    To the game's defense, i can only say that it looks and sounds absolutely the same, which is still delightful and still a little sad at the same time.
    The cheats system propels you into battles and a new game cruise just for the heck of it without any further annoyances (must be my 20'th playthrough in history).

    So i cannot simply say it's junk like the haters leaving bad marks here. I really have no clue what runs through their mind when they tag a 0 to this masterpiece. Their life must be frighteningly dark.

    But i digress, this amazing game needs a complete overhaul, new cinematics, enhanced action and extended adventure. I would LOVE a remake.

    esse remaster não é muito bem feito, existe sim certas diferenças para o de ps1, porém são poucas diferenças e fica com bordas pretas nas laterais, mas o game em sí é fantastico, a história é perfeita, os personagens são profundos e muito bem desenvolvidos, os temas abordos na história são bem feitos ,o sistema de gameplay e combate é complexo demais, mas é muito bom

    Jogo praticamente beira a perfeição!
    Merece levar nota 10 em todas plataformas
    Nesse game você tem vontade de saber da vida de todos personagem, sendo mundo aberto a partir de um tempo podendo explorar onde você quiser.

    Игра моего детства! Люблю серию фф и фф8 моя любимая. Классный сюжет , запоминающиеся персонажи. Единственное что бы я исправил это высасывание магии, было бы здорово если бы она высасывалась разом на 99 и исключала бы часовые высасывания до середины игрыИгра моего детства!     worth it and glad to play this game again. so much memories and nostalgia within this eighth game in the series.

    One of the best games in history. The remaster is fine but it is sad that there was no better upscaling of the pre rendered backgrounds. (Mods help you with that though)

    Child soldiers save the world from a time travelling sorceress, and on the way, discover the power of friendship and love.
    The storytelling is a little choppy, i feel like the localisation wasn't the best, but i still really enjoyed it. So, off the bat, using child soldiers to perform a political assassination, not the best subplot ever, but everything involving time-compression and the Lunatic Pandora is just so weird and awesome. Reminds me of weird mid 90s anime.

    ---{ Gameplay }---
    Battles in this game, the setting up and forming strategies is very fun. There are also moments when it's really frustrating. There is a very steep learning curve, and there's a lot of trial and error. There are some mini-games which have not aged well. My only real gripes are that fades between scenes should have been shortened for this remaster, even with the speed boost they add up, and angles in some locations are so weird that it makes moving in the right direction completely un-intuitive.

    ---{ Graphics }---
    Dated as heck. The updated character sprites look ok, but they really do make everything else look worse by comparison. The art style and design is so beautiful though.

    ---{ Audio }---
    Very late 90s vibes, but it's great. The sound effects are really creative and complement the action nicely. The music in this game is phenomenal. More jazz/funk influence than previous FFs.

    ---{ Difficulty }---
    It's all very do-able if you play correctly. If you don't play correctly, you'll be in for a world of frustration.

    ---{ Grind }---
    It's a JRPG, so... yep. Mostly grinding for magic, and items, or you can grind Triad and refine it into items. Either way there's grinding.

    ---{ Bugs }---
    One bug in the entire playthrough. A character got stuck on a chair in Esthar and i had to reset.

    The game has some issues, but it is still a high-quality title for all JRPG fans. The remaster would deserve much more care, but its base works and it doesn’t make things unnecessarily difficult for you. [Issue#299]

    Final Fantasy 8 did not age well, and I would not recommend it as an introduction into JRPGs, but it does offer an interesting introspective at the history of this genre. Unfortunately, the remaster is quite shoddy, and there is no better official version than this.

    This remaster hits a few major points when it comes to refreshing an old game. But blurry, upscaled backgrounds and a missed opportunity to go from 4:3 to 16:9 aspect ratio, leave much to desire here. Yet, it is still as great game as it ever was. It's just easier to see it, this time around.
