Forgotten Gods is a very good addon to an equally good Hack & Slay with that certain something, but nothing more. After all, who - like me - only wants to play through once, comes here still at his expense.

For the creators of TQ I was expecting so much more and GD was a bland game in preview and mostly still is. It is just standard ARPG fair. In a nod to Path of Exiles the skill/devotion stuff is just ridiculously complex and the crafting is just out of control. Having 50+ different crafting components is just a disorganized mess.

I played Forgotten Gods just to finish up the DLCs and I have to admit this was the best of the bunch. The story is standard fair but it is an entirely new area and it just feels more fun. Overall I think it is worth the price. Nothing particularly new here but it just seemed better organized and tight.
