    In order to reach the Dead King's crypt to save your brother from being sacrificed you'll need to solve puzzles, evade traps and fight a bunch of enemies. There are scrolls to decipher, levers to pull, floor plates to step on, fireballs to evade, doors to smash or to unlock, and a whole lot of enemies to kill. But while Zombies or Dread Beetles are easy prey, a lot of other creatures from Ogres to Dark Elves, Minotaurs and Dragons will require more than just brute force to be overcome.    … Expand

    Dungeons of Dreadrock is a bite-sized game that I’m sure would work perfectly as a bit of entertainment while waiting for a bus or train on its native mobile platform. However, it’s also great on the PC version as something to gently work out your brain while enjoying the fun narrative and very vibrant pixel-art graphics. This innovative puzzler combines clever yet accessible puzzles with a dash of humour to create a very enjoyable experience. Instead of just putting square pegs into round holes, you genuinely have to think outside the box, and finding the solution is always surprising and entertaining. Dreadrock is a dungeon well worth delving into.

    Despite how daunting 100 puzzles might sound, Dungeons of Dreadrock is a quick and easy experience for any player. You should be able to complete this one in an evening and feel well accomplished.

    Those who start out unsuspecting, relying on RPG captions and promises of "isometric Dungeon Master" will be disappointed, and that's clearly a problem. Still, Dungeons of Dreadrock is a perfectly honest puzzle game, at a very low price.

    The joy of each puzzle comes in stages. A realization of the challenge, the difficulty of grappling with it, and the gratification of solving it. Dungeons of Dreadrock so skillfully executes that gameplay loop in every one of its 100 handcrafted levels. Though the game primarily looks to a mobile audience, the clunky UI can’t get in the way of the colorful sprites and inventive puzzles Dreadrock offers, leaving a short and sweet experience I would happily come back to for 100 more floors.

    Outstanding little RPG, tells a great story (mocks itself quite often).
