It's a good Gatcha Game to play :
    +Interesting mecanics and characters gameplay
+Lot of Boss, chests and puzzles
+All 4 stars and 5 can be play and find a usefull on teams compositions

    But It's not perfect :
-Gatcha with a 50% lost the pitty, the worst part for F2P players
-Multiplayer are useless and not very usefull (only for help news players or rush boss)

despite the fact its basically p2p, the world is amazing.

The artstyle is done well, and the enviroments feel great, soundtrack is amazing, and extremely well made.

Monetization is eh, getting 5 star characters is practically impossible, but it isn't exactly necessary.
4 star characters can perform just as well as 5 stars as long as you invest the time to level them up.

The game is totally completable with the characters they give out for free (look up Enviosity). I agree that the resin system is **** but that's the only thing, no reason to give it a 0 or something like that...As for the rest of the game I'd say it's really great, especially considering that's it's free to play. It offers a story that's looking good, nice characters, beautiful world and graphics, good soundtracks, plenty to explore and challenges, which are renewed every two weeks. And events are added every week, with greater expansions coming once a month and a half. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Surprisingly fun and well built for a game that looks like a Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild (BotW) Clone. It definitely copies a lot of the style and mechanics and ideas of Breath of the Wild, but the gameplay and feel of the world is very different. especially when it comes to stats. The weapon system for one is actaully surprisngly similar to Destiny 2 (though I'm only a light Destiny 2 user).

I'm only a few hours into Genshin Impact game but so far I find it more engaging than BotW, and I think this is because although BotW was more intricately made with more attention to immersion and the beauty of it, this makes it quite slow at times, and the world is very plain in my opinion and you can travel for hours with little to do. and it doesnt help that the storyline is very simple and (though I havent fninished it I am many hours in) a lot of it is stuff that already happens in the pas, but the present is the same, unevolving situation and list of tasks to do with a few fetch/kill quests from npcs.

The graphics are pretty much on par with BotW, there is essentially no difference - some areas are niceer some are worse.

The world of Genshin has a lot of stuff going on [SPOILERS OF FIRST 10 MIN GAMEPLAY] such as people from other planets, abundant elemental magic, dragons, gods, knights, power hungry factions. It makes for a very dynamic and lively feeling world and I am actually excited to see where it goes. It is one of the few games that has made my curiosiy overcome my self control and make me wan to play much longer than I planned to because its actually interesting and makes you want to level up and explore the world and go on with the story.

The combat feels fun, which is difficult to pull off, but switching between characters (which is sometthing you can do pretty soon from the start) and their unique weapon types and abilities is actually prety fun. And trying to find good weapons and buff items and upgrade them adds a level of detail which is actaully really cool to play around wih, geting your favourite play style and more power. I actually enjoy combat in this game along with the weapon and buff system, none of which are easy o do at all, and in most other games I really dislike how nay of these are done, so I'm amazed to see it done so well here.

Genshin is a much more alive world than BoW, where npc interaction is much more rich and complex and entwrtwined with storyline rather than simple fetch/kill quests. What's also interesting is how levels are designed - during quests you are often lead to large dungeon-type areas which dont appear on the world map - this actually reminded me a lot of Destiny 2 level design and the versatility was quite interesting and exciting, since you're discovering new things instead of exploring the same areas on the map.

Unfortunately is basically devoid of online multiplayer until you reach adventure level 16, which I havent done yet but I am curious how that will be.

Also, it is annoying how much content is lifted from BotW. There are just a lot of things you see pop up tha clone it almost exactly, like [SPOILERS FIRST 10 MINS GAMEPLAY] basically bokoblins exactly as hey arer implemented in BotW but they just look differen (they arer by far the most common enemy, there are camps of them often, you can unlock chests by defeaing them...) and you ge gliders and climbing and you drown if you run out oif stamina while swimming... That said, while way too much copies game mechanics from BotW, how the game actaully plays out feels very very different. It is much more action packed and plot driven and the combat is much more complex (but thank goodness wepons dont take damage like they do in BotW forcing you to always hunt out new ones or be stuck with clubs).

There are also a few bugs at the moment like npc mouths stop moving while halfway through talking and dialogue accidentally being repeated in the wrong place. Also you can change the controls layout for key board or controllers even though apparantly some dialogue says you can change those settings. It also isn't erribly well optimised. I am running an intel 4770 RTX 2070 12GB RAM running a 1080p and in places my FPS dips into the 40s - even Horizon zero dawn almost never does that.

Some design choices are also odd like, even on PC the FPS is limited to 60, theer are almost no HUD options (so you can hide useless stuff that takes up space on the screen), you cant fullscreen on other resolutions than 1080p (on a 1080p screen or below),

Also this is more preference but to me the voice acting and the choice of words is often really cheesy.

That said, it is genuinely one of the few games that has me actaully _excited_ to play more of it to see what happens. Especially because it's a free to play, I can highly recommend you try it. Although if your a PC user the download is very long right now because of high demand and bad servers. Its only 12 GB download, but downloads as 0.5

Genshin Impact deserves the title of becoming a pseudo-AAA that is free to play. You can say thatit counts that include a very in-depth storyline plus a colorful ensemble of characters that each display their own uniqueness in their position in the game.

The game itself as a gacha action-RPG is almost certainly a nod to MiHoYo's former works as they represent similar mechanics but their first attempt in the world of RPG is simply surprising. The simple yet deep battle mechanics that lies in the game is a fun and customizable feat and evolves on the certain armor and accessories. Its implementation on elements is quite different as they create reactions which add more to the certain double damage.

The thing to take note about this game is its constant progression however as you level up farther into the game, the more difficult and troubling levelling up becomes as the best weapons and characters are trapped behind the money-reliant gacha system of Genshin. The game makes it hard for people who have explored the area fully to acquire Primogems, the game's premium currency, and also costly as a roll costs at 160 of the gems and you could get at an average 65 Primogems per day which can get too far.

The game's most controversial element would be its resin system as it restricts players more to enjoy the game as many of Teyvat's challenges require a somehow heavy amount of Resin which can bring trouble much for dedicated players compared to the F2P players. Another problem would be its sad probability rates as not everyone can get a 5-star at most rolls and players can certainly leave the game out of the whim just because of it so those are one of the major issues that needs resolving.

Though locked behind a very obvious paywall due to its jarring gacha system and a somehow tedious grinding process just to be able to experience more of the game, Genshin Impact strives with an impact, no pun intended, as to becoming one of 2020's numerous surprises.

Beyond that, the animations are beautiful. Some of the English voice work is spectacular and is pretty engaging. There is a "Pay-2-get better" system much like Warframe, and I would advise not spending any money towards the loot boxes aka Wishs here. You can buy them with in-game currency. Overall Great game, would recommend playing.

For the record im AR 32 atm and downloaded it about 5 days ago.

Really nice for a free game, although gacha would lure you to spend hundreds or thousand dollars on it, the game itself is still playable, not to mention it is also giving players gems occasionally, not only through email but also through events. Players also got at least 50 pulls for free when they reaches level 10.

Currently, I'm AR 24, and I have one 5*character for around 40 pulls in total. That is not bad considering that I haven't hit the pity yet; however, it still takes an incredibly long time to save up enough intertwined fates, especially with the lack of resin. In addition to that, I feel quite bad for saying this, but I feel like MiHoYo is kind of greedy. They should make the f2p experience a little better. For example, give us at least 100+ primos for logging in --keep in mind 1 pull is 160 primos so it seems reasonable for the company, they should also fix the resin problem (not by making the cap bigger but by making the resin generation faster) so that we f2p people have more chances to get better artifacts and more primos from bosses. All in all, although it has it's problems, it's still an AMAZING game and I recommend you try it! Expand

There is a tricks that you can combines the elements and get more stronger attack. The story quest and dialogue are interesting but also the weakest parts, the story conversation is completely okay to skip it, it ‘s so long and I surely that most of player also skip it. In some quest that have to find something, it’s hard to find them but it’s still say that it’s on this area, I take long time to find it. The ingredients and equipment is hard to find to make the food or level of the characters and weapon because they are in different area and this game and the map is so big, perhaps you not only to just pick the ingredient in the way but also have to kill the animal such as to get a meat, fish and chicken. In the high level, it hard to defeat the monster if you don’t have high star weapon and characters and can’t go to the next quest because you can’t pass the before quest with low stars. I downloaded Genshin Impact on my phone and really enjoyed the first few hours. The game didn't feel like a ripoff to me, it felt like a love letter to the Zelda franchise. The OST is perfect, the graphics are stunning, and the character designs blow me away. The amount of work that goes into each character's outfit, idle animations, and lore is incredible.
Despite that, Genshin still has big problems. I don't really mind the resin system but I understand it limits a lot of gameplay. The Gacha aspect turns away a lot of potential fans and can be detrimental for some individuals. That is to say, Gacha is not integral to the gameplay. The four or five free characters you get are really good if you build them right(Kaeya is a god). Another issue is the repetitive nature of the missions. I get tired of sweeping leaves for Albert and mopping up some kid's boat but you have to keep in mind that the game hasn't finished yet. It probably won't finish for years to come. Plus, I used to be an avid Red Dead Online player so I'm used to participating in repetitive missions and menial tasks for a sliver of cash.
I feel like it is important to add that I have spent money on the Gacha system. I have spent $25 in total. $15 for Xiao on his last day and $10 in the months since for the Welkin Moon Blessing. I didn't get Xiao if you were wondering. It is really easy to drop $300 in 3 minutes for even the prospect of getting Diluc and hackers are a big problem. Mihoyo seems more invested in closeting leaks than fixing bigger issues.
I really like Genshin Impact so my review is going to be very biased. Please take my words with a grain of salt. If you hate this title with as much passion as I did when it first released, just try it. If you still hate it, then that's ok.

Kinda a nitpick: (1)I saw a review that said they paid full price for this game and complained about the Gacha system. Genshin is free. (2)A game cannot have the potential to be labeled as "AAA" because that term is defined as follows, "AAA is an informal classification used for video games produced and distributed by a mid-sized or major publisher..." By this definition, Genshin Impact is a AAA title. I just saw some misinformation and wanted to correct it. I doubt any person would actually believe the false info but I still wanted to clarify.

okay, i noticed if you go on the bad reviews, all of them talk about the resin wall. yeah sometimes it can be a problem, but it replenishes over time so you may have to wait a few hours between playing. also, you can get fragile resin for free just by playing, so you can replenish it yourself. my only advice is to not rush through the game, then complain that there’s nothing to do. youokay, i noticed if you go on the bad reviews, all of them talk about the resin wall. yeah sometimes it can be a problem, but it replenishes over time so you may have to wait a few hours between playing. also, you can get fragile resin for free just by playing, so you can replenish it yourself. my only advice is to not rush through the game, then complain that there’s nothing to do. you don’t need any fancy character’s to win the game and if you want a character, just save up wishes. you don’t have to pay to unlock everything. before anyone asks, i’m AR 41 Expand

Yes, it is not that good, if you never played such game (like i say, most japanese MMOs, all korean MMOs, and almost every single mobile games). In fact compared to other mobil games ( just remember, its in fact a mobil game with cross play function), the small pitty for 90 draws, where you get a random 5 star garantieed, and according to the survy, most people will reach this pitty between 70-80th draw.

Alright even 70-80 sounds terrible right? that means you need about 200 bucks for a random 5 star (50% to be the pick up one), or 400 bucks for the pick up one if you had bad luck. But lets think about the free crystals you can get. Approximatly you get about 6000 crystals each version, and genshin updates every 40 days (its basically 2 banners, each for 20 days). So without paying anything, you get 6k crystals every 40 days as long as you just spend about 10min each day for dailies, and doing all campains ( either 4-7 hours for the whole champain, or about 30min everyday during champain). In addition to it, you get about 10k crystals each major area, where you have 3 currently plus 1 time limited and only gives about 2k. So lets say, join the game play the first month and paying nothing will give you about 36k crystals, which is more than 220 draws. If you willing to pay a little bit for it, get the monthly subscription which costs 5 bucks every 30 days, grant you 100 crystal every day and 300 genesis crystal (the currency where you can only get buy paying real money, used to exchange 1:1 to crystal or buy some packages/skin from cash shop), even more you can get a battle pass for each version, which costs you extra 10 bucks and gives you 5 draws (800 crystal) for time limited banner and 5 for normal as well as 680 crystals and tons of resources. So paying about 15 bucks you can get almost a pitty every month considering the 5 monthly free draws from shop and most people get thier pitty between 70-80.

So what do you get from gacha? Either Powerful and/or cute/sexy waifus. But the game is completely playable even you dont draw a single charactor (there are people doing this way as challenge), you just need some player skills and spend a bit more time when fighting boss.

And those complaining about "Pay to play daily", they meaning the rensin system, oh yes, you get about 180 rensin regen for each day, those daily activities costs you either 20 or 40 each time when you want to claim the prize. And you can spend up to 900 crystals every day for 300 extra rensin, if you whale it, bringing you tons of more trash relics and about 300 extra exp, which means almost nothing if you plan to play long with it (since the game is softly capped after lv55, and even not spending a single coin on it, you get at least 50 moons from main quests result in 3k extra rensin, and you can hit lv55 within 3 month buy just doing the daily and use your daily 180 rensin). So in some way, it is pay to play long, but even if you whale, you cant play it the whole day.

And just to make it sure, its neither an MMO or a Diablo-Like game, which keeps you on endlessly. Even those 3As, which also turn out to have nothing to do for the most people after the first 100 - 150 hour game play. As its an PvE game without super hard dungeons, its just fine to not have all the charactors. ( i mean, you want to play an awesome game, but dont want to pay for it, and you want to have everything? games are not charity i mean. f2p means you have to gave up some game experience)

The game has beautiful graphics, beautiful characters and a good story. But I don't see the respect for the player from the publisher Mihoyo.

I feel like every single bad review is focused on the same SINGLE aspect of the game. And it is called "Constellation/Refine". To explain to whoever is thinking of playing this game, there are quite a few "parallel power systems" on the game. A weapon, for instance, has its level (and upgrading is totally free, requires no real money) and a "Refine level" (which u upgrade by sacrificing a duplicate of the weapon. The only way to get reliable duplicates is through loot boxes). The same goes for characters (though they have more parallel power systems). But here is the caught: you DO NOT NEED max Refine level to play even the hardest part of the game. It is not required. So I have to explicitly point out that this is a F2P game and if your desire to min/max is so strong, then pay the ridiculous amount of money to min/max ALL characters (again NOT NEEDED). It feels unfair to give a 0 or 1 based on constellation/refine. I do agree that it is frustrating to not be able to have character X or Y due to in-game currency being locked out (but, again, it is a F2P game). Regarding "energy" limit, people seem to think time-gate is bad... I think a bit of it (not saying Genshin has the perfect amount) is GREAT... cause it keeps people from grinding the game and finishing it in 24hrs.

Genshin can be played in different ways. You can grind and max out chars to see big dmg numbers, you can spend hours exploring (like Skyrim, which costs money btw), you can dive deep into intricate lore with meaningful side quests (like MMOs, again... money). You can casually play and slowly build up a good team FOR FREE while exploring the current patch/zone (in a seasonal manner, much like PoE). This game is GOOD and can be played casually. Don't let min/max culture keep you away from trying the game.

Regarding the grind aspect, Genshin was designed so that you could spend a lot of time on it (much like WoW, FF14, MOBAs) and it is something to consider if you want to farm some types of in-game currency. But I play it like PoE, a seasonal think. The third MAIN zone has just been out and there is more than 100 hours of game (basic exploration, main quest, and side characters story quest) to be done. So, I'll again just make it clear:

You don't f****** need ALL legendary characters to get AND/OR max constellation/refine on itens to play this game. It is mostly single-player. Nobody, but you, will see how much dmg you do.

Nobody cares. You should just care to see if you can beat the challenge. And, nowadays, it is GOOD that some challenges take time. People want to buy a game and beat it as fast as possible to jump to another game. Just be chill/casual and juggle between a few games. Genshin can be one of those games for the price of 0 dollars.

    8/10
-1 cause I also dont like gacha systems (but at least this one has a scalling odds subsystem)
-1 cause they are yet to re-release a character through loot boxes (its dumb and new players, currently, 0 chances of getting "old" characters)

Rather than a typical online game, Genshin Impact resembles a traditional single-player jRPG with a real-time combat. For a free-to-play title it is very impressive, but turns out to be pretty derivative and quickly slumps into monotony. [13/2020, p.52]

Oh, the joy of exploring this beautiful world. Oh, the clever combat, the great voice acting, the compelling story. This is one of the best RPGs of the year. And it’s almost beyond comprehension that you can get it for free.

Overall, in spite of things that should bring Genshin Impact down, the game is so much fun to play that the negatives are ultimately minor gripes. [...] The gameplay is smooth and simplistic, and it works great on all platforms - though I’m still not sure why the PlayStation version can’t be linked to a Mihoyo account so I could play on my phone when I’m not at home (PS Vita version please??) but it’s a small gripe to an otherwise terrific game.
