    Three great games without a doubt, but poorly optimized, many bugs that do not allow me to enjoy them, it is a shame that this happens with emblematic games known for their great quality.

    Do you really want to see reviews of this dumpster fire before buying it? the game is of horrible quality, essentially a mod that ports the old games into unreal engine with very few tweaks that barely improve the experience. Please don't waste 60 euros in this dogsh#t.

    I feel like playing an alpha version. I wonder whether it was even tested before release.

    Now having a game-breaking bug in Vice city Mission #46 - Gun Runner. (Crates just hover and can't be destroyed) Endless amount of bugs like: -Performance problems (I have 2080 Super GPU, and for this old game shouldn't be a problem) -Framerate issues after closing the map or replaying a    I feel like playing an alpha version.     Overall, I was waiting for some proper improvements. Mafia Definite edition set a bar for what many people expect from a "definite edition". I must say this was the most half-baked game I've ever played.    … Expand

    The game is not finished. There is a lot of bugs. Sometimes while driving you'll find invisible wall in the middle of the road, sometimes in cutscenes you'll get hit by a car, there are places you'll fall under the map, bad collision with fences, hard framerate drops. And this is what million dollar company gives us?

    Don't you even dare buying this game. Bugs, glitches, horrible gameplay. Better play the original, it's way better. Rockstar and grove street games did a horrible and poor job with this trilogy. Don't give them your money, save it for better things.

    This game is a buggy mess. The collision in this game is way off causing cars the fly further than they would in the original if crashed into. This make any wanted level a pain to deal with. Into of which this game has constant frame issues that make even the most simple driving difficult... do not buy this game stock with the og pc release

    Are more bugs in this trilogy than ALL the other GTA´s.
    I really don think we will see GTA 6 never if it continues...

    Had to re-sell the PS5 version and get the PC version as there are some mods already.
    Character Models have gone backwards. The rain is embarrassingly bad,
    Don't mind the original glitches, but too many new glitches added.
    Why is RockStar pulling down Mods, they should be paying the modders,
    Really hope they pull this and fix the trilogy.

    Ужасно просто ужасно за что я отдал такие деньги. Из за ужасной графики самолеты в небе просто левитировали и стояли. Почти все миссии багнутые. Ужасная игра хуже киберпанка. Разрабы вообще не старались и сделали все на отшибись. НЕ ПОКУПАЙТЕ ЭТОТ УЖАС. Самая ужасная игра и самый ужасный рематер от Рокстар, я в жизни такого не говорил, но Рокстаров уделала даже Юбисофт, даже тамУжасно просто ужасно за что я отдал такие деньги. Does this remaster do justice to the original? When it comes to keeping the original feel, they didn't even try. Is it acceptable that they've gotten rid of all the fog? Now the map resembles something out of Minecraft. What the **** is going on? Even in Grand Theft Auto 5, there's not that much draw-distance. A draw distance of this magnitude is unheard of in games, and even if it were, every game would have its share of fog-covered terrain. Nothing on a map should be visible to the naked eye. The immersion is ruined by this. Despite the fact that the map of San Andreas is not very tiny, it has been rendered uninspiring by the removal of any ambient noise. There is still no climbing or swimming in gta 3 and vice city. This is completely illogical. With two years of development time, you could've just replicated San Andrea's swimming/climbing animation and applied it to others like 3 and Vice City. Making horrible, uneven textures and copying the same Palm trees over and over again is all they can accomplish.… Expand

    3 old games fully ported to new engine with increased limits, a lot of improvements unlike ENB and other bugged graphic mods. Bugs exist, but these problems will be fixed. Maybe it's a chance to return VC and SA multiplayers, I spent all my childhood in GTA and SAMP with other players. Thanks for remaster!

    This has to be one of the WORST REMASTERS IN GAMING HISTORY. gta3 and vice city are fine, but I got stuck on gta san andreas all because the game keeps on crashing after I loaded up the game. WORST REMASTERS EVER KEEP IT UP ROCKSTAR

It's almost like Grove Street games went in everyday and did as little as they could and went home. Very basic features and stats missing, compounded by multiple glitches, graphical and texture errors this version is anything but definitive. It's obvious no love went into this remake.… Expand

    Except for the remaster GTA: SA that's quite good. Support for wide format, high resolution textures. Yes - the graphics are cartoonish, but it's still better than playing the original in 2021, which was problematic to launch on modern OS (win10/11) ... It is true that the price is too high, I will wait for the sale.

    This remaster is a joke and just a cash grab. Doing the bare minimum and stíl made a 20 year old game worse on modern consolse. The fact they hid the gameplay before launch and took down the old versions to charge full price was two fingers to consumers.

    When I played the game that was some of the worst things I ever seen, I used to love gta vice city and I already played much graphics mods and now I can't for ur game that is actually Brocken and with worst graphics than mods I mean if u where do a remaster of this games pls look at what studio will do the game first

    El juego esta ROTO ! , Un juego con multiples Bugs , es como si nisiquiera lo hubieran probado al menos un rato ! Se pasaron cosas super basicas que con 30 minutos de gameplay te dabas cuenta que el juego no estaba ni de serca para poder salir a la venta... y ojo por 60 Usd

There is no excuse for the trilogy being released in this state besides meeting some quarterly sales goal for investors.     This trilogy does not deserve to be called a "definitive". The quality of these games is terrible, they are inconvenient to play, they look bad, they slow down on my 3070 Ti, i7 10700K and 32 Gb RAM.

    Game is really awesame, i dont get thoose people who are telling the game sucks, have bugs etc, in my case i had a few bugs, but that was only little bugs and doesnt ruin my game, and my self i dont care about 40 or 60 FPS its look same to me. Its sad, because a lot of youtubers saying the game have bugs, and most people believing them, what they said because they are youtubers.     I hate to say this, but 2 Kids with a mod tool can do better than this big company.
    Played the game and it looks the same as before,
    I rate you to buy for 60$ the mods and the old game.
    With the mods it looks more like a remaster than this.

    I just can't play it with with F****ING auto-centering camera when walking or driving. Terrible rain effects, draw distance (You can see mount chilliad from groove street wtf). pleny of bugs and glitches. I've done 12-level paramedic missions, and I STUCK on last level (marker at the hospital didn't shown, when I had last passangers to complete).     the games could be better remastered, for example the characters, some look worse than in the original trilogy, and some passionate modders did the job much better

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is a spit in the face of original fans, new fans, and fans of all walks. Obviously you cannot get too mad at Wardrum Studios/Grove Street Games, they probably got 0 budget, 0 time to work on the game, 0 help, etc. BUT OMG.
    I think its safe to say most of us just wanted the old games with a fresh coat of paint; a few touchups, bug fixes, and a little more modern controls. What'd we get? A game with laughably disgusting character models, MORE BUGS THAN THE ORIGINALS, and more than anything, inconsistency between the 3 titles.
    San Andreas targeting: Locks on like no tomorrow, does not care who you were aiming at or going to aim at.
    VC and GTA III targeting: meh
    The bugs are the biggest joke. As of the time of this review, the mission Gun Runner on GTA VC is currently unbeatable without mods and 3rd party fixes. Keep in mind, this is after the 2-3 days of this being off the market and an entire patch.
    Cars flip a lot easier, which leads to them blowing up (which was sped up as well and does not have any consistency)... why? who knows. They messed with models and physics but didnt account for how the game was originally supposed to be played and built. Cars that would do a U-Turn at 60mph with no issue now have the turn radius of a semi-truck, and I'm not even kidding, the turn radius' on cars have been increased so badly within these physics changes its a joke.
    There are even videos online of people flying through the air for 2 seconds and blowing up because the game thought "no wheels on ground=car flipped=explode".
    Then you have weapons like the rifles in Vice City that still have to do stationary manual targeting, which begs the question. WHY EVEN CHANGE THE TARGETING??

    Positives don't outweigh the negatives in this case, but there are undoubtedly improvements.
    For example, some of the character models DO LOOK BETTER. some...
    The weapon wheel was an amazing improvement that (when it doesn't bug) actually makes the gameplay a lot better.
    The lighting!!!!! OMG so much better.... in SOME CASES.. sometimes in dark areas you cannot even see characters when you squint, others, its so bright you can barely tell where you are. But every now and then, when you're driving, and that sunset hits, its just a nostalgic time.
    R* also makes about 5-8 million a day, so for them to NOT re-license the music is insulting. Okay, MJ songs and a few others I understand, but when you have 48 (i believe) songs taken out of a DEFINITIVE, REMASTERED EDITION, thats insulting.

    R* saw this as a cash grab to pass the time and pay the bills (aka fill pockets) while they work on the next major release, which we still haven't seen anything about....    … Expand

    A poor effort, It's what I'd expect from Rockstar but regardless is still disappointing. These games paved the way for Rockstar's success and to see that Rockstar have failed to adequately remaster them just shows how capitalism has affected U.S. corporations and the quality of those things they produce.

    this edition is basically all the gta's with graphic mods.
    good work rockstar, you created the 2021 cyberpunk.

    I did my best to love this trilogy honestly. These games are what made my childhood so great. The nostalgia is the most intense I've ever had playing any game whatsoever and that is why it hurts so much to see how they did my childhood memories so fckn dirty. The overall image of the games (only played vice city and San andreas btw) can look beautiful at times (although I believe this game deserved more) but once you start paying attention to the DETAILS, you realize that in many ways the game got worse. From npc models to weird character animations that weren't in the original game, iconic songs being taken out, the wrong text on billboards and the donut store (idek who decided that was a good idea), and much more. Even with all these things being in the game or lacking thereof, I tried my best to spend time playing it and loving the games. But then the bugs came. And oh lord were they rough. I'm not going to list off all of them but I'll mention the one that made me write this review. In San Andreas there is a mission (betrayal) and when I was playing it i was driving to the location under the bridge (in my memory this was a very climactic moment in the early part of the story) and when I reached the cutscene the audio was MISSING and it ruined the whole mood for me. Cmon guys... these games are legendary... they are games that made Rockstar as a company so respected amongst the gaming community. Seeing them do such a dishonor to their own legacy is what truly makes the dagger feel that much deeper. I would like to give this game a 5 or a 4 but due to this game being a masterpiece from 17 years ago that most games don't even come close to these days makes me give this remaster a goddamn ZERO. Rockstar lost most of my respect with gta online, and sadly this trilogy... was the final nail in the coffin.… Expand

    Rockstar dropped the ball on this remaster. The cars and other moving models look like plastic toys and the cities look like polished excrement. The contrast between the environment and the models is horrible and the list of bugs is long and obnoxious. Quality of life changes are the only redeeming part of this remaster that does no favours for fans or newcomers. Skip it until they either fix it or let the moders do their job.

    I cannot currently recommend Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition on the PC, and a lot has to happen until I do. The truth is that I've had a decent amount of fun with this remaster; part of it is based on nostalgia, and part of it is based on some ridiculous, unavoidable bugs that weren't as frequent as I'd feared. Given all of these issues and the abysmal performance of the three games on the PC, I'd stay away from the trilogy until several major updates have been released. Even then, this remaster may not be for everyone.

    Overall, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was set up to be one of the best things for GTA fans and it failed to hit that mark. It will now be remembered as a failure to launch title but I am sure Rockstar will step in and continue to fix some items within their game world.
