    Officially, the gaming community today is the stupidest ever. The game according to Italians deserves a 0/10 rating as there is no language available for them. This is just one disadvantage that does not affect the gameplay. The game itself is great, a good game worth attention has finally come out for over a year

    You are a big fan of the brand. You pay a few dozen dollars for the game in a preorder. In the end, the publisher says he'll implement denuvo, which works horribly, and he'll let twitch streamers play the game the day before, because he's a big streamer and you worm, wait another day because you don't deserve to play it earlier. No more preoders.

    Abysmal writing, cardboard NPCs with 0 charisma, awful narrative, boring main story and repetitive Ubisoft-esque sidequests. Instant refund.

    Such a shame, I was really hyped with the whole "narrative focus" and "decisions with consequences" thing... It could have turned out so differently if Avellone had been at the helm...     Минус игры всего один, это даунгрейд графики от 2018/2019 vs retail. Оговорка про баги, сейчас это так тупо судить когда выходит игра, скажите какая вышла ааа без багов, причём тут их мало они все почти сетевые, за 37 часов игры игра не вылетела у нас(играем в 3ем) ниразу! Минус игры всего один, это даунгрейд графики от 2018/2019 vs retail.     I love everything about this game. Gameplay doesn't feel repetitive and is actually very addictive. Movement is so polished and smooth. Just a joy to master. Graphics are amazing. Maxed out raytracing setting on RTX3090 that is. Lighting with this setting feels really next gen and makes most of the modern AAA games look like cartoon. Story wise it's pretty decent actually and fitsI love everything about this game. Gameplay doesn't feel repetitive and is actually very addictive. Movement is so polished and smooth. Story wise it's pretty decent actually and fits atmosphere and the world quiet nicely and makes me wanna know what comes next. Overall to me this one is much better than the first one and the size of it and the depth are quiet surprising. Few small technical bugs I've noticed: the game looks too blurry in motion with DLSS enabled. Had to set sharpness slider to 70 as this is the only value that produced kinda similar image standing still vs moving. But it looks a bit oversharpen as result. Hope devs fix this and make DLSS quality look less blurry in motion so we don't have to crank up sharpness as high. Then there are ghosting trails behind some moving objects from time to time (this is with DLSS enabled as well). Something off with motion vectors I guess as pointed by Digital Foundry as well in their video. But overall it's a great experience still and real joy to play! Playing in downtown now with all those tall buildings with many walkable floors and overall geometry complexity and just looks and feels like the most dense, beautiful and complex level and environment design in games to date. And the performance is quiet smooth. No stutter no nothing considering what's on display. Great job Techland!

    Oh and flashlight shadows of course. Really hope devs will add them in. Currently shadowless flashlight is the weakest portion of the game presentation. Unfortunately 50% of the game happening in the dark and flashlight looks really outdated compare to all other graphical features on display. Whoever made this decision disabling flashlight shadows was wrong    … Expand

    I mean the game is fine u run into bugs from time to times but mostly of them just make u laught nothing serious the story isnt the best and isnt the worst but its good for me so ill give it a 10 the game makes me laught sometimes sad and great whit friends VERY GOOD!

    Terrible, disgusting game, and the same terrible optimization, the developers also put Denuvo. And the main problem was that firearms were removed from the game, it feels like the action of the game takes place in the Stone Age.

    If you told me this was made by people who previously worked at Ubisoft and CD Project Red - I wouldnt be surprised.
    This is copy/paste all over the damn place, its climb tower puzzles to unlock areas and its 100s of apartement blocks, all alike that you need to traverse to loot stuff.

    Even in the first "tutorial" part of the game - you meet a guy, talk to him - follow him into the next room and he suddenly says: "im going to leave you now, cause someone said to me, if you think someone is suspicious, you must leave them"... he then enters the next room and you both carry on like nothing happened... WTF.

    The combat is boring, its swing light attacks - unlock heavy attacks later on - they did try to spice it up with parkour attacks, but you have to block the attacks the perfect time - so all youre doing is waiting for that to happen and then get a few kicks in before youre back to blocking and tapping left mouse.
    I loved the first game, but I struggle to see both how this game is in any way an improvement - and how they have worked on it for so long.
    Ubisoft pumps **** like this out every year, its the same thing. Copy paste buildings and events and a world that feels dead around those "events"    … Expand

    A very fun good, much improved compared to the first part. Beautiful scenery and super flowing parkour with free exploration. Additionally, a story with different endings! Super game! Im really love it! Ps. Most people gives 0 because game has denuvo and no Italian - no comment :/

Боёвка здесь убита напрочь, когда в дл 1 ты кайфовал от того, как убиваешь зомби, здесь же ты не получаешь никакого удовлетворения, не знаю какая была проблема добавить старую механику. Паркур здесь средний. Сюжет такой же, такое чувство что диалоги то ни на что не влияют. Про Денуво я вообще молчу, на кой хрен его добавили я даже не знаю.     I couldn't find any positive aspect in this game: terrible punishment for Italian players (our language missing in the game); boring story and gameplay; no button assignments; no manual save system; crashes; bugs (many bugs); terrible graphics for a 2022 game; Denuvo added just two days before the realease. Gamers will not forget dear Techland

Let's just ask yourself a question " Am I really playing DL for the story ? ". The answer is no. You play this game because of extremely addictive gameplay mechanics including brutal and satisfying combat system, THE BEST PARKOUR SYSTEMThis game is as much enjoyable as the first DL.     I've got about 30 hours in so far. Overall I really like the game. Haven't been board yet and I actually like the story. No regrets. On my 3060 the performance is nice although you can forget about RT, turns it into a slow poke. Otherwise performance has been great.

    I think either you hate the game, or you love it. Some ppl maybe riding that CDPR hate wave. Really weird, but I guess some ppl just have got a lot of hate stored in them. Probably didn't even play the game. Whatever. Have a nice day :)

    Если бы половина бюджета игры потраченная на рекламу этой игры была использована на ее разработку, то не пришлось бы сейчас наблюдать столько проблем с оптимизацией и анимацией. Не пришлось бы внедрять Денуво для увеличения продаж сырого продукта. Денуво которая сильно портит производительность и без того плохо оптимизированной игры. Посмотрите на своих коллег из CDPR, они выпустилиЕсли бы половина бюджета игры потраченная на рекламу этой игры была использована на ее разработку, то не пришлось бы сейчас наблюдать столько проблем с оптимизацией и анимацией. Не пришлось бы внедрять Денуво для увеличения продаж сырого продукта. Денуво которая сильно портит производительность и без того плохо оптимизированной игры. Посмотрите на своих коллег из CDPR, они выпустили высококачественную игру без защиты и весь мир в восторге и они заработали больше чем нужно. В общем пока игра того не стоит.     What an amazing game! Has a few bugs but will be fixed with patches just basic Game release stuff. So happy for once a company just improved there formula for what there game got praised about originally! Thank you Techland for such an amazing gift. Please continue and just let dying light be what it is and just improve it as you have it all already

    dying light 2 to my surprise exceeded my expectations on so many levels. in my opinion it is a massive upgrade from the first game here is why:

    1- incredible parkour 2- amazing story which actually gave me goosebumps at times 3- ambiance is a solid 10/10 4- combat got a massive upgrade on so many aspects 5- the environment and NPCs in general received some well needed upgrades    dying light 2 to my surprise exceeded my expectations on so many levels. in my opinion it is a massive upgrade from the first game here is why:

    1- incredible parkour
    2- amazing story which actually gave me goosebumps at times
    3- ambiance is a solid 10/10
    4- combat got a massive upgrade on so many aspects
    5- the environment and NPCs in general received some well needed upgrades

    I feel like I'm not playing the same game as some of these other reviewers.

    I'm enjoying this game immensely, and it has actually exceeded my expectations. I thought the first game was fairly mediocre, and the second game has me sold. - Progression System is pretty good. It goes along with the story and character development. Leveling greatly improves both your combat and parkour    I feel like I'm not playing the same game as some of these other reviewers.

    - Several different enemy types, both zombies and factions. When combined together, this is quite a large number of different enemies.

    - I'm personally enjoying the story quite a bit. I don't think the characters are dull or uninteresting. A lot of t hem are very believable and the voice acting is definitely above standard. I'm not sure what people are comparing this game to when it comes to animations and voice actor quality. There might be 1 or 2 RPGS out there with better quality.

    I guess I never follow the hype campaigns that these companies put out, so I don't know if that's playing into some of these other reviews. I was definitely surprised on how much I'm enjoying this game, and the RPG elements are much appreciated.    … Expand

    The first part is much better. The optimization is terrible, you promised to remove it if Denuvo interferes. A bunch of bugs I paid to be a game tester? Then it's up to you to fill me in.

    The lazy millenial devs over at Techland did not hit that home run.
    Hitting the zombies in DL1 feels more impactful with tangible stutters and has that crunchy feedback feeling and the zombies don't stagger easily and even pounce forward on you making it harder to slice them and even the kick has    Dying Light 2 is a downgrade in literally every single aspect of the game compared to DL1.

    Hitting the zombies in DL1 feels more impactful with tangible stutters and has that crunchy feedback feeling and the zombies don't stagger easily and even pounce forward on you making it harder to slice them and even the kick has a bit of rumbling and vibration to it as it's impacting on the zombie. And when you fall from a high point, the wind speed sound increases and the camera shakes with blur as you're falling down. While in DL2, I dunno the combat feels more "game-ish" in a way, almost shallow as you're slicing air with minimal feedback and the zombies aren't as aggressive as the first game (it's like they're easy xp givers) and the kick is underwhelming with barely any rumbling feedback and there's no visible effect on screen as you're falling down, you just fall down with no wind or camera effect. And the graphics in DL1 have more "POP" to them, dark, contrasty, intense and atmospheric with that lens flare (aggressive lens flare from the sun as it blinds you and even from fire and electricity too), film grain effect and lite motion blur, you could really feel unease, tense and stressed out because you didn't want to go outside on the streets because there were hundreds of undead waiting around every corner and even crowded on the streets and open areas (like squares, intersections etc...). The graphics in DL2 lose that bit, no more film grain, no more contrasty atmospheric tension-filled look, no more lite motion blur and no more "fear of the zombies" feeling. It now has multiple layers of color (which is appreciated but strangely out of place since this isn't supposed to be a happy colorful world, this is still a zombie plague we're talking about here), you move and interact in a more "static" way if you get what i mean, there's no heavy movement with heavy motion (as a normal human being would have) like in the first game, the image is clean and clear with barely any visible aggressive effects for physicality (like how it flashes black and white when you get hit or fall down or how the weapon slice snap-rebounds off the zombie as the screen shakes).

    To me it seems that Techland made DL1 as the tough, grounded and physical zombie apocalypse game, but made DL2 as the shallow fun zombie Role Playing Game (that is different from what Techland set out to make with the first game)    … Expand

Especially combat and all the physics is a huge let down. They lied about the whole "your decision matter" aspect of the game which was heavily advertised. Can't play co-op.     Terrible, terrible game. It looks like the development of a group of schoolchildren who played with the editor, but this is not a full-fledged game that you need to buy, after restarting the computer, my Denuvo activation went off.

    Another totally average "ubi like" checklist game. Bland and uninteresting story, cringy flashback moments, overuse of cutscenes where game is taking the controls because a protagonist must look around for no reason.

    Parkour is the highlight of this game and works very well, however the story and the world presented is so uninspired that I've lost interest after 15h.

    Wait for 50% discount.

    Every other aspect is nice. Side Quests funny as usual. New interesting missions besides Story and side quests. A bit repetitive overtime but fun to play.     This game is absolutely a marvel. In every aspect it's an improvement to the predecessor, in terms of combat, parkour, everything. Gameplay is one of the most addictive out there, you can web swing like spider man, climb like in mirror's edge and fight like Kratos in god of war. Well earned 10/10, keep up the good work Techland.

Same crap as Far Cry: New Dawn, boring world with boring weapons, boring people problems. They chose the worst part of the apocalypse, rebuilding a world where nothing happens. I personally don't like it. You can choose between 2 sides you want to help. Survivors and Peace Keepers. Both are stupid idiots, one looks like beggars and the other like paintball kids playing soldiers. You can't manually save so if you glitch into a wall during some missions and die you fail it and bye bye. Most of the characters aren't very interesting and the few that are worthwhile aren't super essential to the story. The zombies feel like they are just there to fill out the world, you almost don't have to fight them, the main opponents are humans. The physics and behaviour of the zombies is disappointing, you just sneak past most of them anyway so they don't see you and when you do fight one you don't break their bones with your punches and they don't X-ray like in DL1 which was one of the best features, you don't break their bones with every punch like in DL1. You're just taking away the Hp's that levitate above them to die, also almost everything here defies physics and zombies, humans and Aiden fly through the air like nothing. You can't throw weapons here, stomp on zombies' heads, my favorite two-legged kick is basically useless and difficult to use here. Overall the skills here are boring and useless.… Expand

    Game has fantastic story telling and the gameplay is a fresh new take from the great original. Most peoples complaints are the bugs but it is now day 3 and they have released many bug fixes which have made the game a smooth sailing experience which is a joy to play and I hope you will enjoy it aswell reading this!

    A very good game, I like every element, and the most unique is parkour, combat, music. Villedor looks very good and has a great atmosphere in the city especially at night. Without revealing too much of the plot at night there is an adrenaline rush and a chase element which gives a lot of satisfaction. It's just a good game, I had no bugs, time well spent.

    The game is very fun, Easter Egg is quite a lot, free running is somewhat smoother than the first picture gives us a lot of freedom, plus the soundtrack also fits the rhythm of us running or fighting, this one is very good, 10 out of 100, who is it? Dying light fans, you won't be disappointed.

    Great parkour and battle system, but poor graphics and very different story telling from very bed to good. Slow upgrade system and a lot of copy paste side quests.

    But the is something that works and that is an atmosphere! Soundtrack! Level design and environments look great even with this not next-gen picture.

I spend so many hours playing first part and second one does not disappoint me at all! It runs great on my PC, steady 75 fps, looks great and only had one issue so far with keyboard vs controller but it's fixed now. Horrible parkour animations, sometimes the main character's limbs are torn off, sometimes he teleports (maybe it's just me), climbing the ventilation system is just complete crap. Horrible interface elements that only emphasize that you're playing some MMO project, oh yeah right, not far from the truth when 50% of the gameplay is about gathering, farming and crafting. There are just a ton of bugs, too many of them, crashes in the world, crashes when choosing dialogues, the main character can fall somewhere or get accidentally stuck. The open world itself does not shine with uniqueness, you still go exactly the same route, to the same sometimes the surrounding world feels like made of clay, when the same initial house walls feel as if they were glued to each other in a hurry. There is no balance in the game, passed on High difficulty and did not feel any challenges from the game, zombies as flying away as dummies in the beginning, and fly away at the end. Promised choice in story dialogues? HA! (Spoiler) No matter what you do, no matter what you choose, and there is no meaning behind all your actions, and at the end you stupidly have to choose which side you're on, that's it.

    Does this game deserve a score of 7-8/10? No, it's a crude, unfinished product which in terms of story, gameplay and animation is x2 times worse than the first part. What the hell, this game was famous for physics in its own way, and here we are like in Crash Bandicoot flying around the city with a piece of cloth and air from the vents so conveniently scattered around the city.

    Developers, don't be fooled by these **** who didn't bring the language, your game is a logical development of the first part, in the second you improved everything, something to a lesser extent, the game pulls 9 points unambiguously, for the heavy atmosphere, the screams of people who are torn apart by zombies, excellent parkour and a normal plot, thanks to the developers for the game

Haven't played far enough in the story to really know how much of an impact my choices have - so far I'm enjoying the storyline, but agrees that Aiden is a bit boring lmao.

    I wish there was weapon repairs tho, but maybe a bit more balanced than the first game. Here, your weapon breaks to fast, in the first game it lasted too long. (in my opinion) Overall a really good experience with room for some improvements.     I love the game guys. Parkour and combat so fun. Also love skill tree. I literally play 45 hours that game and i focused side missions or activitys . Yeah i see bugs but not game broken stuff. I hear so much denuvo problem but honestly i did not get problem at all. My gpu RTX 3070 and and other specs 32 gb ram ryzen 5 3600x. Also game installed on gen4 ssd. 2k ultra setting and dlssI love the game guys. Parkour and combat so fun. Also love skill tree. I literally play 45 hours that game and i focused side missions or activitys . Yeah i see bugs but not game broken stuff. I hear so much denuvo problem but honestly i did not get problem at all. My gpu RTX 3070 and and other specs 32 gb ram ryzen 5 3600x. Also game installed on gen4 ssd. 2k ultra setting and dlss quality mode game give me 100-80 fps sometimes even more.     The game has very poor optimization, on a ryzen 5 2600 processor, and a 1660ti video card, the game constantly slows down, gives out 30-47 fps. The game requires constant activation of Denuvo, if you restart the computer, the activation disappears.

    1. Co-op is completely broken (literally can't even click the button)
    2. Controller buttons/actions just stop working randomly
    3. Practically every mission has game breaking bugs forcing you to start a new save
    4. The amount of motion blur is ridiculous. Horrible graphical glitches. Horrible performance.
    5. Entire game is a downgrade from DL1

    Played only few hours so far, but love the city design, especially rooftops; indoor apartments seem a bit repetitive though... Plays smoothly 4K on my 1080Ti. Quests are ok, has a strong vibe of DL1, enjoying it so far.

    Despite all my complaints, I initially had fun with Dying Light 2. The first quarter of the game was engaging. I think if the rest of the game played like this, I would have way more positive things to say, but the fact is that it’s just not done. This is clearly an unfinished game mired in mismanagement. I don’t blame the developers at all; the leaders and executives behind this work are responsible. What works here is clean and well done, albeit with some boring AAA niceties. After the first quarter or so, though, the game absolutely falls apart in almost every respect. I’m sad for what was produced here, but if I’m being honest, I’m more sad that I invested nearly thirty hours of my own time into this. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

    There is fun to be had here, but aside from a few moments of joyous parkour, it's the sort of fun you can have in dozens of other open-world games. There is certainly some added fun in co-op with a couple of friends, but in a world where we get another open-world game every week, I just cannot recommend anyone go out and buy Dying Light 2 at full price. Especially not when it came out right before Horizon: Forbidden West and Elden Ring, both of which look far more promising.
