    Honestly, watching all the negative reviews is actually sad. It's full of angry Italians because their language is not dubbed in the game, full of players raging at Denuvo or mindless one line reviews hating on one aspect of the game(lets say combat) and all of them giving it instantly a 0/10. People don't know how to write a genuine review and that's annoying. The game is great so far,Honestly, watching all the negative reviews is actually sad. The game is great so far, parkour is amazing and fluid, especially when you understand how it fully works, combat is a bit clunky against zombies and doesn't feel as good and impactful as the first game and campaign is intriguing. If story doesn't turn out great it's fine, I'm here for the gameplay. I know Techland will listen to the fans and fix the physics and improve the gameplay in the future, because they actually care and have passion for their game.… Expand

    Officially, the gaming community today is the stupidest ever. The game according to Italians deserves a 0/10 rating as there is no language available for them. This is just one disadvantage that does not affect the gameplay. The game itself is great, a good game worth attention has finally come out for over a year

    I love everything about this game. Gameplay doesn't feel repetitive and is actually very addictive. Movement is so polished and smooth. Just a joy to master. Graphics are amazing. Maxed out raytracing setting on RTX3090 that is. Lighting with this setting feels really next gen and makes most of the modern AAA games look like cartoon. Story wise it's pretty decent actually and fitsI love everything about this game. Gameplay doesn't feel repetitive and is actually very addictive. Movement is so polished and smooth. Story wise it's pretty decent actually and fits atmosphere and the world quiet nicely and makes me wanna know what comes next. Overall to me this one is much better than the first one and the size of it and the depth are quiet surprising. Few small technical bugs I've noticed: the game looks too blurry in motion with DLSS enabled. Had to set sharpness slider to 70 as this is the only value that produced kinda similar image standing still vs moving. But it looks a bit oversharpen as result. Hope devs fix this and make DLSS quality look less blurry in motion so we don't have to crank up sharpness as high. Then there are ghosting trails behind some moving objects from time to time (this is with DLSS enabled as well). Something off with motion vectors I guess as pointed by Digital Foundry as well in their video. But overall it's a great experience still and real joy to play! Playing in downtown now with all those tall buildings with many walkable floors and overall geometry complexity and just looks and feels like the most dense, beautiful and complex level and environment design in games to date. And the performance is quiet smooth. No stutter no nothing considering what's on display. Great job Techland!

    Oh and flashlight shadows of course. Really hope devs will add them in. Currently shadowless flashlight is the weakest portion of the game presentation. Unfortunately 50% of the game happening in the dark and flashlight looks really outdated compare to all other graphical features on display. Whoever made this decision disabling flashlight shadows was wrong    … Expand

    This game is definitely a gem of 2022. The plot is not thrilling, but there are highly rated games where it is worse. Graphics are epic, mechanics could be better - but they are ok. The romance of the main character with some woman is missing. The main storyline could be longer, but it's still longer than the messiah of gaming CP2077. The best zombie game since Days Gone

    A very fun good, much improved compared to the first part. Beautiful scenery and super flowing parkour with free exploration. Additionally, a story with different endings! Super game! Im really love it! Ps. Most people gives 0 because game has denuvo and no Italian - no comment :/

    A not so short review from an "omnivore" player (I play every kind of games and some of them at a competitive level). On top of that, I am Italian (which seems to matter recently given the review bombing from Italians).

    First off, I find the game really fun, I am enjoying it a lot so far and playing it at max details is a joy for the eyes - most of the times.     First off, I find the game really fun, I am enjoying it a lot so far and playing it at max details is a joy for the eyes - most of the times. RTX implementation is also truly great and makes you feel immersed and scared af, bringing back the DL1 nights feelings (which, trust me on this, is much lessened without ray tracing). Kudos on the dev team for delivering it at launch. Art direction, sound, gameplay loop, level design, combat, parkour, they are overall well implemented, which is impressive considering Techland is quite a small company compared to most of the big IPs working on triple A games. You can definitely feel their passion and dedication in DL2.

    On top of that, I believe most people are forgetting a crucial aspect of why a lot of games have been failing recently, which I believe is a MAJOR cause of troubles: Covid 19.
    Whoever works into software development, IT and production (and I do) would know how hard Covid hit us: even if development and co-work tools have evolved during the last years, being forced to work from home made creating quality code, bug free and aligned with design/art vision much harder than before, while direct interaction and in person meetings made the process much easier (and quicker too, imo). The whole development pipeline has suffered quite a lot by how hard it has been to keep a consistent workflow due to people getting sick or having their relatives/parents getting sick, as well as the giant psychological impact us, our kids and our generations suffered/suffer/will suffer due to Covid (depression, lack of motivations, lack of social interations).

    Looking at all the recent video games release delays or release issues (which I won't mention but that could be easily discovered through an internet search), seeing Dying Light 2 running quite well should be perceived as a great accomplishment. BRAVI!

    That said, it is clear the game would have benefitted by 6 extra months of polishing on pretty much every game aspect: models/textures, player animations/interactions with the environment, bugs, UX/UI QoL improvements. All things that could easily be fixed with more time. And, among them, a complete Italian implementation (even if just through subtitles): while it is clear that not fully dubbing the game was an intentional choice (which I can't understand due to the first game being translated fully...but they surely do have a reason for that), I don't understand why even the subtitles seem to be incomplete: all the encounters and the random NPCs you find through the single player experience don't have Italian subs (or if they do, they are all bugged and don't pop out), which is quite disappointing considering how interesting some of the stories told are. I fully understand English but a lot of Italians do not, and I think it would be a good sign if Techland moved into the direction of completing at least the subtitles implementation.

    All in all I still enjoy the game and Techland showed an incredible support on DL1, which is why I got the ultimate version of DL2 and why I have no doubts they will quickly fix everything.
    I also don't think a lot of Italians are truly explaining why the lack of Italian dubbing is so important to us: since the beginning of the movies era Italy had a major role into movies production and movies dubbing: Cinecittà studios in Rome were THE place to make movies, as known as Hollywood in the US. Italian dubbing schools are old and famous for having incredible talents that could transfer movies emotions even more than the original actors. That's also why it may probably be much more expensive to dub Italian movies/games than in another language. For us Italians, Italian dubbing is something serious.

    I know it would cost quite a lot but, if possible and if the game sells as much as it seems to be doing right now, it would be cool considering a full Italian translation/dubbing in DL2, many Italian fans would love it!

    Świety tutuł. Największym plusem jest brak dubbingu w języku włoskim. Mam nadzieję, że w najbliższym patchu usuną też włoskie napisy i będzie gra idealna.

    But I can't understand all the hating and the racism for the Italians, I read embarrassing reviews (written by single-celled beings) insulting Italians and Italy (also saying a lot of **** and clichés) And it's just embarrassing, in 2022 still throwing **** over something like this, I'm losing faith in humanity

    I love this game. The sense of freedom and the random stuff that happens all the time is just a lot of fun to be part of. It feels like a real place when you are jumping around the rooftops. And the parkour is fantastic. Immerses you in the world in ways I don't think I've ever been in any other game. I feel like I am flying when I play the game.

    Only downside is the weapon system. All    I love this game. The sense of freedom and the random stuff that happens all the time is just a lot of fun to be part of. It feels like a real place when you are jumping around the rooftops. And the parkour is fantastic. Immerses you in the world in ways I don't think I've ever been in any other game. I feel like I am flying when I play the game.

    Only downside is the weapon system. All weapons break quite easily (can last for about 20 minutes with random enemy encounters). But you quickly learn that you can experiment a lot more because of it as you will simply buy new ones that fit your play style.

La musica del juego es 10/10 hermosa desde el principio al fin encima si vas haciendo combos de parkour te empieza a sonar una musica que dependiendo de lo que hagas cambiará.

    DL2 is not a 10 but you have to compensate for the amounts of unfair 0s in Metacritic.

    While the narrative is not the best, some animations are worse than DL1 and not the best optimization this game is still a must play with tons of hours to get lost in this post apocalyptic world.

    RDR2 has a 6.4 in Metacritic, just saying.

    dying light 2 to my surprise exceeded my expectations on so many levels. in my opinion it is a massive upgrade from the first game here is why:

    1- incredible parkour 2- amazing story which actually gave me goosebumps at times 3- ambiance is a solid 10/10 4- combat got a massive upgrade on so many aspects 5- the environment and NPCs in general received some well needed upgrades    dying light 2 to my surprise exceeded my expectations on so many levels. in my opinion it is a massive upgrade from the first game here is why:

    1- incredible parkour
    2- amazing story which actually gave me goosebumps at times
    3- ambiance is a solid 10/10
    4- combat got a massive upgrade on so many aspects
    5- the environment and NPCs in general received some well needed upgrades

    sure the game has some bugs and minor issues but i know for a fact that Techland will deal with the issues at hand as soon as possible. this is why i gave this game a solid 10/10    … Expand

    A worthy sequel to the best zombie game ever made, I am 50 hours in and loving every minute. The City is beautiful if you have a good machine and it is full of things to do. Whole game is crafted with love and it shows.

    Game is Very Good. Taking some of the best parts from the original and spinning it into something new yet not too radically different.
    Some of the good:
    - Parkour very solid and unique ( almost everything can be interacted with) - Gameplay - Pretty Interesting Characters - 4 Player Co op - Good solid Map to explore Mixed Feelings: -Respawn system isnt great -weapons can't be    Game is Very Good.     - Factions system poorly designed

    - Choices don't have as much of an effect as I hoped

    BAD:
    - Denuvo being here is pretty disappointing (pirates will get the better end game again)

    The only problem I have with this game is graphics. Some textures leave much to be desired, but other than that I have no major complaints about this game. Parkour is fluid and enjoyable, combat is very satisfying and some death animations are just insane. The story may be a bit cliche and predictable, but overall I consider it to be really good.     I think either you hate the game, or you love it. Some ppl maybe riding that CDPR hate wave. Really weird, but I guess some ppl just have got a lot of hate stored in them. Probably didn't even play the game. Whatever. Have a nice day :)

    Every other aspect is nice. Side Quests funny as usual. New interesting missions besides Story and side quests. A bit repetitive overtime but fun to play.     Dying Light 1 was one of my favorite titles and was different in its own, I wouldn't expect DL2 to be a copy/paste.

    Dying Light 2 is sometimes repetitive, but I feel the gameplay and overall feel of the environment really pushes it past common issues (devs will probably fix soon anyways).     Минус игры всего один, это даунгрейд графики от 2018/2019 vs retail. Оговорка про баги, сейчас это так тупо судить когда выходит игра, скажите какая вышла ааа без багов, причём тут их мало они все почти сетевые, за 37 часов игры игра не вылетела у нас(играем в 3ем) ниразу! Runs very well in 4K + DLSS performance and RT maxed out and is extremely stable (didn't have a single crash yet). Especially in HDR, thanks to "Special K" SDR to HDR conversion, it looks even better.

    Giving it a 10 because of the review bombing. The game actually deserves an 8 in my opinion. The story of the main character is underwhelming but the world story can hold itself. The combat is very good and the parkour is great. Sure, there are some features missing and there are some balance issues, but the game as a whole is pretty good and can only improve.

    Bardzo cieszę się gra nie jest zaśmiecona językiem włoskim. Dodanie języka polskiego było właściwym wyborem. Niech włosi lepiej nauczą się najpierw szacunku do kobiet, a później grać w gry.

    If yoiu're picking up the game or reviewing based on an hour of gameplay you're going to have a bad time, Its an RPG the more skills you obtain the more fun you will have. Starts out slow and just continues to climb throughout the game.

    My only complaint is how far into the game you need to get the best and most fun Nightrunner tool.

    There are several not very critical bugs. Otherwise, a great game. I am not disappointed. Unfortunately, this is a rarity these days. Special thanks for the full Russian localization. This is also a rarity these days.

    Great parkour and battle system, but poor graphics and very different story telling from very bed to good. Slow upgrade system and a lot of copy paste side quests.

    But the is something that works and that is an atmosphere! Soundtrack! Level design and environments look great even with this not next-gen picture.

    Very fun game, has it's flaws definitely like the bugs, not a big fan of the immunity timer or no manual saves but gameplay is just too fun. If you like the first dying light, you'll like this one.

    Despite all my complaints, I initially had fun with Dying Light 2. The first quarter of the game was engaging. I think if the rest of the game played like this, I would have way more positive things to say, but the fact is that it’s just not done. This is clearly an unfinished game mired in mismanagement. I don’t blame the developers at all; the leaders and executives behind this work are responsible. What works here is clean and well done, albeit with some boring AAA niceties. After the first quarter or so, though, the game absolutely falls apart in almost every respect. I’m sad for what was produced here, but if I’m being honest, I’m more sad that I invested nearly thirty hours of my own time into this. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

    There is fun to be had here, but aside from a few moments of joyous parkour, it's the sort of fun you can have in dozens of other open-world games. There is certainly some added fun in co-op with a couple of friends, but in a world where we get another open-world game every week, I just cannot recommend anyone go out and buy Dying Light 2 at full price. Especially not when it came out right before Horizon: Forbidden West and Elden Ring, both of which look far more promising.
