Oct 8, 2019GRID replicates the feeling of motorsport without sacrificing any of the excitement, and it’s the most racing fun I’ve had in ages.
-
Oct 28, 2019If you are a fan of racing games or the GRID franchise, this would be a great addition to your library!
-
PC GamesOct 12, 2019Grid, the soft reboot of the brand, is like the original game a fun arcade racer with a few easy-to-use simulation approaches. The circumference is minimal, but on track Grid is very convincing and challenging.
-
Oct 8, 2019Grid is way too lean on tracks but delivers its hyperbolic brand of Hollywood-style racing with style and confidence.
-
Oct 8, 2019GRID brings back the series with great success, showcasing a flexibility rarely seen in racing games that caters for everyone with little compromise.
-
Game World Navigator MagazineJan 14, 2020It’s disheartening to see that Codemasters wasn’t even trying. On its own, new Grid is an okay arcade racing game, but it’s hard to ignore that the previous one was far better. [Issue#242, p.56]
-
Oct 15, 2019Maintaining all the trademarks that distinguished it from other arcade racers, Grid has returned boasting driving just as engaging as before. Limits are reached in some core areas of gameplay such as though such as the number of locations, and the formula may prove stale for those looking for a road less traveled.
-
Oct 9, 2019Grid does not go beyond its "solid" status.
-
Oct 21, 2019GRID, as it stands then, is Codemasters delivering what it does best, exciting and superb racing that anyone can pickup and play, but spoiled by shortcomings to its content and online.
-
Oct 15, 2019Taken on its own merit, GRID is a fantastic audiovisual experience, a decent racing game, and a barebones package. It’s the epitome of just enough, but enough is the optimal word here. Here’s hoping the next GRID can kick on bigger, better, and more ambitious things.
-
Oct 16, 2019Invigorating arcade racing let down by lightweight multiplayer and campaign modes.
-
Oct 14, 2019GRID is an average racing reboot with no real personality. Despite the short races, strong AI, two new street tracks, and the shift towards arcade, it struggles because of so many recycled tracks, poor damage modeling, and disappointing multiplayer.
-
Oct 25, 2019There’s truly a decent game here with its foundational systems that could be developed into a more well-rounded title. But as it stands this is a £45 game, it is neither fair nor warranted that this game is just okay. Codemaster’s had already promised ahead of its release that Grid (2019) would be receiving a bevy of further racetracks, cars and modes for its player base. Yet with a dwindling interest, this seems too little too late.
