    To begin with, i must say that i'm not a doom fan. I didn't play in any of previous games, i dont have things to compare, i dont have nostalgic feelings.
    Doom is kinda a game for a few evenings. It has a simple plot, simple lore, which is made just to create some kind of logic of what are you doing. But, is there needed anything more than it? Definitely not. This is an actionic shooter    To begin with, i must say that i'm not a doom fan. I didn't play in any of previous games, i dont have things to compare, i dont have nostalgic feelings.
    Doom is kinda a game for a few evenings. It has a simple plot, simple lore, which is made just to create some kind of logic of what are you doing. But, is there needed anything more than it? Definitely not. This is an actionic shooter and its 100% about the gameplay. And here i got a little bit dissapointed. To advantages, i must say that it was non-stop action, fast and furious. Medium level of difficulty was idealic for me: it wasnt easy at all, but still i was dying pretty rarely. That is pretty rare for remakes of old games, they are usually as hard as they were in original, and that is why i grateful to devs.
    In opposite, the game become extremely boring in the end, it's like im playing just to see final scene. I think, it should have been little bit shorter. Also, a huge disadvantage for me was this poor map design (i mean the hud). This is very active, fast game. And when you have to make huge pauses, to understand where is my next checkpoint, where is a secret etc. It would be much better, if there were a mini-map with an opportunity to set own markers.

    All-in-all, it was a fun for few nights, i wasnt excited at all in the end and not sure if i ever will play it again. For me its not a "masterpiece", as some people draw it.    … Expand

    The game that revived the franchise, and a damn good one. Now it feels tame compared to ETERNAL, but it's raw combat, and the glory kills, the industrial aesthetic, still make it a unique experience, one that I've loved every single minute since launch.

    Really liked the game, not quite as good as doom eternal in my opinion but still had an absolute blast playing this game.

    This game is an example of how game developеrs should make shooters. Doom is just about killing demons, and it sounds boring but different types of weapons and enemies, different ways to kill the demons will not let you get bored. This game also gives you some challenges to upgrade your weapon, also we got a lot of secrets that are hidden in the level.
    To sum up, Doom is a perfect shooter    This game is an example of how game developеrs should make shooters.     Extremely frantic and fun game and for the price that i got it for 5€ I couldnt ask for more. This game does almost everything well and is very well optimized for PC. The only downsides from what I played were the following:

    - The super shotgun is too OP and once it is fully upgraded you will be using this particular weapon 90% of the time. - I completed the game in on hard difficulty    Extremely frantic and fun game and for the price that i got it for 5€ I couldnt ask for more.     A return to form for id. It's just pure, unadulterated, fast FPS gameplay with extras like secrets, special challenges, throwback levels, and other fun goodies. There are times the game is slowed down somewhat by story or weapon upgrade screens but the combat will keep you coming back to this game. It's a bit challenging but so satisfying to destroy a group of 20+ demons at once onA return to form for id. It's just pure, unadulterated, fast FPS gameplay with extras like secrets, special challenges, throwback levels, and other fun goodies. There are times the game is slowed down somewhat by story or weapon upgrade screens but the combat will keep you coming back to this game.     There are many good things to say about DOOM that I'm genuinely unsure where to start. To keep it simple, DOOM is everything a sci-fi shooter should strive to be without being too extreme while still offering a unique environment to explore and enough monsters to get your fix of action at the same time.

To keep it simple, DOOM is everything a sci-fi shooter should strive to be without being too extreme while still offering a unique environment to explore and enough monsters to get your fix of action at the same time.

    DOOM plays very similarly to Serious Sam and offers a wide variety of weapons and customization similar to the Dead Space series for you to tailor your own experience. The game doesn't try to force you to do anything in particular and you're free to approach fights however you like, although it's recommended to take a more aggressive and active approach over a defensive one. Checkpoints in the game are sometimes a bit unforgiving, which means that if you die, you may be forced to redo an area all over again.

    In essence, DOOM is a game that is better described through actual gameplay than words. It's a bit easy on Normal, but I recommend that difficulty for controller users. You can always tweak the difficulty to your pleasing. The game is definitely more enjoyable with a keyboard and mouse though, and feels more engaging at a higher difficulty. The game is also quite lengthy, always keeping you wondering when you will reach the end.

    DOOM is a hidden gem that many will overlook thinking that it's dark or fearsome, even though it really isn't. I give it an 8 out of 10 for being a magnificently solid arena shooter. I haven't found any reason to rate it a 9 yet, as the game doesn't go the extra mile to deserve it. Regardless, I'm genuinely surprised that Bethesda put out a game as well-made as this, especially since they're not known for arena shooters.

    In terms of issues, the game did freeze a few times for me, which was a little annoying. I experienced two bugs near the end of the game where the game wouldn't progress and would force me to have to waste time redoing fights. The game also stuttered quite often, and the crosshair sensitivity would frequently drop, forcing me to have to drag my mouse to make wide turns.    … Expand

Length is always worry with AAA game like this nowadays since they are full price, but this one delivers for the most part in terms of content and replay value. Not a fan of Mike Dubstep Gordon's soundtrack, and was a much bigger fan of the original Doom and    8.5

    Doom is a great example how to revitalize a franchise and bring it up to speed, keeping it a fun and enjoyable game. Worth a play-through... or a couple. Great fun game.

    This game on ultra-violence 6/10 fun at first but too easy and repetitive by the end.
    This game on nightmare 8/10 challenging, makes you use 100% of your brain all the time I died hundreds of times on my first playthrough and I had more fun than ever.

    Best game of 2016
    Awesome weapons, great demons, great music, great level design, great collectibles.
    My only big problem with this game is that lot of areas look visually samey.

    Doom has got to be my favourite game of the decade.
    It has everything that makes the franchise so good : a fast (even though slower than the 90's iterations) pace, loads of guns, gore and demons, complimented by Mick Gordon's incredible soundtrack.
    Sure, the multiplayer feels a bit off, when compared to the standards set by Quake 3, but good lord it was so much better than any other    Doom has got to be my favourite game of the decade.

    There are a few things that bothered me (three unskippable cutscenes with Samuel Hayden), but the game is incredible fun, amazing graphics and level design, and runs especially well, even on the oldest junk I could find.

    Классный хардкорный шутан, с хорошей стрельбой, разнообразными монстрами, сюжета особого нет, но он и не нужен в думе, просто бери дрободан и кромсай демонов. Локации на поверхности марса и в аду довольно однообразные, что немного приедается, но игра все равно не длинная, так что до конца арены надоесть не успевают. Так же наблюдаются проблемы с балансом, т.е в начале игры ты страдаешь, аКлассный хардкорный шутан, с хорошей стрельбой, разнообразными монстрами, сюжета особого нет, но он и не нужен в думе, просто бери дрободан и кромсай демонов. Так же наблюдаются проблемы с балансом, т.е в начале игры ты страдаешь, а по мере получения новых пушек ты уже нагибатор 2000, умереть рил сложно, начиная с середины игры, сложность возвращается только в самой последней миссии, там уже да, жестко. Еще один очень сомнительный момент в игре - это боссы, они очень простые, а от того и унылые, ни разу не умер ни на одном из боссов из-за того, что у них очень примитивные атаки и мувсет, ну и сами по себе они не интересные . Графон даже для 2016 г такой себе, есть кнш неплохие пейзажи, но это уже арт-дизайнеры постарались, сами же текстурки тот еще палеозой. Но игра прежде всего про геймплей, а он здесь просто шикарен, ничего похоже и близко нет, брутально, мясисто и кроваво, каеф.… Expand

    Doom is a good reboot of the franchise. Great gameplay is marred by a very dull level design for the second half of the entire game. And some replayability is questionable.

    Still a good game to check out if you dont like fps

    First Doom game I've played so I went into this as a virgin and came out with Doom 2016 being my favorite first person shooter I've ever played. It isn't a typical first person shooter by any means, and kinda spits in the face of modern gaming tropes. Really refreshing. I loved this and look forward to playing Doom Eternal if I ever get the time.

    Their is no reason what so ever to buy a game for $80 install all the drivers and updates and find out your Bluetooth Airpods ( That work with every game, movie and song on your computer) do not work with Doom Eternal. I spent 2 hours trying to troubleshoot the game. Listen, I am not paying $80 to trouble shoot THEIR game. My Airpods work fine with the latest Resident Evil 3 demo releaseTheir is no reason what so ever to buy a game for $80 install all the drivers and updates and find out your Bluetooth Airpods ( That work with every game, movie and song on your computer) do not work with Doom Eternal.     I'm so glad I refunded this, not because of just the audio but the other reviews are kind of an eye opener of what was to come after this first problem.

    Incredible soundtrack and flow gameplay. The doomslayer is badass and makes sure to let his presence be known to the demons he is pummeling. The feel of this game is absurdly great, as you go from bashing one demon's skull in to cracking the spine of another.

    No lengthy review required. Just buy it and play it (preferably on PC). Rip and tear until it is done.

    Id Software knocked it out of the park. Honestly, I don't remember the last time I felt this good playing an FPS on PC. Butter-smooth framerates on aging hardware and no bugs or issues whatsoever. I cannot wait for DOOM Eternal.

    I adore this game and it's exceptional -- even better than its sequel DOOM Eternal in many ways I think (story/lore/context/atmosphere/immersion).

    Simply put, if you're a fan of single player FPS games/action games, I think this is for you. One of my all time favorites and worth playing along with its recent sequel.

    "All you do is paa pew baam boom! What's the point? It's waste of time!" is what my father used to say about shooters when I was a kid and I would always have argument about there being more than that but if he said that for this game I'd have to agree because DOOM 2016 is just another mind-numbing title in DOOM series.

    Doom is a first person shooter, continuation of the legendary series of the same name. I really love the original doom from the nineties, I have so much great memories of playing it as a kid. Honestly, I thought the game would shorter, so I was positively surprised. The graphics is really beautiful and suits the doom world perfectly. Also, the game font is very nice. The soundtrack is just fantastic: pure heavy metal and sometimes variations on the original doom music. The Introduction of the glory kill makes the combat even more fun and forces you to move through the battlefield more. The second highest difficulty was perfect for me throughout the whole game. No microtransactions, no SJW crap.

    Just pure fun, this is what an FPS game should be like. Final Verdict: 88 %    … Expand

    Too good, but its not perfect. My personal problem is that, its not fast pased enough... Would like too see it get better in Eternal and i think it will.

    If you miss Doom, you miss what I anticipate to be one of two most important first person shooters of 2016. The classic returns in great shape, with all its vital elements intact. Give the campaign some time to pick up speed and it will pump your veins full of adrenaline. [07/2016, p.38]
