A non-intuitive combat system, which is a combination of a defective RTS and a defective RPG, interface that covers everything, a lot of bugs and shortcomings. I had a lot of fun playing it

On one hand, it has relatively decent 3D models of humans, vegetation and other things, with animations and voices. On the other hand, there is a horrendous GUI with oversized text, a joke of a tutorial (just several modal dialogs with a lot of text, non-interactive, with no arrows or highlights pointing out), clumsy combat (you can't even select several characters at once) and poor English localization.

My best guess would be that the author simply took all the 3D assets, with textures and animations, somewhere from the internet, either for free or for a low price. The rest he did himself. The result is a crappy game which is super-clumsy to play, which couldn't even be called an alpha version. It's a tech demo or a proof of concept at best - with messy design and careless execution.

No, this isn't indie, it's garbage. Steam Greenlight should weed such stuff out. But the video on Steam and the screenshots are not too bad. And one couldn't even call them deceptive because they are taken from the game, or at least use the assets from the game. I guess the author found that sweet spot where he can't be officially blamed for misconduct but still puts out trash which some buyers will be too lazy to refund.

I dunno why I'm even giving it a 2 and not a 0. Maybe the 3D models were done by one of their team? Maybe they didn't have any deception in mind when making the game? In that case I'm sorry for my misunderstanding. Still, the end product is a poor game.
