    Final Fantasy XV is one of the most memorable and incredible action jrpg ever made.
    The world, the music, and the the story are so powerful that I can only crying when I'm thinking about the emotional ending of this game.

    This game really cool and very VERY beautiful. When I saw how 4 friends communicate and develop, I feel good atmosphere. The end make me a cry.

    Beautiful soundtrack, great graphics (if your pc can handle it, get the 4k texture pack even with lower resolution monitors), emotional and powerful story (thankfully, only contains minimal anime-trope stuff unlike other entries in the series). This game gets a lot of criticism for key parts of the story being in different media formats like the anime and movie.     Final Fantasy XV is surely the best openworld game I've played on my PC in a long time.
    (and I've played a lot of openworld games, like Horizon Zero Dawn, Red Dead Redemption 2, GTAV, TW3, ecc..)
    And I think that Final Fantasy XV is the most fun, and definitely original, openworld game among these. FFXV is a MASTERPIECE of the openworld games genre. An original experience with fun    Final Fantasy XV is surely the best openworld game I've played on my PC in a long time.
    (and I've played a lot of openworld games, like Horizon Zero Dawn, Red Dead Redemption 2, GTAV, TW3, ecc..)
    And I think that Final Fantasy XV is the most fun, and definitely original, openworld game among these.
    FFXV is a MASTERPIECE of the openworld games genre.
    An original experience with fun ideas that makes of this surprising big game a true gem.

    Moving from the epic Kingslaive movie, to the Brothrthood anime, to the main game and its DLCs, Final Fantasy XV is a truly unique work and at the same time beautiful in the way it was made.

    The game offers:

    - a wonderful open world, full of monsters, beautiful dungeons, secrets, weapons, and Lore, all to be discovered.

    - cute and fun minigames, such as fishing and pinball and Chocobo racing

    - mounts, such as the iconic Chocobo, and the Regalia with all the music from previous FF games

    - a fully action JRPG combat system.
    Dynamic, fast, functional and fun.

    - a simple story, but a very beautiful one.
    With one of the best endings I've ever seen.

    - one of the best Villains of the FF series, Ardyn

    - an Epic Lore

    - of the exceptional Summon

    - a wonderful OST

    - and so on

    For all these reasons I strongly advise you to give this incredible and immense game a chance, because it is not just a game but a wonderful and original life experience.    … Expand

The graphics are incredible, and the plot slowly engages you in a roadtrip full of surprises and wonders to discover. I particularly liked the amazing monster    Final Fantasy XV is a special game.

    Final Fantasy XV is, completely, a journey between friends. And from this point of view, the game is very good.     I found Final Fantasy XV a wonderful experience.
    (comparable to Final Fantasy IX)
    It is a game that brings together the strong emotions of a trip with your friends, exposing them in a spectacular and exciting way. The gameplay is very rich, fun, and very varied, also thanks to the different fighting styles used by the 4 protagonists. Exceptional Summons, wonderful Lore, and    I found Final Fantasy XV a wonderful experience.

    I'm not usually give the highest score but need to balance these selfish low points. Honestly, this game is a masterpiece with it's "Lore, Soundtracks, Gameplay and Movie". I know game itself make us feel a bit depressive but what reality make us to feel and this game is exactly success it! There is not always everything must have happiness.

    FFXV on PC is truly on another level compared to even the ONEX version, the game looks outstanding and it's possibly the best looking game on the market right now.

    The OST is outstanding a huge score that makes the game feel more epic than it actually is.

    In general terms this is a worthy FF not close to the likes of FFVI, VII or even X, but not that far either, most of the people who give pretty bad reviews are nostalf*gs that decided to stay in the 90's to me this game is a solid 8.5 on PC and an 8 on consoles.    … Expand

    Definitely the magnum opus of the FFXV Universe. Compared to the console counterparts, especially XBOX ONE, this game looks lush and fluid and actually loads fast. It's understandable that people have the issues they have with the game, but the developers have been honest and upfront with improvements and I admire that. Maybe, FFXV isn't perfect, but if you are going to play this game thisDefinitely the magnum opus of the FFXV Universe.     The best version of FFXV, 60FPS max settings looks amazing. The addition of all the DLC and QoL updates in this make everything a much better experience than it was at launch. If you have a beefy PC then FFXV will shine even more so on your rig.

    Here's the thing.... I've already played this on PS4. TWICE. One time I ran it through quickly, the next I really took my time.

    What the PC version does a great job at is the same thing it does well with any other good port: it runs it at wonderful graphics without dropping FPS..... for the most part (there are slight moments, here and there, but so.. so few). What I was disappointed    Here's the thing.... I've already played this on PS4. TWICE. One time I ran it through quickly, the next I really took my time.

    What the PC version does a great job at is the same thing it does well with any other good port: it runs it at wonderful graphics without dropping FPS..... for the most part (there are slight moments, here and there, but so.. so few).

    What I was disappointed about is how much work went into making sure the environments felt so smoothed out and detailed, that the characters so obviously lack the same detail (except for the hair and clothes). When the camera closes up on their faces... sure, there are pores - as with any other HD/4K game - but beyond that, the eyes look as dead as they do in the PS4 version. Except of course, that because everything else looks so great, the deadness of the eyes is now so much more obvious. This is one of the few things that bothered me, because so many conversations make use of "screen time" and you just want to see characters who feel alive... but nope... they look dead.

    Other things regarding the same issue has to do with the reworking they did on their skin... it causes blemishes or lines to look really odd because the textures themselves were not all completely reworked. It's so odd, what SE decided to do with this.

    That being said - WONDERFUL game, and an even greater joy to play with these incredible draw distances and detail... the sunlight now actually looks tropical, or desert-like, etc; it's crazy!    … Expand

    The story is rather simple and fragmentary, exactly like Zelda Breath of the Wild, but finding the patience to follow all the speech narrated in this very big multimedia project, I was struck and satisfied by the Lore made.

    The speech on gameplay and soundtrack is in itself very subjective.
    But I still found the gameplay fun and the soundtrack well made, and the overall quality remained very high for the more than 200 hours of gameplay I scored.

    So, if you are also looking for an openworld road-trip game with a beautiful and rich world to go on an adventure, then I can safely recommend you this FF15 at 100%.    … Expand

    It's like discovering one of the most enjoyable open world experience ever created in the entire videoludic medium.
    And when I've reached the end, I cannot contain myself from crying for the emotion of that wonderful ending.

    I loved this journey, with my chocobros.

    Since FF15 is a game with a very cool and actually amazing gameplay and a truly great atmosphere of a roadtrip game. I loved the characters and the mood of the whole experience. With an honorable mentions to the gorgeous OST and the spectacular graphics, especially for an openworld game.

    Multiple times Square Enix tries to make ibrid combact system for trying to please as many people as possible, but here in FF15 finally they menage to create a really cool full action gameplay and a good one with this game. In fact this Final Fantasy 15 rappresents the first full action mainline game of the franchise.

    And if you are looking for a cool openworld game with a great action gameplay, then you should definitely play this FF15.    … Expand

    ФФ 15 это воистину восхитительное и удивительное приключение, меньшего и сказать нельзя. Игра, своим великолепным сеттингом пусть и не уникально, но удивительно миксует в себе магию и технологические достижения, за одно это уже можно ставить 910.
    Музыка сделана очень достойно, я бы даже сказал круто.
    Визуально игра страдает, но это проблема консолей, а не игры. На ПК я думаю игра будет выглядеть просто великолепно.
    Сюжет в конце слегка разочаровывающий, но очень сильный и стройный, вначале позволяющий нерасторопно исследовать мир, а потом начиная адский круговорот событий, которые захватывают игрока настолько сильно, что оторваться почти невозможно.
    Боевая система на данный момент одна из лучший. Наравне с ней только новый Ассасин Ориджинс. Дерьмак 3 рядом со своими бесполезными комбо даже рядом не стоял.
    Отдельно нужно вывести эпичность этой игры в плане призыва богов, эти сцены прям играют на струнах души. У меня все. 1010    … Expand

    Quand je suis arrivé avec une approche prudente pour jouer à ce jeu, je ne m'attendais pas à être confronté à un jeu de qualités aussi incroyables.

    A must play for every one and not just hardcore FF players! This game shows all the elements of the new era but at the same time it’s still our dear old Final Fantasy. Heavily recommended.

По мере прохождения я все больше и больше влюблялся в эту игру. Постепенно я начал СОПЕРЕЖИВАТЬ ПОЧТИ ВСЕМ ПЕРСОНАЖАМ. В конце игры испытал уйму эмоций.     This game gets a lot of hate but I feel it's unjustified. It's a large open world with incredible views. The story is fragmented and the difficulty isn't there. However, it does redeem itself. The main group of characters is charming and it's a visual spectacle. This one will be with me for a long time.

    I highly recommend playing it. Just get it on sale.

I honestly didn't enjoy the open world aspect, while the world building is incredible, there's not enough quality content in it, the driving mechanics are questionable, gameplay is braindead easy, and side quests are generic, but the very charming cast of characters kept me intrigued. The story starts fine but gets uninteresting after the first hour, it feels like the story is absent for a big part of the game but fortunately it picks up later on, and that's a shame because it's a fantastic story, just very poorly written in the first half of the game. There's a certain point halfway in the story where the game becomes linear and focuses on the narrative, and I really liked that, there's a lot of action and challenging boss fights in the second half of the game, and all that leads to the final chapter, which I can safely say that the it is one of the best sequences I've ever played, and this ending is the BEST thing I've ever experienced in my life, I was left absolutely speechless, crying my eyes out. And that soundtrack is masterfully crafted, one of my favorite soundtracks ever. I still can't process what I've played, I will never forget this masterpiece of an ending.… Expand

    I watched the movie and some recaps of the anime series to get deep into the story and lore, this was an awesome adventure, its an original and awesome game, one of the best games I have ever played. Not a perfect game, but for me this was a deep emotional adventure, so for that alone this game gets a 10.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. First of all: FF 15 is the only game I have spent 50 hours playing because it was a funny and a very interesting experience til the end. In the FF Order it is the best FF to me (without having played yet FF 7 remake + FF 16).

    Pros:
    - Graphics: amazing, e.g. using magic against Ifrit - Storyline: Noctis seeking some kind of revenge for his father‘s death - Battle System: Real-time with great characters - Difficulty: Game offeres a wide range (e.g. easy playing: using loot and walkthrough and more sophisticated using the straight way)
    - Worlds: Fantastic variety from friendly to dark places The only weakness of the game is showing depth in the feelings of the main characters by using more high-profile cut scenes (e.g. FF 13-1 // Jedi: Fallen Order).    … Expand

    this is by far the best FF game i have ever played. the story has drawn me in, the graphics are amazing!! there are so many things you can do in the world and it feels alive with NPCs displaying animations in stunning quality. Only draw back for me is that I don't have a powerful enough GPU to run the game in Ultra settings. this game is a must for everyone who likes RPG games.

    A fast-paced and high-impact action game, with a very simple plot but that manages to give great emotions.
    I have hardly found other games that have given me the same emotions that the exceptional ending of this Final Fantasy XV gave me.

    Having played many action games in my videogamer career, I can certainly recommend this game to anyone looking for a great action jrpg experience.

    Although he already went out on console, I was able to redo the game on my computer. I am satisfied to play it, because I can play it in optimal condition. However, SQUARE ENIX should have gone out at the same time as the console, because I had to redo him. The game remains excellent, but I lower the score of a point for the lack of reactivity on behalf of SQUARE ENIX on this matter.

    Voice-acting: SUPERB!!! Aside some few voices that felt really rushed by some no name extras the rest was really well done!!
    Combat is fluid and fast, it will make you falter in the beginning but after a while you will get used to it's fast paced brawl and face all the challenges the game gives you. Bosses get progressively difficult and the challenge the game gives you seems fair. Some choices of style so the combat does not feels forced.
    The story has it's problems but few and far between, the whole package is MASTERFUL and MEMORABLE!! The journey that you go through is really good, and has layers upon layers of development to the characters, epic moments FEEL epic! The romance felt a little under developed but my only true complain. The game knows that the best part of it are the 4 main characters and thrives on it!! Everything around them is a piece of art. You can have a favourite, but all of them do seem to complete each other.
    One of the best Final Fantasy! This game feels Final Fantasy through and through.

    Yes FF XV does have several defaults. Yes the secondary quests are repetitive. Yes the scenario is fragmented as it suffers here and there from gaping narrative holes. That's why a story-driven-DLC-based aftercare has been set into motion in order to try to mitigate the problems. All the content released so far is included in this edition so you'll go for the most complete version currently available. I just hope the forthcoming narrative DLCs will keep fleshing out the story even more as FFXV's universe deserves it. Overall, Gladio's, Prompto's and Ignis' related content is not the best ever released on the market but that isn't the goal. The aim here is to fill up again the holes left by the base game's story and theretofore it worked out properly for the concerned parts.

    FFXV is a beautiful tale adorned with an astonishingly rich and nervous combat system giving way to the most dynamic and furiest dustups the series has ever known and it throws you into an intense stunningly rendered road trip-like journey filled with stupendously strong emotional moments delivered by four memorable characters.    … Expand

    If FFXV had come out like this sans the DLC, it would have been more positively recieved. That being said, I loved this game on PS4 for the open world road trip experience and disliked it for story missteps. Overall though, it was a positive experience.

That title was reserved for AC:O but, with all the extra effects and 4K textures this game had me staring at my screen with my mouth wide open.

    This game looks seriously photo-real at times and that is a remarkable achievement! In fact, at times it’s hard to see when a scene goes from in game rendering to full on CGI movie, and that only attests to the quality of the in game renders as the CGI looks superb.

    Good job SE for creating a solid PC port for once. I’m hooked and honestly believe this is a game everyone with a decent gaming rig should own.    … Expand

If you do both of these things, you'll complete the game in about 20 hours and have an incredible time. A dificuldade do jogo não é nada alta, e o jogo ainda da muita assistência antes de você de fato falhar. Todas as vezes que eu realmente morri, foi simplesmente por não querer gastar uma pluma de fênix, o que mais ocorre no início do jogo, sabendo que no mid-end game, a moeda não é mais um problema. Joguei no level 22 até o capitulo 8, enfrentando monstros com o level até 3 vezes maior, e mesmo assim a dificuldade não existia.
    O jogo possui um mapa diverso e grande, mas ele não é totalmente acessível, lhe obrigando a utilizar quase sempre as rodovias principais para viajar de carro (ou ir voando). A diversidade dos monstros, plantas, biomas e etc é boa e bem construída.
    Final Fantasy XV é um jogo grande, bem feito e com uma história bonita de ver. Peca um pouco nas sides, mas nada que realmente estrague o jogo. Um dos melhores JRPGs que já joguei.    … Expand

    Find it difficult to justify a 10 for this game - there are certain quests that should be time reliant, such as the broken down car on the highway, took me 5 in game days to get around to clearing that from my journal and he was still there, waiting by his car. That aside, this game is gorgeous. The story is great, I recommend watching Kingsglaive first as it means you start with the knowledge of the story they expect you to have. Otherwise it can be slightly confusing.

    Overall this is a very strong game. The combat takes some getting used to, unlike other Final Fantasy games, you're not in direct control of all party members so they don't always do as you'd expect, but over time you'll come to rely on their skills and they will save you from yourself when you charge in against 9 enemies. The soundtrack is sublime, listening to old FF games on the road is amazing. The car should offer more freedom, although it's understandable that they've not allowed GTA style freedom in going offroad. The side activities are fantastic, I've enjoyed Chocobo's and Fishing and Cooking and everything around they've left to do. It genuinely feels like a roadtrip with your mates, some side scenes and conversations that aren't essential just add to the game world.

    Overall, brilliant. The second half of the game (where you're on a more linear path) could do with some form of expanding, but overall it's a very, very good game.    … Expand

    This game brings out emotions in you that you didn't even know you had. Game ran fine on my 1070 along with my 144hz monitor. The controls felt great (PS4 dual shock controller) and I didn't run into any crashed and / or performance issues. For me it's a must play.

    I like you can play little games into the main game, like taking photos, fishing...
    Also there are a few things that I dislike. Controls for pc are just absurd, instead combining them, there are a few different key combinations for everything, combats, moving, dodging, picture taking, albums and everything. It kills the great experience of the game. I also have problems with graphics, my mashine is pretty strong with good videocard, but no matter what resolution I choose some objects are very bad, like тheir hair, they move and it leаve white track. I never had that problem with other games.
    I surely have to say I hate the original final. I prefer any of the alternative ones. So the good guy had to die no matter he killed the bad guy? Just to make fans cry - kill the king, then make them love the prince, then kill him too. It really broke my heart watching Noctis die. Or Ignis losing his sight.
    And that end after that - japanese always make some happy wannabe endings what would happen if things went other way. Well it was even worst.    … Expand

    I LOVE this game so much! Addictive, side quests are interesting and I love doing them. Combat system is just working. Graphics is outstanding. I give 9 out of 10 because I can't find my fallen brother's dog tag. Please find me and bring me back 400 times. The Terra Wars event mission was so awesome. I just fallen in love with Sarah :D Just kidding but honestly her appearance was soI LOVE this game so much! Addictive, side quests are interesting and I love doing them.     Unfortunately the gameplay to me is where it lacks. It's too basic and most of the RPG elements are dumbed down heavily to what I call a button masher. That's my number one issue with this title. I expected alot more than just basics. It's all equipment stats and basic skill learning. Nothing really in depth. I expected learning heavy spells, learning complex builds, learning more combos and skills, etc. etc.

    The story was amazing up until after chapter 7 or 8 when it becomes a hallway and all freedom is gone. It looks like they could've done more with the game especially proven with the unfinished areas. I like it but it definitely could've been something grand.

    The quests and the traveling I really love with this game though.
    Optimization on this title is about average and can be better.
    Voice acting is suberb (Both ENG and JP) and I never got tired of Ignis's British accent. I loved it from beginning to end.

    I'm gonna keep this review short though. Long story short they should've left more development time to finish the work that was needed and gave us the unfinished regions. I still think today we should get all that missing stuff from XV as DLC because it's a shame. I would love for them to add new content for the game. Initially 60 dollar title was worth every penny for what it was but I feel like they could've done alot more too.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I got this game for free as a part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and decided I would give the game a try on my PC... It's REALLY good. This game seems to somehow keep me captivated the entire time I was playing, there wasn't ever a moment when I was playing just for the sake of getting to the next part of the game. This game heavily promoted exploration outside the main story as well with dungeons and 70+ side-quests to do. The dungeons on their own are fun on their own since a majority of them are optional and often times difficult, however the reward for completing them is well worth it, even if you only wish to play the game for the story. Every side-quest is fun and rewarding, and a lot of the time, completely unique as well; as well as enhancing parts of the game you wouldn't mess with otherwise. What I mean is, by doing side-quests related to Cindy you get parts to upgrade the Regalia which are fun customizations such as being able to go off-road and even JUMP with the vehicle, by doing side-quests related to Navyth you get fishing rods, lures, and reels, by doing side-quests from Dino you get equipment that helps over the course of the game such as boosting your stats more than most of the other equipment you find from just looting, and from doing side-quests from Cid you can upgrade weapons you get from other side-quests and from just looting. FFXV also has interesting gameplay elements on the side too like fishing which, as uninteresting as it was to me starting out, grew to be something I genuinely enjoyed as I completed more of the Navyth side-quests and unlocked dishes for Ignis to cook. The Cup Noodle side-quests are hilarious to go through as well because how forced the ad placement is, but nothing I would say needs to be removed since it's merely a side-quest.

    On to the main story/gameplay, it's pretty solid for the most part. The pre-rendered cutscenes are a straight 10/10 and the summons part of the game you unlock about a third of the way through are ALWAYS a spectacle to watch, they never grow old. The sound design is also fantastic and there isn't anything I can think of in my time playing FFXV that sounded out of place. I would've rated this game a 10/10 if it wasn't for the ending of the game from a gameplay-only perspective. Everything before Ifrit is great and should stay as is, but everything after just completely pales in comparison to the previous fight. While it's cool that these fights want you to play as the entire cast, (Gladiolus, Prompto, Ignis) it just feels out of place for these mini-bosses and ideally should've been saved for the fight with Ardyn in my opinion. The second of the 3 mini-bosses after Ifrit gave me a lot of issues for whatever reason as well and was the first and only time I died throughout the entire game on Normal difficulty, and was even harder than Ardyn himself, giving the player no time to breathe and when you are given time to breathe you have to literally take a shot in the dark to find her or risk being instantly wiped out with no chance to react when she decides to leave the shadows. The Ardyn fight was anti-climactic as well for something the entire game built up to. You pretty much just have to make a tricast spell with over 300 potency to completely decimate the first phase of the fight. The second phase is even easier, you only have to hold attack and OCCASIONALLY dodge Ardyn's attacks that hardly even hurt if you are hit. The last phase was also a joke literally requiring you to just hold attack and that's it. The actual ending to the story was great though and I have no problems with it.

    Undoubtedly a beautiful and amazing game. One of the best action jrpg I've ever played. Really epic and with an exceptional Lore. Beautiful graphics and splendid soundtrack. The best for lovers of the action genre.

    The graphics in this game look very good, in my opinion, XV's artstyle is more appealing than the anime-like graphics seen in games like Tales of Berseria. The characters have nice and fluid animations making the game more enjoyable than the janky animations usually seen in games with lower budgets. Also, the english dub of this game is, in my opinion, very well done. Everything looks beautiful, the game performs well, and I haven't had so much fun on a FF title since FF VII. Sure, the Honest Trailers gets it spot on, but that's not a bad thing in this case.

    Despite all the hateful comments about dificulty, the game has a great positive atmosphere where you can have great memorising experience. I'm not really familiar with other FF games except fifth one. but i must say i'm intrigued about the FF universe with this one.

There's an Anime, some text scripts and a Movie, but none are bundled with the game. It's a great port, with solid compatibility and scaling. The story is broken and convoluted, but holds emotional weight. The voice acting is like a sine wave, going between serviceable to annoying and repetitive, sometimes even out of touch and inhuman, to fantastic dialogue that really show the depth of each character. The endgame is great, but there's almost no guidance to any of it. The music is amazing, but the car radio is terrible and doesn't feel like part of the world. Every good thing seems flawed with something else that had to be broken in some other way.

    Now, this is the PC version I'm reviewing, and I'm sorry to the season pass holders on console who didn't get the royal edition for free. I think they should've. I'm also writing this after PAX. I now know there are 4 more expansions and comrades will be a standalone release soon. I also know about the modding tools and level editor coming this year. until then, my review is not final, and i will update it accordingly when all the content is done and dusted.    … Expand

    Definitely one of the best experiences of the generation. I'm enjoying the story and I've had a lot of fun with the spectacular gameplay, and especially with the legendary Astral's the Summons God's of this game. The main villain is super charismatic and the soundtrack is just amazing. A really beautiful experience.

    I put 29 hours into this game and if I could go back in time I would not have bothered. During the first ten hours I really enjoyed the game, but as the incoherent story unfolded and battle mechanics grew boring I lost interest. The final three hours of the campaign were tedious, and I only completed the game as I knew the end was near.     Pretty good game, loads to do. Only one bad thing for us old school players... where is the true turn based battle system? I absolutely hate the way Squaresoft has taken the Final Fantasy battle system in their games. I long for the days when it was turn based like with FF VII/VIII/IX & X.

    One of the best looking PC-Games to date. It's pretty well ported, with a few flaws.
    The story isn't the best in the series, but it's still good.
    The openworld is beautiful, but sometimes it feels unfinished.
    The music is amazing, as usual.

Perfect story about young prince and his retinue, about their long intense adventure to become a real king of the kings. The sacrifice that Noctis undertakes is so moving. Video games have come a long way in story telling. His brothers and their relationships with each other was incredible. The final image of Luna and Noctis together at their wedding just makes me believe in heaven and the afterlife so much more.     A great game and a great Final Fantasy. Fast, dynamic and fun gameplay, a simple but very beautiful and really interesting plot. Lore is gorgeous as is the game world, the dungeons, and the beautiful designs of the monsters and Summons. Live and charismatic characters and a truly unique and fantastic villan are accompanied by one of the best OST I've ever heard. Really excellent experience.

The story is interesting to follow, fun, it has exciting points and some unexpected events, but it has holes, it becomes broken at the end and some points at the beginning of the story are kind of strange and could be better worked.     Absolutely amazing game. With outstanding graphics, and really cool and fun gameplay.
    This game is an amazing journey, rich and spectacular, with cool Summons and amazing monster design.
    An awesome openworld game to explore with amazing Chocobos, or with the Regalia.

    Definitely my favorite game of the generation, and easily one of the best Final Fantasy game that I've ever played.

    To be honest, the game isn't as bad as people say: the story could be better yet is not awful, the brotherhood relation is really heartwarming with good dialogues, interactions (during free-roam and battles) and I'm not gonna lie, I really appreciated the road trips with excellent music which were always peaceful (and that's also problematic because we should sense the intensity of the war but no one give a damn about that), the OST is a masterpiece (of course) and the combat had a good concept but failed (FF16 coming to save the day yay!). At that point, every good writers and good game designers can do this, but not everyone can recreate the complex politic specific of the FF franchise and the super rich lore, but this is way to hard to understand for new comers, that's what FF15 wanted to do and that's the main reason the game failed: keeping a little bit of crystals, a little bit of lore and a little bit of politic. But by doing that, the game isn't as deep and complex as other Final Fantasy (just like in FF12 where every story detail is precious and important and you can find them in every corner of the game and you could actually feel the presence of the Imperial army in Dalmasca by watching how people live, how they're treated...) and FFXV become just... a cool fantasy game, that's all. After all, the urban fantasy subtheme is far to be a bad concept (FF7 is a urban fantasy right) and that's why FF13's hate is negociable. But some people struggle to understand that and feel like medieval fantasy is the only right option for FFs but we've seen that Final Fantasy Versus XIII could become a true masterpiece. To be honest, I would rather not give a rating since it can be loved by newcomers and hated by veterans so I give an 8 but just as a fantasy game not a true FF. Still, this is not a definitive lose for SE and I know they will come back in full force with Final Fantasy 16! Yoshi P is back with the biggest bosses of the FF franchise just like he did with FF14! Never forget, Final Fantasy is the real Pheonix!    … Expand

    Final Fantasy XV may not feel like an older game from the franchise, but that doesn't mean it's bad. I grew up with the older Final Fantasy game and while XV is different, that doesn't make it a bad game in the franchise. I enjoyed my time spent in game and look forward to doing more.

    While FFXV is at times engrossing and beautiful, it can also feel like a pretty, hollow shell. The last quarter of the game feels rushed, as if the developers had to wrap things up under pressure, and that's after waiting over a decade for this to come out. While it is not the stellar titan we hoped for, it's certainly Final Fantasy, and we can all be thankful for that.
