With excellent gameplay and atmospheric effects, tied together in a bundle of deeply intricate lore, fans of the series should not be disappointed.

Far Harbor delivers, and if Bethesda continues to make DLC for Fallout 4 this is exactly what we want to see from them. A game with choices and emotion, built in a world that's chock-full of atmosphere and challenges, while still spinning a web of dark humor and happiness and telling a story of people struggling to survive in a world where survival is at best optional and at worst impossible.

If you have run out of things to do in the Commonwealth, or simply want to experience something with more variety and choice for the player, then Far Harbor will surely satisfy.

Unlike previous Fallout 4 DLCs Far Harbor provides a huge new island full of interesting stories, people to talk to and tough choices to make. A must-have for any Fallout fan. [09/2016, p.43]

Far Harbor is the biggest DLC Fallout has ever seen. An intriguing story will make sure there are some tough choices to be made. Definitely a must-have for every Fallout fan.

Far Harbor adds a large amount of great quests and content within its gloomy but distinctive island setting. Thanks to some well-written, morally ambiguous characters, its choices are as gray as the weather, and much more interesting. Though the new companion isn’t the strongest and the supposedly ruinous radioactive fog is more annoying than threatening, all of the adventuring and new gear absolutely made it worth my while to return to Fallout 4 for Far Harbor.

From a narrative standpoint, this is definitely the DLC that Fallout 4 needed. You'll meet a lot of interesting characters in Far Harbor, all connected in a complex and satisfying storyline with multiple moral choices. It definitely costs a lot for a DLC, but it's worth every penny.

Looking for that perfect escape from the daily grind of supermutants, synths, railroad activists, raiders, rust devils, and Brotherhood of Steel do-gooder types who parade around the post-apocalyptic Boston wasteland like they frigging own the place? Then welcome to Far Harbor, a lovely, picturesque, stupendously highly radioactive island off the coast of Maine.

Far Harbor is the best DLC ever released for Fallout 4. With its blend of traditional sci-fi and horror, this expansion rewrites the world of Fallout, with more than 12 hours of new content, a living and captivating new area to explore, and some intriguing characters to interact with.

Far Harbor offers an abundant amount of content and a fascinating and expansive new area to explore. This is the largest and best expansion for Fallout 4 this far.

Aside from a puzzle sequence that completely breaks up the flow of the entire expansion, every inch of Far Harbor is oozing with the detail and love that make Fallout 4 such an impressive feat.

A great setting, a good story, and more dialogue-based solutions than the base game provides.

At least Far Harbor was better than fighting the robots of the Automatron DLC.

For its new locations and weapons, the turbulent waters of Maine are a satisfying compliment to Fallout 4. But where Far Harbor succeeds in delivering more of the same great gameplay and oddball characters that made the main campaign such a joy, it can't muster an interesting story.

  1. The expansion is so large, so full of stuff, that the puzzle sequence forms a very small part of it. It’s just a very, very frustrating part. Grit your teeth. Take deep breaths. Hope that the pathfinding behaves. You will be able to get back to what you enjoy about Fallout, I promise.

Nothing has changed, go to this place kill this, go to the over side of the map and kill that, it's more of the same stuff from Bethesda. It creates a stark contrast with the commonwealth in more aspects than just being dark and foreboding; it has an interesting plot that creates a sense of mystery, believable npc's and immersive quest lines & factions. The island is highly detailed, filled to the brim with content and pretty large.

Additionally it offers cool new weapons, new monsters & enemy factions, improved settlement building with four great locations and a proper challenge, at least on survival mode. And it has fog. Lots of it. Initially my FPS suffered a bit due to that (i7,GTX970, SDD), but after updating Nvidia drivers, optimizing for FO4 and picking adaptive V-sync it runs much smoother.
