I can't understand why critics had so many mixed opinions. To my mind, this is one of those games which is a complete concept, and nothing is to be added, removed, or altered. It has solid style, simple idea, gameplay with great tactical possibilities, and also it can be very addictive. Absolutely great game, and it is even more amazing that two people created such a polished product.

Another example of how simplicity is sometimes the best option, the idea behind eufloria is incredibly simple but due to this the game ends up being exceptionally enjoyable and fantastically relaxing. recommended.

A wonderful passive game that rewards patience, so it's enjoyable while watching something else or conversing with a friend. Smooth graphics and a nice ambient soundtrack to keep it ultra casual. Feels a lot like FLOW for the PSP, but with more strategy. Super easy to relax on this one.

Eufloria redefines the meaning of low-price game with it's beautiful graphics and addictive, long story mode.

Great game if you ask me, I don't see why so many critics didn't like it.

well first i thought its boring, but after a while playing and after i got used to the controls, i started liking it.

the first 9 levels are kinda just -> get enough units-> rush enemy. after that the enemies and levels get a bit more tricky. once you complete the "campain" there are a lot of additional maps and missions to play, you can also create your own. the music is good and calm

the music is good and calm the design as well. all together a very relaxing game.

10.0 Beautiful, simple, strategic, poetic, intelligent... A very good game. No need of strong hardware... I'd like that game editors take in account about my review :)

One of my favorite games. You can pick how you like to play..If you like rush strategy, you can play that way; if you like to wait it out and mass your forces, you can play that way too. I like the flexibility of the strategic choices that are offered while you're playing. It's a very easy game to get into, and each level (for me) takes 30 - 90 minutes to complete. I like the flexibility of the strategic choices that are offered while you're playing. It's a very easy game to get into, and each level (for me) takes 30 - 90 minutes to complete. The game has elegant, clean graphics that look professional, yet simple, and the soundtrack, while not something you'd listen to in your car, is very soft and fitting for the game. It may seem like an absurd idea to think about getting trees, seeds, and flowers to fight for resources in space, but the concept is very original and it works unexpectedly well. Not sure why the critics don't like it more. It's not meant to replace games like Command & Conquer or Starcraft, which are faster-paced and much more complex. The point of the game is simplicity. I will also say that after the recent update, the A.I. does have some interesting tricks.

For anyone that likes a slower-paced RTS without the complexities of typical RTS games, try Eufloria. I have to admit, however, that $20.00 is a little bit pricey. I purchased the game when it was on sale, so I have no complaints. To anyone interested in buying on Steam, this game will probably go on sale multiple times a year. Just wait for it.

A very good game in its genre. It's based on its look and feel, on its art and its music. A slow and enjoyable experience I'm suggesting to anybody interested in the like. If you are not interested in this elements tough you will probably be disappointed, as this is not trying to be a strategy game with a particular art style, it's about the style first and strategy later.

Not the most complicated game but fun and relaxing. The presentation is simple but attractive. 219 hours played. I guess you could say that I like this game.

this game is quite fun, there may be times of repetitiveness but extra features such as the lazer mine keeps things mixed up and more unpredictable. overall, it's pretty nice

  1. Eufloria is tough, but not impossible, to love. You may have to fight through (or altogether ignore) the campaign mode to get to the good stuff, and even then you may spend more time waiting and micromanaging than you'd like, but I can't possibly deny the strength of Eufloria's most basic design choices.
  2. It's a beautiful, thoughtful curiosity. But somewhere in getting at the essence of strategy gaming, Eufloria has become a sketch, a distraction, a showcase, and a toy: it's an experience that you'll enjoy, rather than a coherent and satisfying game.

Pleasant enough, but it feels like little more than a glorified iPhone game. [Christmas 2009, p.95]
