Fall of Porcupine offers a wrenching, often inspiring story about the vital importance of reaching out to the vulnerable and doing everything possible to make their lives better. It’s a rough ride emotionally, but absolutely worth the trip.

Enchanting story game that takes both a critical and a cordial look at employment in a hospital, but does not do without drawbacks.

While its third act strays too far from what initially made it great, Fall of Porcupine boasts likable characters, welcoming visuals, and plenty of fuzzy moments in its narrative.

Fall of Porcupine does capture a small part of the experience of working in healthcare, and it does feel relatable in some respects. The game also explores the complexity of the relationship between people and the healthcare system, as well as the issues that are faced. The story and characters are well portrayed, with the music and artwork also being a highlight. However, there are some bugs that need medicating, along with some more concrete conclusions on some plot threads.

Like a prodigious medical school grad, Fall of Porcupine shows breathtaking potential. For a while, the game makes good on its premise detailing some of the unstated difficulties of working as a junior doctor. But then the game seems to fold under the weight of its ambitions, delivering a particularly disheartening third act. Porcupine reminds us that the truly talented are susceptible to burnout.
