Jan 16, 2026Dynasty Warriors: Origins – Visions of Four Heroes delivers a surprisingly rich and emotional expansion that reimagines iconic characters through alternate-history storylines. With four robust campaign routes, new weapons, and meaningful combat refinements, this DLC rewards long-time fans while giving returning players plenty of fresh content to explore. Although some design choices feel disconnected from the base game's systems, the narrative depth and gameplay enhancements make this a standout Musou experience for 2026.

Jan 16, 2026Dynasty Warriors has always focused on Shu, Wu, Wei, and Jin, but the "Other" factions have always been my favorite. For two decades, I have waited for the chance to join the campaign alongside Zhang Jiao, Dong Zhuo, Yuan Shao, and Lu Bu. Visions of Four Heroes finally gives these characters their own stories, and the "what if" scenarios actually deliver. Omega Force also threw in three new companions, the Bow and Rope Dart as new weapons, and a Training Ground mode that should have been in the base game from the start. At $34.99, this is worth it. If you already love Origins, just buy it.

Jan 16, 2026Visions has some amazing highs, and challenges players in way they might not have felt for a long time. It’s more of Origins, and I mean that in the best possible way.

Jan 16, 2026Dynasty Warriors: Origins Visions of Four Heroes is a solid expansion to the great game that was Dynasty Warriors: Origins.

Jan 16, 2026While Visions of Four Heroes largely offers more of the same Dynasty Warriors: Origins action, it's not exactly a bad thing. The four new stories presented here have lots of exciting battles to play through, and there are some new features such as Strategic Battles and additional weapons to make things feel somewhat fresh.

Jan 29, 2026Dynasty Warriors: Origins – Visions of Four Heroes feels like a somewhat half-hearted DLC when compared to the excellent main game. Each individual story is interesting, and the newly added content doesn’t look bad at first glance, but the price is far too high for the amount of content on offer, and the game’s balance has become oddly skewed. Even so, because the base game itself is so strong, the experience remains enjoyable to play.

Jan 16, 2026The Visions of Four Heroes story DLC for Dynasty Warriors: Origins capitalizes on what made the game great. It constantly throws players into battles against overwhelming odds, and they have to find a way to lead their allies to victory. Grand army versus army confrontations never got old in Origins, and this DLC serves them up regularly. The constrained and isolated nature of each DLC campaign does make its fanfiction story beats inherently hollow, though its skewed perspective on alternative “what-if” scenarios does provide some amusing moments for those tapped into the Romance of the Three Kingdoms narrative.
