    Overall game is pretty good. It has it's flawls. One of them for sure it's denuvo and mediocre lore. But still gameplay wise and the RPG aspect of the game make it really enjoyable.

    Btw how childish you could be when game is coming out without your language dubbing and you are soo offended that u need to review booming it...     Awesome game. Perfect for any RPG lovers or lovers of Dying Light 1. Capatalizing on the amazing first person free running aspects of the first game and expanding into an even larger skill list.

    Dying Light 2 is larger and more atmospheric than its predecessor and therefore offers exactly what fans of part 1 want. There are better RPGs with better stories and better combat mechanics, but there are too few games like Dying Light 2, which focus on clumsy action and wonderfully smooth gameplay

    When I heard we were finally going to get DL2, I was stoked, I thought Techland would smooth out the combat and give us a compelling story that the first game truly deserved, and when I heard Chris Avellone (Fallout New Vegas & Witcher 3) was on board, I thought this was it, this game will go from great to phenomenal. 2018 E3 rolls around and gives us a 40 minute demo showing some incredible visuals, decent combat, some brand new story branching elements, and even some map changes depending on your "choices".

    Hey, to any gamer out there that has paid attention to the industry in the last 7 years... guess what happened next? 2018 E3 Trailer was a lie, the project turned into a woke political fest, there was major infighting during the development, the game was being overhauled, Avellone was fired for sexual misconduct allegations from 8 years prior, the game fell into development hell, came back out, got re-worked, has no sense of direction, release date pushed back a year or more, and finally gets this release. Do you still think it has a chance at being good?

    No, poor optimization, terrible writing, keybinding issues, quest breaking bugs, co-op doesn't work for quite a few people, cross-play which was promised initially is out, visuals are hit and miss, your choices do not matter, the factions are boring, the combat is the same as DL1, the characters are all uninteresting, the stay human mechanic is just annoying, and sadly the game is just not fun.

    DL1 is a superior experience to this game, so if you have not played that, go back and grab that on sale. The graphics are still solid and the gameplay is actually enjoyable. DL2 is DL1 without any fun. I miss the old grappling hook and swinging around like spider-man, I enjoyed having firearms to ignite barrels with from afar, I thoroughly enjoyed the night-time challenge with the volatiles and the grappling hook parkour, it was fun.

    What happened? My guess is the usual culprit, Politics. Techland hired a bunch of activists who were devoid of talent and were not competent enough to produce a title worth playing. They complained about a "hostile" and "toxic" work environment and wanted to oust the CEO and lead writer.

    Avellone was dismissed after an allegation of sexual misconduct in 2012 (8 years prior to allegation), which was filed by a friend of one of his former partners who was upset about a breakup in 2018? Avellone also countersued the party for false accusations as the claims were never substantiated and he lost work over the last 2 years as a result. Sounds to me like they were lying, just to get him removed.

    Marchewka, Techland's CEO, seems like a bit of an "obtuse" boss, but nothing out of the ordinary to be honest. If these people did not want to work there, they could have just quit, Techland is its own entity, they are not beholden to shareholders like most other developers are, so time crunch, muzzled creativity, and employee retention should not be an issue at all. These employees clearly had an agenda, and could not be satiated.

    Point is, you cannot reboot your game, mid-development cycle, and release a half-baked game that is clearly broken from launch and then patch your way to a completed product over time, that is called "early-access", and on top of that, they have the gall to sell a $129.99 [CAD] deluxe edition with skins. The Denuvo inclusion makes sense now, I would be very afraid of piracy if I released a game in this state.

    Metacritic can allow a million bots to throw 10/10 ratings, but this is not a complete game and it is an insult to fans of the first game. I would give it a 2, but bots gonna bot, so here's a fresh zero. This is not the same Techland from 2015. Politics has reared its head again and destroyed another franchise. Shocker.    … Expand

    Central loop is better than Old town in my opinion but also Old Villador is worse than Slums and they are populated too lowly for my taste.

    A worthy sequel to the best zombie game ever made, I am 50 hours in and loving every minute. The City is beautiful if you have a good machine and it is full of things to do. Whole game is crafted with love and it shows.

    Most of the the negative reviews are from salty Italians who didn't get a voice dub to reduce games install size or actual children who haven't even played the game but have jumped on some absurd hate train from twitch or youtube.

    Very good game, great graphics, nice story, good optimization, but it's still need a fast PC.
    The funniest thing are people **** about optimization, but they still running on bad PC's.
    Read first hardware requirements and the buy.
    Only thing that bothers me are gliches and bugs.
    Overall good game.

    I just love the game. Great graphics, fantastic story line.

    And I'm super glad that there's Polish voice instead of spaghetti language :)

    From writing standpoint alone, Days Gone is miles ahead of this game. Days Gone has more depth, more natural dialogue, more interesting world design, better graphics and so on. Why i'm even mentioning Days Gone is the fact how big downgrade Days Gone 2 really is in terms of open world zombie games over the years. It's even worse than DL1 in many areas.

Parkour gets old in 2 hours, story is awful, characters forgettable at best, there's pretty much no horror in this horror game.     In my opinions this game is awesome. It upgraded everything from first game and added some new awesome f.e night activities. Some sidequest are go here and take it but story behind this is good.

    10/10 playability 11/10 parkour 10/10 optimalization ( I can play highest setting with gtx 1660 s and intel 5-8400 with 60-70fps and from suggested setting i should go medium )    In my opinions this game is awesome.     Absolutely awful game, maybe one of the worst i have ever player. Bad graphics, jumping on zombies has so physics compared to DL1, awful story, boring characters, city looks bland and boring. This is most generic bad game i have ever seen. Avoid at all cost!

    Dying light 1 with all datadisks was superb and this another masterpiece is superb too.
    Can't believe how they did it, that game is awesome and beautiful - story, characters etc.
    I am so speechless...

    A really brave sequel by techland. All the good points of DL1 have been pulled up a level higher. Of course it's not perfect but I'm hoping for quick improvements. The fact that there is no other game like DL on the market is what makes it special.

    While playing this game, I couldn't get out of my mind how beautiful the Polish language sounds in the post-apocalyptic world. Luckily they didn't add some other language that has a lot to do with Mario and pizza, because it would only spoil the atmosphere. Thank you Techland.

    Dying Light 2 is a great game and an excellent successor to the original. The graphics are great and the story is entertaining however the game is not perfect. I ran into a few visual bugs and experienced a few crashes but the worst part is easily the final boss fight. The fight has 4 stages and is just horrible.

    Dying Light 2 plays and looks AWESOME. Parkour is smooth and freedom of movement amazes me. It's a pleasure to watch the city and run through it. Personally I love all the small details that were prepared with care and random encounters with citizens living their lives. This game has also a HUUUGE amount of easter eggs and references to everything.

    Really good game.
    I am playing on GTX 970 - full hd on medium setting and i have c.a. 60 fps.
    The graphics and plot maybe is not fantastic but due to great gameplay it is not that important.

    My CPU usage is around 30% so i don't feel any impact of Denuvo.

    But i played in german and the dub is absolutely low effort and bad. It was okay in DL 1 Kyle was actually really good . But DL 2? Hell no. Switched to english better but for an AAA Game.....well.....

    Dying Light 1 was one of my favorite titles and was different in its own, I wouldn't expect DL2 to be a copy/paste.

    Dying Light 2 is sometimes repetitive, but I feel the gameplay and overall feel of the environment really pushes it past common issues (devs will probably fix soon anyways).     This game is definitely a gem of 2022. The plot is not thrilling, but there are highly rated games where it is worse. Graphics are epic, mechanics could be better - but they are ok. The romance of the main character with some woman is missing. The main storyline could be longer, but it's still longer than the messiah of gaming CP2077. The best zombie game since Days Gone

    The only problem I have with this game is graphics. Some textures leave much to be desired, but other than that I have no major complaints about this game. Parkour is fluid and enjoyable, combat is very satisfying and some death animations are just insane. The story may be a bit cliche and predictable, but overall I consider it to be really good.     It'd a damn good game but it has some issues. The main problem is the story - the construction of it is misconseptive and unfortunetly your choices don't come together at the right moment, feel like they don't matter at all, and you really don't develop any bonds with so generic characters.

    So the actors generously endowed with these type of text either nailed it (Aiden) or meh or there was something like Hermann (I have a suspicion that he read the script and was like "Hey guys maybe make my character deaf and spare me this opportunity allright?")
    Animations sometimes work, sometimes don't, there are many bugs to be resolved by devs.
    Gameplay is fantastic, parkour mechanics, fighting system - after couple of hours in a game it just clicks and you want MORE and MORE and MORE and MORE (SUPER...HOT...SUPER...HOT) - which of course is strictly tied to skill system that feels really rewarding and well measured.
    Side quests are fun like a piñata - those mini-stories were so much better than a main one.
    Art-style presented at E3 was superior to the looks of final product but I mean... it's still gorgeus
    Graphics is not top tier by any means, and optimalization is 5/10 (PC)/but music is memorable and sound effects are crispy and enjoyable.
    Some changes like risk at night, lack of guns (but there is a bow and a spears), Weapon upgrade system, crafting etc. - Opinions about it are arbitrary for example most folks didn't play at night in DL1 and now folks complain because it is too easy and they don't feel pressure - i mean you can't both have a cookie and eat a cookie

    It's a very fun game, the most of it can be repaired within a year, and I have complete trust in Techland that it's going to be 2 points better - but for now - it is what it is.    … Expand

    Very solid game. Gameplay is insane, graphics really nice. Quite immersive world in general. The writing is a bit better than typical Techland story.

The controls feel twitchy and inaccurate. For normal gameplay it is okay, but climbing a tall building or tower can be very frustrating when you fall to your death being almost at the top due to bad, inaccurate controls.     If yoiu're picking up the game or reviewing based on an hour of gameplay you're going to have a bad time, Its an RPG the more skills you obtain the more fun you will have. Starts out slow and just continues to climb throughout the game.

    My only complaint is how far into the game you need to get the best and most fun Nightrunner tool.

    Despite all my complaints, I initially had fun with Dying Light 2. The first quarter of the game was engaging. I think if the rest of the game played like this, I would have way more positive things to say, but the fact is that it’s just not done. This is clearly an unfinished game mired in mismanagement. I don’t blame the developers at all; the leaders and executives behind this work are responsible. What works here is clean and well done, albeit with some boring AAA niceties. After the first quarter or so, though, the game absolutely falls apart in almost every respect. I’m sad for what was produced here, but if I’m being honest, I’m more sad that I invested nearly thirty hours of my own time into this. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

    There is fun to be had here, but aside from a few moments of joyous parkour, it's the sort of fun you can have in dozens of other open-world games. There is certainly some added fun in co-op with a couple of friends, but in a world where we get another open-world game every week, I just cannot recommend anyone go out and buy Dying Light 2 at full price. Especially not when it came out right before Horizon: Forbidden West and Elden Ring, both of which look far more promising.
