Terrible and short DLC. You basically have Ulysses taunting you with typical villain talk spouting pseudophilosophical crap while you go in his direction. And that's exactly what you do, make a straight line for Ulysses, since there is no new areas to speak of, it's just a long, straight area with two or three side areas that aren't involved in any quests (there aren't any sidequests!).Terrible and short DLC. You basically have Ulysses taunting you with typical villain talk spouting pseudophilosophical crap while you go in his direction. And that's exactly what you do, make a straight line for Ulysses, since there is no new areas to speak of, it's just a long, straight area with two or three side areas that aren't involved in any quests (there aren't any sidequests!). The whole thing can be finished in around 3 hours, and it's basically a shoot 'em up. The whole DLC is comprised of pretty much 3 kinds of enemies, Marked Men (reskinned ghouls using weapons), Tunnelers (reskinned spore carriers) and Deathclaws (like half a dozen or so). The DLC has so much potential, hinting at the Courier's past, but nothing is really clear, and you get out of it knowing even less about the past of your character... why even bother then? Ulysses basically just speaks cryptically to cover up the fact that he's got nothing interesting to say. Also, on the end, you get a chance to nuke either NCR or the Legion: does it affect the world? Nope! Instead of bombing, say, the Hoover Dam or the Encampment, you will bomb a random location that's basically just a chance to kill ghouls and get loot. Zero effect on the main quest. Much like Mothership Zeta (the final and hugely disappointing DLC for Fallout 3), Fallout New Vegas will end on a low note. Too sad. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Hmm, let's see: Pre-War obsessed psycho? Seen it in Dead Money. A homeland decimated? Seen it in Honest Hearts. Crazy abominations made by doomsday tech? Seen it in Old World Blues. We've seen all of this already in DM, HH, and OWB, and it was done far better in them. This DLC is nothing but one long grindfest; at least in the previous DLCs there are some sidequests and colorful characters to lighten things up. And as far as I was concerned, I knew enough about Ulysses from what I heard in Old World Blues and Honest Hearts. You don't need to buy this to know what happens, and quite frankly, it's so boring, you don't really want it Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Again they waste AWESOME starting materiel and concept with a way too short, hardly "new" experience. This one was at least somewhat challenging with normal enemies, but lackluster "bosses". No new enemies really, just re-skinned existing NPC's with no new abilities other than extra health and damage. I was intrigued at the beginning, then i realized there was only ONE quest, and the entire thing was heavily linear. When i finished it, i had a heavy "thats it?" feeling. There were alot of references to those little snippets of courior six and the other courier. Doesn't do a very good job of putting them together, considering half the plot of this DLC is your own history which you seem not to remember in the slightest. (to be fair, you were shot in the head but still). The world here is more of teh same, busted up building, and little camp fires and junk heaps. nothing new. I rate this one only slightly better than dead-money, equal to honest hearts, and Old world blues the only good one they made.

    SPOILERS*****
i like that bit at the end, assuming you launch the missiles, where you can visit a place that got nuked. That was one thing i think has always been missing from the DLC's is that they don't affect the main world, and this one does, though only slightly.

Best part, the new weapons. Even they are not that great though.

Meh, it's alright, I suppose. A decent length, even if that's mostly spent plodding through bland environments killing dull enemies, and the odd Deathclaw. The story resolves around dumping large parts of plot on you via conversations with your mysterious nemesis, but it's just not up to the standard of FNV in general, and by the end I didn't really care about what he had to say. I will say two things at once, the first: no dlc does not tighten and does not bring anything, the second: how happy it is to return to the wasteland, such a native and such a mysterious, and dlc, just a set of tasks and locations with characters intersecting with each other, but the sense of this is exactly zero.Developers failed to make something really interesting, and unusual, additions all short, and to think up that or for 3-4 hours it was possible, but alas. For me personally, they at once, not worth its price and a little regret that I took the full version, but at least now you know what it represents.

I'm a huge fan of fallout NV but I have to say this DLC was awful, With Honest Hearts we got to explore a great new wasteland with New characters and a good storyline, Old world blues was great and funny as hell, Dead money was intense and gripping and had a fantastic feel to it, this is just rubbish, its only new feature is a shiny laser tagger that detonates warheads and is impossible toI'm a huge fan of fallout NV but I have to say this DLC was awful, With Honest Hearts we got to explore a great new wasteland with New characters and a good storyline, Old world blues was great and funny as hell, Dead money was intense and gripping and had a fantastic feel to it, this is just rubbish, its only new feature is a shiny laser tagger that detonates warheads and is impossible to remove from your inventory, the only new enemies are re-skinned ghouls and Spore carriers and the whole quest consisted of just walking through repetitive waves of enemies until you meet Ulysses and kill him and then its over, The only good things about it were the option to nuke a part of the Mojave of your choice and ED-E, Other than that, Don't waste your money and buy either of the others DLC's instead Expand

Short trip on the devastated road full of deathly fried ghouls and one incredibly chatty negro (literally) who serves as a boss/narrator. Good as a part of The Ultimate Edition of New Vegas, but not really worth it standalone, as it is probably the weakest of the New Vegas DLS's package. 4/10

Another bad DLC for Fallout. This one is very linear, has no sidequest and is shooter orientated. Sounds borings and it is boring. In addition the dialogs by the only one NPC (Ulysses) is extremely annoying again: low content, so much ****

Once you reach him you are treated to a boss fight which is nothing short of a massive pain in the arse unless you have high enough speech skills.
The only plausable reason i can see in buying this DLC is for the increased level cap, as everything else in this dlc suck.
Lonesome Road is a fine example of how you can cash in making no effort and adding nothing to the original game through DLC.

This is so BAD that i had to Google it to REMEMBER what was it about. I finished it a month ago and i don't remember ANYTHING ... that's how BAD it is. I swear to got i can make a better DLC alone than all their 4 DLC's combined with 10% of the budget. Lazy and no effort.

Do not waste your money on this trainwreck. If you really want to know how it ends, go to the Fallout Wikia and read the article on Ulysses.
