This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game can almost be fun on the lowest difficulty and i mean ALMOST, if you like grindy games where you can easily get soft locked in certain story areas of the game(temple of sleepers and icemist underlevels), and just bad enemy design, enemies have weakness but you wouldn't know because it's not like Pokemon where it lets you know and is intuitive, skeletons are weak to fire but wait not all of them and so on and so forth, only way to find out what they're weak to is checking the wiki, this game is made by one guy and it definitely shows, just feels like an overall cheap game where no thought was put in place to make it fun, just tedious and repetitive, the story is average and the diologue is cringe and found a lot of typos. This is one of those games where i put over 100 hours with different builds just so i can give a fair review and i just cant find this game "fun" it feels like a chore, the difficulty is a huge turn off, nothing like dark souls where it's amazing because it's determine by your reactions and memorizing their fight patterns and can beat a boss way stronger than you at a lower level, not here, it's just hard to be hard, unless you're several levels higher and with a weapon that they're weak to (that the game doesn't tell you they're weak to) it becomes manageable, it's one of those games that are charming at first and just get annoyingly bad the more you keep playing, also the map is strange, i have over 100 game hours and i still get confused that north isn't north, it's actually north west so i sometime go to wrong places because of the confusion, just tilt the map to match the inworld perspective, your companions are janky anf get stuck behind tress and other objects, and was makes me mad the most is not being able to go through tress, TREES IN REAL LIFE ARE NOT THAT THICK, they aren't walls and you can easily go around them but nonono in the game you have to avoid every tree like a maze and makes traversing one place to another much more tedious and long, now the armors, if an armor is made in a certain area you would expect it to be sold in that area, nonono thurmiam plate mail is unique and only one enemy in the game has is and you're forced to kill him(but you have a choice) just for that armor, and a lot of armors and weapons have this problem, this is one of those things you can take a page from Skyrim from, the more i play this the more i think "hey i think i can make a more fun game that's actually enjoyable to play". I have this game so many chances but no matter how many hours i play i just can't recommend it to anyone, pretty sure the developer doesn't read these and has stopped working on the game, impressive for 1 guy but definitely needed a team. Awful PC port. I'm not even sure why they bothered. The controls are entirely unfit for a mouse. The enemies are too tiny to target, so yourAwful PC port. I'm not even sure why they bothered. The controls are entirely unfit for a mouse. The enemies are too tiny to target, so your protagonist will be running around like an idiot while your opponent kills the sh*t out of you. Gotta love games where your enemies always have precise perfect aim, while your hero can barely hit anything.
That's pretty sad because the lore and the story look interesting enough, the visuals and the music create a comfy RPG vibe that I really wanted to enjoy. Except I couldn't for purely mechanical reasons. What a waste.
