VR AAA title! Hurry up others and make more. It is like going back to a B&W TV after experiencing Half Life Alyx in VR. I haven't written a review because I have never been inspired to until now...

    An absolutely masterful work of art. This game feels like a game from the future, and it sets the standard for what video games should be moving forward -- VR or not. I cannot recommend this game enough. 10/10, masterpiece.

    Alyx is as conservative as it is groundbreaking. I don't really know what I was expecting from it, as the company that made it has notoriously been out of the game making loop for years, and Alyx definitely shows that. The game's mechanics all feel next to identical, if a little dumbed down compared to previous HL games. You go through a set of linear levels solving puzzles and fightingAlyx is as conservative as it is groundbreaking. You go through a set of linear levels solving puzzles and fighting both human and monstrous foes with an assortment of weapons. The only difference is that this time you only have three weapons to choose from, with only two being particularly viable for most of the game. Combined with a slight ammo drought, the lack of melee feels kind of jarring.

    Although the game doesn't break boundaries in terms of gameplay, it still feels that way just due to just how damn polished it is. It's the little things that you don't even think about that sell it best. The enemies react to everything in a super natural way, with hundreds of procedural animations that play out in front of you in real time. The sound design is fantastic, with every step feeling just right. Overall the entire game just is an experience to play, and the fact that you're not even conscious about it all makes it all the better.

    I do have some complaints. While the teleport movement is some of the best I've seen, I still vastly prefer the smooth locomotion option which feels like an afterthought. Several points, namely jumping, absolutely require teleporting, and as Alyx cannot sprint the movement speed is far too low. You'll end up having to teleport anyways, especially in combat, which isn't ideal in my mind. I also with the weapons were just a tad more physical. two handed aiming would have been nice.

    These points are mostly just nitpicks, but they still are there. Compared to other VR experiments like Boneworks, I think Alyx is not the perfect VR game Still, Alyx just does much more right than any other VR game out there to the point where it's easy to forgive it's failings. If you have the hardware, this is the game you're looking for. You won't regret it even for a second.    … Expand

    A bland shooter with slightly more interactive elements.

    Valve has done it again! One of the only companys that would push a medium that isnt widely adopted and making it a must buy. In a year where TLOU2 and Cyberpunk2077 will release, I can say without a doubt this will remain my GOTY.

    This game was simply amazing in every way. Even on a lower end VR headset that I played on (Samsung Odyssey HMD+) this game was stunning. The attention to    Valve has done it again! The way the gameplay is built around the grabbity gloves also is so intuitive and easy to use i had a blast anytime I had to use them (which is all the time)

    The story is suitably Half Life. HL oozes through every interaction of every character, level, voive and so on. The atmosphere is so enthralling that the game is hard to put down. Its so well done that its making me want to replay through HL 1 & 2 again just bc I am so sucked into the universe again. There are sections of the game that also go full horror and creep and its so much more immersive in VR.

    I played on the normal difficulty and found it a perfect balance of challenge and enjoyment. The game clocked in at around 13 hours for me which I found perfect. Any longer and I think it would have overstayed its welcome for a first time experience in VR.
    The gameplay CONSTANTLY throws new challenges at you. Every time youre just getting used to one mechanic, the game throws something new at you. it really keeps you on your toes.

    I could go on and on about the positives about the game. Its certainly not perfect though. While I'd say 95% of the game is extremely intuitive, there are definitely parts that you scratch your head as you figure out what to do next. The game barley gives any help at all and its up to you as an experienced gamer to figure out some of the puzzles yourself. Unless you are a total beginner at video games, you will eventually figure out what to do. But if youre a first time gamer and just jumping into this, good luck.

    Overall this game is a masterpiece in my eyes. To push the medium of VR to the next level and making this a reason to get VR is a serious accomplishment. I highly recommend this game to fans of the franchise and newcomers alike. The gameplay and atmosphere are too good to pass up.

    I would also rate the game with 9.5/10.
    Its a really nice game with a Lot to interact with.
    Until this day there were a lot of small games wich made Fun but there was no real VR game. I thought i was wasting my money for buying the Rift S but finaly there is a game wich i can enjoy. Especialy the possibility of teleportation movement (you also can move with Joystick or half teleport)    I would also rate the game with 9.5/10.
    Its a really nice game with a Lot to interact with.

    one fo the best vr games i have ever played, very well polished with nice pacing, there is a lack of melee combat but there is a reason for that which is explained after the game ends. generally one of the greatest experiences the vr can offer, and is the game that needed in order to give confidence to more devs to invest in vr games.

    Played on VIVE Cosmos. And it´s incredible!!! You are inside Half-Life world, fantastic true graphics, physics and great new experience, even inside VR games, because it´s not only regular vr-project - you are entering inside this world, you´ve seen years ago in HL and HL2 series. 10/10.

    I dont think ive ever said wow after finishing a game before but it would be impossible to not after playing this masterpiece.

    This is truly what a triple-A VR game can bring to the table and knows it. The story, the mechanics, everything. This is the first time something has truly not felt like a gimmick or demo in VR to me.     A game that gives emotions from the start, although in the middle of the game, it becomes boring, but by the end it begins to unfold. I really liked the component related to hide and seek. I consider it a great continuation of the series and a hint of the next part.

    An exceptional VR game, I wish there was a bit more difficulty but as far as most of the game design choices go i think they made the right ones. I still think the best VR experiences are in racing & flying simulators but i guess that's even more expense for people.

    This is, without question, one of the best experiences I've had with a PC, ever. Period. The fantastic story telling combined with the sheer creativity, bolstered by perfect performance makes this a fantastic ride that sets the bar so, so high for VR games, it's unreal. Buy it. Play it. Play it at a friends place if you can't yourself. Do. It.

    The most immersive game experience I have ever had.. The sound / graphics design of this game combines perfectly to always trick your brain into thinking everything is a bit too real... The game developers read my every move so well it was almost more terrifying than the goddamn headcrabs!

    Again, Valve has delivered a game that sets a standard for a genre. The best VR experience on the market, any headset can be used to experienced (I use Vive, no problems).     The entire game without a doubt blew me away. Borderline favorite Half-life game of all time. The graphics, gunplay, even small things like lighting just bring the game a completely new and fresh feel. Absolutely recommend!

    C'est clairement LE jeu VR qui exploite le mieux cette fonction : il y a un très grand souci du détail, beaucoup d'interactions, ce qui pousse en avant le réalisme. Tout ça dans cette ambiance, c'est juste ...wahou !
    Malheureusement, le jeu n'est pas localisé autrement qu'en anglais, ce qui me fait lui enlever un point (oui c'est important pour moi. Les pro-VO râleurs peuvent toujours mettre le jeu en VO, alors que moi je n'ai pas le choix).

    Très bon point concernant l'optimisation. Le rendu global du jeu est propre, les vues proches et les textures sont extrêmement détaillées (les vues lointaines un peu moins. Mais au regard des performances nécessaires c'est un moindre mal). Je suis sur une génération de carte graphique inférieure (GTX 1070) et le jeu tourne comme un charme, détail élevés.

    I've never had so much fun in a video game. Valve continues to deliver on their high quality games. The story is absolutely amazing, I teared up and I haven't played half life 1 or 2. So as an entry to the series, this really met my expectations. Exceeded them in fact.

    I've played a lot of VR games and Half-Life: Alyx is certainly one of the more polished ones of the lot. So why did I give it a 6? Well first of all, it fails to do anything new. I was excited for what Valve could come up with with their infinite resources, but unfortunately there's not much to set this apart from other VR titles. It comes with the same bugs i.e. hands disappearing, frameI've played a lot of VR games and Half-Life: Alyx is certainly one of the more polished ones of the lot. So why did I give it a 6? Well first of all, it fails to do anything new. I was excited for what Valve could come up with with their infinite resources, but unfortunately there's not much to set this apart from other VR titles. It comes with the same bugs i.e. hands disappearing, frame drops, tracking issues and so forth. The mechanics are great, they work well, from the gravity hands, to guns, and combat. However the game really drops the ball on level design. The core loop is extremely repetitive and gets tedious at times. The game is essentially a room simulator with constant lock & key puzzles. 1. You walk into a room, grab some resin, grab ammo, grab health pick ups. 2. You find an enemy fight an enemy or two, and kill them. 3. You find a locked door. 4. You find a way to unlock that door (which is usually a key card, power core, or re-routing some power) 5. You get to the next room and rinse and repeat. This is an extremely dull way of doing puzzles without much creativity, each puzzle gets slightly more complicated but they are all essentially the same puzzle copy+pasted. This is a far cry from the interesting level design of Half-Life 2.
    As for the story - it's there, stuff certainly happens. Can't fault the game in this sense. Voice acting is good, but can get annoying at times - each time you're about to run out of ammo Alyx exclaims "this is my last clip" as if you can't see the hud. This wouldn't be that bad if not for the fact that you're usually close to being out of ammo.
    On the subject of ammo - what were you thinking? I've had several encounters where I have no ammo at all, and I end up running around the level whilst under attack hoping to find some here or there, which isn't easy when you die from a few shots. I've also had an encounter with 10 combine soldiers where each one dropped health pick ups but no ammo at all. So I'm expected to kill all these dudes with health pick ups? When you run out of ammo that's it, there's no way to fight back, Half-Life 1 / 2 didn't have this issue as you had the crowbar. This is a big oversight as well.

    Wow wow wow. This is truely the next level for the art of computer games. Valve got it 100% right. The immersion factor is incredible, the gameplay fun.     This cannot be stressed enough, the atmosphere and immersion in this game are like nothing else. it's a bloody masterpiece. Every step of the way (even the slowest moments) have your attention. Then there is the story... omg, if you're a HL fan you will LOVE it, if you're not, you should be.

    Absolute terrific delivery from Valve. Graphics are really good and balanced, physics top notch and the story of half-life is unraveled deeper. Even on a cheap WMR headset you can really enjoy this masterpiece.
    Could not recommend more.

    Definitely one of the most satisfying VR titles i've played thus far! Works amazing on my HP and the gun play is so satisfying! the story is relate able and the pacing of game play is quite nice! love it and would HIGHLY recommend this game!

    Hands down the most immersive VR experience that I've had the pleasure to enjoy (and in some ways endure). The spectrum of delight and terror that I experienced was truly awesome. Thank you Valve for doing your part to push the standard of VR gaming to this extent.

    Honestly, this is the best game you can buy. If you are lucky enough to own a HMD, I urge you to buy this game. I'm pretty sure this is a game I can let newcomers play to, given the right comfort settings.

    And the story, oh boy. You're getting a real treat, as usual with a single player Valve game. This is a great look into how games once where and how they should be.

    I read most negative review on here, and honestly i think non of them have a VR-headset. This game is the best game i ever played, it is just mind blowing good. Every chapter is good en the ending is just epic!

    Best story driven interactive adventure ever created. Absolutely insane immersion and an ending that sent chills down my spine. 100% worth the wait, I loved every single second of my 17h first play through and I will replay that title time and time again until another VR entry from Valve releases, if they decide to bless us with more.

    The best game in VR without much of a debate. the only thing it is lacking is melee combat, but it didn't really hurt the experience because of how fun the guns were to use.

    The Source 2 in all it's glory is finally being used to the full potential, and it's lighting is so good that it can put Unreal Engine to shame.

    Graphics:
    The graphics in this game look terrible, especially when you're playing this game with a giant strap over your head. It hurt my eyes to look at anything, mostly because I had my eyes wide open with a plastic headset resting on them, but that probably had something to do with the graphics.
    Controls:
    I don't care how it controls, I have the headset hurting my head.
    Gameplay:
    Really fun, if you hate fun. The terrible controls ruin everything, enemies are untouchable, because you'll be busy turning around slowly to find them, with your little imaginary gun. Boring gameplay, way too boring. I got a hole in the wall at my local Chile's' that I got stuck in because I tried to play this game in there. I can't see anything, terrible game.

    The game managed to recreate half life 2 atmosphere and feel. The level of polish put in this game is impressive. It's the first AAA vr game to date. The graphics are great. The shooting is great. The physics are great and the level of interaction is very impressive. And of course the puzzles are fun.

The story, too, is well-written and with its ending one can only assume what's to come for this fantastic game and series overall!

    Don't be fooled by the negative reviews coming from people who don't own VR. This game is a masterpiece and sets a new bar for what VR single player campaigns can be. I've already sunk 16 hours into it, I cannot get enough.

Valve uses small game mechanics to get you exploring every nook and cranny that exists in this game and that's when you get immersed so much into it that 3h are just flying by without you noticing. There are also a lot of darkish/horror like elements in the game that are so beautifuly integrated that you will need to gather all of your confidence just moving out of your hiding spot. And don't get me started on the overall details and atmosphere this game builds up in every new room. It's the most detailed VR game to date. This game is and should be VR only because it's while premise wouldn't work otherwise. Really looking forward to what Valve has planned for us in the coming years. tl;dr: A VR Masterpiece.… Expand

    One of the best game I’ve ever played. The story and ending are a complete masterpiece. This game is made for everyone. VR can be finicky and make you sick, I’m looking at you boneworks and hot dogs and hand grenades, but Half Life Alyx is just perfect. I can’t wait for HL3:VR.

This emblematic franchise has been brought to virtual reality; in Alyx we enjoy an immersion never seen before, with comfortable and intuitive mechanics as well as excellent visuals and atmosphere that accompany this interesting adventure within the iconic saga.

    A special mention should be made of the game's dialog, mainly consisting of Alyx herself and Russel, a scientist who Alex remains in constant communication with throughout the game. Their relationship feels genuine, the conversations between them are enjoyable, and almost all of the intended comedic moments land perfectly, which is something most video games seem to have trouble with.
