    If you have the possibility to play the original games, play them. It's a waste of money, there are so many bugs. The one point just of nostalgy reasons. All you had to do was making a good remaster, Rockstar!

    Honestly the only good thing about this trilogy is some of the textures look a bit better. But the bad things feels endless. The longer I play the more things I find. Rockstar claims they are working to fix these issues but I haven't seen any improvements since its release. This game is literally just a way to scam people out their money. Little to no effort was put into making this product good.
    The part I hate most about this game isn't even the game itself. They removed peoples mods that they worked harder to make than what rockstar did making this trilogy. They also removed the original games so people are forced to buy this over priced junk. You cant even buy the individual games! So if you only wanted to buy 1 of them, you have to buy all 3. Another way in rinsing you for more cash, charging you for something you're probably never gonna use. After Rockstar pulled this stunt I actually despise the company and I hope someone buys them out so they can stop ripping off their customers.
    This trilogy was not play tested at all. As long as it started up then it hit the shelves. I miss the days when devs would hand their game out to a few people so they could give them feedback. That way a we would get a working game. I stopped pre ordering games so I could read reviews on the product. I played this through PS Now and gamepass. If I paid for it I would have demanded a refund. I have not tested vice city but I can imagine the same issues are there if they are in both III and SA.

    Anyway here is some of the bad things I have found. (These are problems with all 3 games unless said otherwise)
    You can only change weapon using 1 button or you can hold it down to bring up a GTA V style weapon wheel. If you were like me and switched back and forth to reload then you're out of luck.
    Some of the textures haven't been updated making them look stupid.
    Character modals look stupid. This badly shows in San Andreas where its people with a darker skin colour. They look kind of red aswell.
    The gun play is this game sucks. Switching between targets is no longer instant but instead you have to hold the analog left or right for about 2 seconds before it switches to the next target.
    The aiming target stays green rather than corresponding to the health of the NPC.
    The game is based from the mobile version so its way easier than the original games.
    Certain textures have been resized like leafs and stuff. Because of this they now overlap in certain areas so you'll have loads of leaves randomly floating off the side of a hill.
    There is no longer fog. This is definitely 1 of the worst issues. You can now look into the distance and see the games render distance and stuff.
    The audio files are a really low quality, likely ripped from the original games. So you have a HD game with what sounds like 100kbps audio files.
    Not sure if its just me but GTA III at night is way to dark. I turned the brightness up and then during the day time its way to bright.
    No longer does stuff blow in the wind making the game feel more bland. (In the original games you would have trash and leafs blowing around)
    The game is extremely over priced. Its $50 when it should be $30 for all 3 or $15 each.

    I just don't understand how you can remaster a game and make it have less features and play worse than the original games? The worst part is that they aren't even working to improve it and make it just as good. You could have a better experience by paying for the original game on PC (Don't worry it should run or more or less any PC that can run windows 10).
    Use the GTA SA downgrade tool. This will allow any mods to work. If you have the disc version you will no longer need a disc inserted either.
    Then install the texture update mods. I am sure people would have reuploaded them after the scum bags known as rockstar removed them. With the texture mods you will have a game that looks better and plays better than this pathetic excuse for a game. This is an insult to the original games and its an insult to those who paid for it. There needs a be laws on what qualifies as a finished product in order to charge for it. This definitely is not what I call finished.    … Expand

    Do not buy this game, I repeat: Do NOT buy this game. It is a shame to see that greed for money in its purest form led to such a shameful product, staining the formerly good reputation of Rockstar. One of the most hideous and absurd aspects about all this is that this product is called "The Definitive Edition". It should be taken off all stores immediately.

    spillet er mye bedre mye kontrast og sånt den mikro hakker avogtil og er bedre når alle kjernene er på og trådene med programm som cpucores prosesslasso. siktet sensen er bedre enn originalen den beveger seg fremdeles anderledes opp og ned når du kjører bil og til fots er den , normalt. den varierer i biler opp og ned enn til høyre venstre opp og ned er anderledes til tidermå dr5a mer opp og ned enn til høyre og venstre og andre tider er den normal mens høyre venstre er normal. og du må trykke inn skyteknappen for se, rundt bilen ellers setter den seg. tilbake til senter som saint row. . helt nostalgiske modeler ganske retro ser omtrent lik orginalen men mye bedre på en måte. veldig mørke rulletrapper inne i kjøpesenteret. ser ut som en slags bloom i alt men går kontrasten helt ned kan du se alt men det e kult med litt kontrast ga over 600 kroner og syns at musen burde være lik opp og ned og i orginalen var det kun dpi som kunne justeres.

    men orginalen var ubrekelig i widescreen og måtte ha skalere og vise 4:3 som 16:9 og sikte var anderledes i widesscreen og ubrukelig posisjon på hud. 3gta haddet vertfall grei mus etter justering. i orginalen i menyen. som vice city haddet problemer prøvd directx wrappere fra 8 til 9 for navigere i menyene og mods ditt og datt for kontrollere brukt tastatur og definitivbe versionen har bedre kontroll å fly som oppdrag i vice city og sånt. og syns revc var vanskelig for de skjøt meg ned med en gang og haddet ingen sjangs både i vc og 3. så vist du er lei gamle bugs og venter bedre version uten å fikse ditt og datt er nok definitive versionen bedre    … Expand

    All the bad to those effective managers and endlessly greedy leadership. There is no negativity towards the developers, they showed that they were crooked and untalented even when they were making a mobile port and did what the bosses wanted from them.
    But it was possible to make remakes on the GTA 5 engine, then finish the remasters in GTA online and swim in money for years to come ....

    Remember this is made by a billion-dollar company, graphics are horrible the facial expressions are gone what little there was. Some of the Cheat codes are gone, some of the music is gone.
    they didn't bother to use new sound effects, rain in this game look like a filter, character models look like crap.

    GTA Trilogy was always the favorite of GTA fans, but with GTA Trilogy The Definitive Edition, it seems like Rockstar Games just haven't paid enough attention to bugs and glitches, also many characters have not been taken good care of.     The games are good. Now they are getting new updates so it's good that Rockstar is listening to us. I played the games and there were bad at the start, now there are very good. They fixed some bugs and it's playable. Also, they delayed the physical version of the game to PS5. Which means they are doing something. Give it some time, then we will se what they did.

For example Liberty City does not look dark any more as it used to, as well as in gta 4. The worst are however character models which look terrible in all three games. And dont even get me started on the bugs and framerate issues. I can just keep telling everything that is so bad and downgraded… Expand

    The game is fine. It just is a buggy and unpolished version of three great games on my favorite console. The game's peds (especially GTA San Andreas) are ugly. They should just allow people to switch the models between the PS2 ones and the new ones (they did muh boy OG loc dirty). They should fix it to be playable

    Trylogia GTA "definitywna" jest definitywnie słaba. Dobrze, że tego nie kupiłem bo bym stracił z ponad 200 zł. Stara trylogia jest miliard razy lepsza od definitywnie słabej.

    I have played the game and encountered few bugs (and then slowly its goes to severe one below), some of them are from Reddit i seen before, but the thing is, its was somewhat harder than original, plus the fire effect is broken so you cant see it easily (sometime its appear in bottom of the car or sometime its doesnt appear) while driving a car which is about to explode, causing you to dies (oh and it's also feels like exploded faster aswell and you can see a crackling sound still there for few sec then finally disappear)

    Also, FPS is awful on my rig through, to be little bit fair, im playing this on a GTX 750Ti and a i5-2400, 8GB DDR3 1333MHz, with my custom config file and reshade to use FSR/DLSS-like shaders to smooth things up, i got 34-37FPS AVG with reshade, and 57FPS AVG without Reshade, with sometime drops to 8-20FPS during some streaming the map, or even going to Menu and Resume, which the cutscenes causing the textures to blurry and massively drop FPS, however, this same problem can be also happen on Switch version aswell, as the game itself has somewhat unoptimized and have lots of crashes.

    Update: The save corruption suffered since Patch 1.03, this means that this patch only makes games worse, visual problems are partially fixed however (rain fix and various spelling fix). This happen to me 2 times, one when i was about 51.7% complete, then the second playthrough was around Doberman mission.
    Many people on Reddit suffered from this same problems across all platform, down to 0/10 because its broken since this patch, making it unplayable.    … Expand

    Over 130 hours on all of three games. People are insane, keep listening others opinion which is just a hype now. Game is fine, Not perfect, but fine. I will never return to originals.

    I have so far only played the San Andreas DE. So my experiences are based on that and ultimately, I'm reflecting my experience there onto the whole package.

    I am seriously disappointed in this, as someone who pestered his parents for about 5 months to get San Andreas and spent thousands and thousands of hours on it well into my adult years hearing of a remaster was something I was eager    I have so far only played the San Andreas DE.     I am seriously disappointed in this, as someone who pestered his parents for about 5 months to get San Andreas and spent thousands and thousands of hours on it well into my adult years hearing of a remaster was something I was eager to see. Like many my mind raced of our beloved game re-done in the GTA V engine with the graphical upgrades and gameplay elements that game brought us. Instead..

    We got a goddamn port from the cellphone. What an absolute joke. This is simply unacceptable for a PC/Console game to be ported from a phone, especially from a rich company such as R*. While this game tickles my nostalgia bone I can't say I can immerse myself into the experience due to the constant, amateur-level graphical issues which plague this game, to list some:

    CJs tattoos being cut off by clothes
    CJs tattoos literally "floating" above his skin
    CJs tattoos being an odd shade of black which looks fake as all hell.
    Body parts having visible lines between head/neck, clothes, arms (etc)
    The world/buildings flashing in blue/red randomly, kind of as if police lights are going off but no cop car is around
    Weather will cause weird graphical errors
    Roads (especially east highway of Los Santos) having.. weird bumps in the road which are like ghostly/shadowy.
    Old graphical effects gone (Noting the "Speed blur" which I enjoyed personally)
    All the models looking like weird plastic toys, shiny as hell and badly done
    Any character talking (outside of main characters) is basically stretching their bottom lip.. Which looks weird.
    Pictures on walls are wrong from the originals, as well as being badly up-scaled.
    Textures in general are...horrid.. It comes to something when the community can just stick it through an AI up-scaler and do a better job.. Within a few days.
    The "graphical upgrades" are a meme, literally "Lets add fancy lighting effects and bloom".

    This is just from me playing 5 missions and getting all 100 tags. So let's say 3 to 4 hours of gameplay.

    I can only really think of 2, maybe 3 things I like from this remaster but those are so insignificant that it really doesn't make up for the shortcomings this is filled with. You'd really think that Rockstar might have pulled some of the ridiculous millions and billions they milked from us with GTAV/GTA:O to really put some effort into what was their crowning achievements, but they couldn't of given less of a damn if they tried. I would 100% recommend people do not buy this game and if you desperately wish to play go grab the original games and mod them, you'll get a much better experience.

    I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I fully believe Rockstar will just consider this abandonware within a year. They'd have to start again from the ground up for any real fan to be able to accept this.    … Expand

IT TAKES TWO runs at a rock-solid 4KK60 despite almost looking like a playable PIXAR movie, and this can't?!

    Oh and did I mention the bugs? There are more bugs than an insect museum, and these games are objectively, blatantly WORSE than the originals that came out around TWENTY YEARS AGO.

    Unplayable, I’m literally stuck on a mission where you have to fit 3 cars in a small garage then the garage doesn’t open anymore after you put the first car in but you can walk through it but the cars are still there so you end up damaging the car and have to constantly fix it but you literally can’t get in the garage and fail the mission constantly. F- on this beyond trash game.

    Nedoporučuji v žádném případě, vypadalo to velice slibně, ale bohužel.. Hodně bugů, postavy vypadají nepoveděně, grafické glitche, míň radio stanic, celkový pocit,prostě to zabíjí to staré dobré gta. Doporučuji si do starých her stáhnout pár módu budete mít tak 10x lepší výsledek než je remaster. Je mi toho doopravdy líto rockstar mé poprvé zklamal..

    Rockstar dropped the ball on this remaster. The cars and other moving models look like plastic toys and the cities look like polished excrement. The contrast between the environment and the models is horrible and the list of bugs is long and obnoxious. Quality of life changes are the only redeeming part of this remaster that does no favours for fans or newcomers. Skip it until they either fix it or let the moders do their job.

    I cannot currently recommend Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition on the PC, and a lot has to happen until I do. The truth is that I've had a decent amount of fun with this remaster; part of it is based on nostalgia, and part of it is based on some ridiculous, unavoidable bugs that weren't as frequent as I'd feared. Given all of these issues and the abysmal performance of the three games on the PC, I'd stay away from the trilogy until several major updates have been released. Even then, this remaster may not be for everyone.

    Overall, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was set up to be one of the best things for GTA fans and it failed to hit that mark. It will now be remembered as a failure to launch title but I am sure Rockstar will step in and continue to fix some items within their game world.
