-
The gaming is tense, the firefights exciting, and the price reasonable, but poor mission design and dated camera controls sink the game into the upper echelons of mediocrity.
-
Not an overly complex program. It is fast-paced, and action packed. The game does have a few setbacks, but overall is a solid combat sim.
-
"Myth" fans may enjoy the novelty of new solo missions and multiplayer maps that add a good number of new units, but veterans in the community could likely name a number of free mods that match the quality of Green Berets on a smaller scale.
-
Lacks the sort of innovation or fine polish to make something really fresh or engaging, and it suffers some of "Myth II"'s inherent flaws.
-
I just want to go home at this point so I can get the chance to wash the taste of Green Berets from my brain. Lackluster AI, along with game mechanics that just don't work with this engine combine to make a game that I just didn't really care about.
-
It features a rag-tag special forces group of misfits in Vietnam, rather than the rag-tag fantasy misfits the game was built for, and as a result, Green Berets doesn't stand well on its own.
-
After just a few of the 10 missions, it becomes painfully evident that the Myth II engine was simply not designed for the task of modeling modern combat.
