    Qué coño, Doom es lo que un FPS tiene que ser, loco, rápido, lleno de acción, adrenalina. Gráficos brutales y un balance en la dificultad que aunque parezca que vayas de sobrado está para recordarte que estás a un error de la cuneta. Doom ha venido a recordar 10 años después del 3 lo que es un shooter, a dar un repaso a las películas con tiros que nos venden. Y eso es muy jodido, Doom esQué coño, Doom es lo que un FPS tiene que ser, loco, rápido, lleno de acción, adrenalina. Gráficos brutales y un balance en la dificultad que aunque parezca que vayas de sobrado está para recordarte que estás a un error de la cuneta. Doom ha venido a recordar 10 años después del 3 lo que es un shooter, a dar un repaso a las películas con tiros que nos venden. Y eso es muy jodido, Doom es un espejo y una guía sobre lo que tiene que ser un puto juego de tiros. No hay putas cinemáticas de 10 minutos, no hay mecánicas avanzadas que aprender, no hay nada que te distraiga de lo que tienes que hacer: dar hostias a cascoporro hasta llegar al final. Gameplay y adrenalina puros, nada más. Además el coleccionismo, los upgrades, y la exploración están ahí para el que quiera darle cera, y si solo te interesa desmembrar demonios y la sangre se disfruta igual. El juego dura unas 15h, dependiendo de cómo lo quieras jugar y hostias, siempre hacia arriba. Cuando no crees que puede haber una batalla más épica, PLAS, un power-up de berserk, música heavy electrónica y a matar. Y qué decir de la BSO. Brutal, como un guante.

    The fact that the reviewers are giving this game such a negative review makes me sick. This is the most fun I've had playing a game in a LONG TIME. Sure it doesn't innovate, but it never claimed it was going to be innovative. I mean come on... its a reboot!

    Finally I finished the single player part of game.
    It's been a long time until any FPS game was so impressive. When you play it, you not just want to finish the game, you want to open all secrets, get all upgrades, try it on harder difficulty. And play it again and again, because it's very enjoyable to kill in DOOM.

    Multiplayer is good, but some details can de improved.
    With all of that, you also get SnapMap when you can create and publish your own content and enjoy content of other players.
    This is true masterpiece, must have for all who loves brutal FPS games etc.

    Doom is a breath of fresh air to the single player FPS, though not perfect 2016 Doom revives the old school arcade shooter in the modern era very well. Killing demons is still very satisfying and the controls are almost perfect. The story is even interesting and there is hardly any dialog in the game. The graphics look great but the same colors are repeated a little to much. The weapons are fun to use especially the chainsaw and the BFG and I really enjoy the fatality like kills when you do a certain amount of damage to a enemy. The campaign by itself is a 9.7/10 but there is the other mode..... The multiplayer. Having played the game in the alpha and the beta I was aware for a while the multiplayer was going to suck. For some reason it went for a call of duty route instead of a quake one and it makes no sense. The whole mode is bland and boring and brings nothing new to the table. This sadly brings the game down for me but in the end I will be coming back to this game not for the multiplayer but the amazing single player campaign. There is also a map maker called snapmap that works fairly well but due to the bad Multiplayer I found it kind of pointless and I didn't see a whole lot of creative levels made with it sadly. Overally Doom is a very good game but is only a proper multiplayer away from becoming another classic in ID software's library of games. 8.5/10 -Infinite… Expand

    BOOM SMASH DIEEEEE DEMONS DIEEEEEEE WHILE I LISTEN TO THIS AWESOME MUSIC. That is pretty much Doom in a nutshell. Its does justice to its heritage, its actually many gamer´s wet dream, you know, when people say just remake this old game with new graphics and a few tweaks which EXACTLY what happened here.     This is a good fps , there are variety of daemons, weapons and those classic doom levels. My only complain are the levels that are some kind of repetitive. But overall it is an entertaining first person shooter.

    Story: There is a portal open from hell which allows demons to pass through to the human world on Mars. You –Being the doom slayer– are tasked closing the portal and eradicating any demons that stand in your way. I’m not going to go any deeper to avoid any spoilers; but there minor plot twists in the story that make it over all serviceable. It’s not the best story but it is good enough. But then again who plays Doom for the story?

    Graphics: The graphics in the game are amazing; everything from the reflection to the light FX is simply stunning. The textures are very fleshed out and top notch, there are no jagged edges and the blood effects look nice.
    There are plenty of graphical setting to tinker with for you to get the best mixture of beauty and performance; overall the game is a joy to look at. Not only that, it’s not very demanding. I was able to get over 100FPS on my rig with no drops whatsoever. id software did a wonderful job with the optimization.

    Sound: WOW. The audio in this game is nothing short of jaw dropping. Mick Gordon – Who also composed the soundtrack for Wolfenstein – never fails to impress. Even though I don’t listen to heavy metal music (or any type of metal/rock) I couldn’t stop myself from head-banging while in the midst of the action. It’s just spectacular.
    The sound FX are splendid as well, be it the sound of the weapons (especially the heavy assault rifle and the chainsaw), the sound of the enemy demons or the surround sound system; they are all top notch.

    Gameplay: Blood. Gore. Adrenaline rush. Insane fun
    That sums this game up to a tee. Running around a small arena ripping through demons in the goriest ways possible never gets old. I love how the game puts emphasis on having to juggle through your weapons to find the one that best suits the current situation; you’ll have to use 3-4 different weapons in each combat scenario to make it through (on the higher difficulties, at least).
    The glory kill in the game – which are ways to execute enemies after dealing enough damage to them and staggering them – are as good as advertised, especially when facing a bigger demon, it bring ‘The bigger they are, the harder they fall’ into life.
    There are also power-ups that you can use and they are a ton of fun, especially the Berserk which temporarily strips you of your gun, but turns your fists to one hit kill hammers of justice.
    The weapons/Praetor Suit upgrade system is simple yet robust. All the suit upgrades were helpful and only a few weapon mods felt unnecessary. There are two ways to get upgrade points for your gear: one is to kill as many demons as possible, and the second is to find secrets that are scattered all across the map, making map exploration a must if you want to get all the upgrades; which will help you enjoy the game even more and will be necessary on the higher difficulties.

    Minor negatives: I did encounter some crashes while playing this game, approximately 10 throughout my entire play through, but the frequent checkpoints in the game saved me any headaches. Other than that it was a smooth experience.

    Verdict: This game is a must buy for any shooter fan be it classic or modern. With a lengthy campaign, multiplayer and snap map mode; it’s well worth the $60 price tag
    TL;DR if you are a shooter fan buy this game, you won’t regret it.    … Expand

    Wow. I didnt expect such a fun from fps shooter. I was thinking that i got it all before. Doom make it simple and wonderful, graphic ,sound, gameplay all great! "Doom : combat evolved", its no less that previous game with such a title :)

    I loved Doom 3 so when I heard Doom was coming again, I got excited. Doom does not disappoint. That's not to say it's perfect but considered how much fun I was having and every other boss coming on my way, just got me to freak out and shoot and run. I love how the game starts you right into the action and said **** exposition.     The level creation is excellent so far and I can't wait to start putting in time in designing things. This type of thing that keeps games in the forefront for years, not just a month. Quality tools to make campaigns with intelligent levels. It's available and included in the game. Enjoy!

    Awesome! Bring on the official map expansions and community based snapmap levels!

    Doom is one of the best games I have played in a long time. Doom is so incredibly beautiful (I've been playing with the new GTX 1070) and so in depth. I beat the campaign mode in 3 days (but I hardly ever stopped playing it) and it was really fun. The multiplayer mode is really nice and feels pretty balanced it has some nice modes and is fun to play. The snap map mode is amazing and superDoom is one of the best games I have played in a long time. Doom is so incredibly beautiful (I've been playing with the new GTX 1070) and so in depth. I beat the campaign mode in 3 days (but I hardly ever stopped playing it) and it was really fun. The multiplayer mode is really nice and feels pretty balanced it has some nice modes and is fun to play. The snap map mode is amazing and super user friendly it makes it really easy to maker a nice map for multiplayer or co-op. I played most of Doom with a Steam Controller and I loved it.     This is easily the best game ive played in the last 6 months and one of the best I have ever played, It nails action, adventure, story, collection, humour, challenge, content and so much more. I am someone who has never played a doom game in the past so if you havent either dont worry about it, great for new players. The game looks absolutely beautiful. The Game-play is very fun and addicting. The sheer brutality and gore of the game is astonishing. The level design is very well, making you jump, shoot, throw grenades, punch and kill demons all around the place. The soundtrack is very adhesive and fits very well with the environment. Overall a great reboot and a cliffhanging ending which makes you excited and pumped for the next entry in the franchise.… Expand

    This game is freaking awesome. One of the best graphics, sound and level design I have seen from a straight up shooter this year. All you need is to shoot demons and the shooting is damn satisfying. No need for cut-scenes, just shoot stuff PERIOD. Best shooter.

In a time of micro transactions and half-assed and half-hearted games Doom is a giant f**k you to the establishment. It does all the things that other big-wig shooters try to do, but better, smarter, and without bragging about it. Doom checks off all the boxes and leaves no stone unturned,I think the best way to sum it up is to say that Doom simply puts all other modern shooters to shame.     I cant speak for the multi player, as its something that i have very little interest in, but the single player campaign is fantastic. Its fast, frantic and the clever use of tools like glory kills and the chainsaw drive the action superbly. Some have criticized the "monster room" mechanic, personally Ive enjoyed it as the tension combined with the increasing music (which works superbly) isI cant speak for the multi player, as its something that i have very little interest in, but the single player campaign is fantastic. Its fast, frantic and the clever use of tools like glory kills and the chainsaw drive the action superbly. Some have criticized the "monster room" mechanic, personally Ive enjoyed it as the tension combined with the increasing music (which works superbly) is fantastic, but your millage may vary.

    Th upgrade system is fantastic and level design is very good. My only criticism is that the environments can get fairly "samey" after a while and some of the monster designs get a little dull (some extra skins could of gone a long way).

    If your looking for a fast, lethal and aggressive single player game and have grown tired of the COD like snooze fests then Doom would be a decent purchase.    … Expand

A rail gun here, a double barrel shotgun shot there and a mid-air glory kill. This is a fast, pushing gore full action almost in a FFA style, where the first thing is to un-bind the walk button (Yes, thereIt's like Q3A meets DOOM. Finally a shooter for those people who can't stand these new horrible causal game play elements, no silly reloads, weapon load outs, but fast weapon switches.. After years of the same **** military shooters with all the console cancers of regenerating health, weapon wheels, slow gameplay, set loadouts and overall similar guns (of wich you can only carry 2 usually), along comes this game and gives them all the middlefinger.
    F*ck reality, let's empower the player and let them carry    This is a very welcome throwback to old school shooters. After years of the same **** military shooters with all the console cancers of regenerating health, weapon wheels, slow gameplay, set loadouts and overall similar guns (of wich you can only carry 2 usually), along comes this game and gives them all the middlefinger.
    F*ck reality, let's empower the player and let them carry everything to engage the enemies in whatever way they want. No regenerating health here, every hit counts and you can't hide like a c*nt behind a corner and get full life.
    The gameplay speed is much faster (although not as fast as Quake 3 unfortunately) than most shooters out the last few years. If you are looking for a revolution, you will not find it here. The only new things this game brings are executions and double jump wich are things already seen in other games. But it does bring fantastic gunplay and action wich let you feel like a badass and keep on going until either you or everything else is dead, without hiding and popping out to take a shot, yet not feel easy or like a cakewalk at the same time.
    As for performance, it held solid 60-65 for me at maxed ultra 1080p on my i7 4770K and 3yo Titan Black. And it looks fantastic. I might even add that this game is probably the best looking "60fps/1080p" title on console aswell. The game is also tailored for the respective platforms. For instance the weapon wheel and other console bullcrap is not present in the pc version, the options menu is fully featured except for mousesmoothing wich you have to turn of with steam launch options, and the game comes prepared for mods. I can't wait what the pc modding community brings to this game.
    My major grievance with this game is the multiplayer. I was expecting something more like Quake 3 but they seem to try and mix typical console shooter mp gameplay with the old school pc shooters and I find it not bad but... bland and wuickly becomes boring. I also suspect console gamers will find this game to fast to be fun for them playing with a controller. The devs tried to please everybody but failed. That might still be fixed with mods if we are lucky. Still with a (for a shooter) lengthy campaign and replayability... overall, imo well worth my money.    … Expand

    I wasn't sure before buying it. I gave it a try and I really had a lot of fun playing that game on 4k @ 60FPS with ultra gfx settings. Technology since the first Doom has so much changed that it cannot compare. Just the title and some monster design remained. Still, I was in for a big surprise. I simply didn't want stop playing until I finished it.

    DOOM is probably the best FPS I've played in a long time. Releasing a few days after a huge release like Uncharted 4 it does an amazing job keeping the player hooked in the story. If you love the story and love the demons and monsters, just wait until you play as them in the online. Most games don't have amazing campaigns and online at the same time, but this game does both.     This DOOM is excelent, the guns, the demons, the level design, the movement, and the guns power are the combination of good FPS. The difficulty is excelent, is very hard and most exciting to play. The ejecution of knocks to finish the demon are good.

True to its roots, it's all about quick thinking and knee-jerk reactions. It is so fast-paced, in fact, that I found myself needing to take a break once every hour or so just to get a breather in. Scary as hell. Fast as hell. Cool asDOOM makes no attempts to become anything but a stupid-simple, fast-paced action shooter with no frills and no fluff, and that's what makes it great.     ID did fantastic job bringing this IP into the modern era. This game is incredibly fun, amazingly well optimized, relentlessly brutal, and is accompanied by a great soundtrack. The multiplayer as it stands could use some improvements/tweaks to make it more compelling, but the online component is not why I bought this game. I knew within the first hour or so that I would be replaying thisID did fantastic job bringing this IP into the modern era.     My gaming life has been missing something for a few years when it comes to FPS.

    Thank you to DOOM for bringing it back. id software just resurrected from the dead and jumped straight onto my AAA developer list that really isn't long. Good lord what a surprise.

    Hype over. Just buy it. We need more games like this.

    Action is fast and frantic, the glory kills / chainsaw system is well balanced and works in such a way as to keep you in the fray. Snapmap is surprisingly flexible, can't wait to see what user created content appears in there. It also remains to see what (if any) extra content    Doom is excellent, exactly what I was hoping for - and pretty much what many hoped Doom 3 would have been.

    Fast, hectic, gory, beautiful, what more could you ask for? Doom's glory kill system keeps you in the action, and the platforming in between gun fights keep things varied. The graphics are excellent and the pacing is on point. Mostly keeps the traditional DOOM feel but updated for 2016. Do hell a solid and buy this game.

    An decent refresh of a solid old school FPS with awesome graphics and atmospheric sound.
    The single player campaign will keep you busy for 15+ hours if you take the time to look around for all the secret areas and suit and weapon upgrades.

    The action gets a little repetitive.
    Occasionally the game crashes back to the desktop (PC) for no apparent reason.

    This is the greatest game ever made!!!!!! Big props to the team that made this one. They worked hard to make it flawless.. I especially love the multiplayer in the game

    Great game, don't bother reading negative comments. Campaign worth every cent. Music is amazing, the graphics is great. If you like run and gun this is the game for you.

    Doom is back! If you dont like this, then you probably wouldn't have liked it back in 1993.

    For me this is the best game of the year so far. Multi player is terrible but i would have been happy for them to cut it as the single player stands on its own.

    Absolutely amazing! The game is all about love... the love of exploding the hell out of demons. So many different guns and explosions! i love seeing my enemies die!

    This will focus on my likes and dislikes of the single-player (as I can't speak for Snapmap and MP is just "meh"):
    Pros:
    -Solid, fast-paced gameplay; an obvious throwback to the frenetic action of DOOM 1&2; It is a twitch-based shooter
    -Some of the best animation I have seen for enemy NPCs in gaming. Every character moves distinctly different and animation ques can be seen, learnt and offer warnings of incoming attacks.
    -Perfect soundtrack to set the atmosphere of the game
    -The in-game HUD is incredibly customizable.
    -The Advanced Graphics options ensures that this game will run on any gaming machine built in the last 3-4 years (and still looks decent on Low Settings).
    -Good (mostly) level design: Large open areas, narrow corridors, hellish mazes, and secret areas galore!
    -Weapons feel good to fire, and are upgrade-able, if you choose; or leave the weapons the way they are for a real challenge in later levels.
    -Fun, classic gameplay-loop: Enter a room, kill everything mercilessly, collect pickups, search for secrets, repeat step one.

    Cons:
    - Level design: Although I like most things about the levels, it falls short in one area: Levels are not distinct from one-another. Especially the Mars Base levels, it is hard to tell them apart. Comparing this to DOOM 1&2, you would know what level you are on after opening the first door (if not sooner), I don't feel that in this game.
    -The campaign could have been longer, but I guess they have to have something for DLC...

    Minor complaints that do not detract much from gameplay, aside: If you like old-school DOOM or if you are just sick of sub-par military shooters holding your hand through corridor, after corridor, after boring canned set-pieces, then pick up DOOM NOW!    … Expand

    Great game a nice modern up to date version of an era of FPS long forgotten. Smooth with guns that have enough variety along with a good weapon and abilities mod system that keeps things interesting. above all else its a lot of FUN.

    Best FPS shooter i've played in a while, Reminds me of the original kinda feels like what they wanted doom to be in the begging. Multi player i only played in beta and didn't really like, but the single player TOTALLY Worth the price. If you love doom or want a good FPS or Hectic Battle Music, this game was made for you. Tong in cheek silly fun kill kill kill.

    DOOM (2016) brings back classic FPS elements like picking ammo,health,secret items to modern day of FPS gaming. Although,the game has some new features such as glory kill,upgradable gears, new enemies etc. They don't affect the gameplay too much. Campaign and SnapMap both are great, I never getting bored with them but Multiplayer.

    Last time i played something cool like this, it was in 2011, that game was Serious Sam. But Doom is alot better, better that any FPS i played so far.

    Good game, good environment, good experience, but... where is the amazing OST that DOOM and DOOM 2 had? For me it's not a fully DOOM experience without an epic OST.

My favorite game of all time was always and will be DOOM and DOOM 2 and I was positively shocked that the new DOOM is on par with the originals. The game play is ridiculously fast, constant action keeps the blood flowing and there are no boring parts of the game.     I'm not an fps fan. I bought this game as my younger brother wanted something to play and I have been playing too much street fighter recently. My first days experience with this game is that I absolutely love it. Hiding behind corners or boxes is definitely not the best strategy, which I'm happy with as this is quite boring in most fps's. even the exploration is great and its highly satisfying to find hidden power ups and items. Now this is for real, it's Brutal Doom at 100% for reference for those who like it. I was in need for a real game after seeing so much boring FPS last years... well, this is.

The monster iterations and environments look superb. The combat is fluid and very entertaining. The guns are very satisfying to use, and can be upgraded. Then over the course of the next four years the genre more or less stagnated with very minimal innovation between titles, save for some admittedly big graphical improvements. In 1998 Half Life 1 was released which revolutionized AI in video games as a whole. Enemies ran and took cover from grenades and cockroaches scattered to the corners of the room when you shined your flashlight on them. Then Half Life 2 introduced a real-time physics engine in 2004 and utilized that as a gameplay mechanic. AI was even more advanced and for the first time, it felt like the game was playing back. Not to mention, the Half Life series hugely innovated in the way of story-telling in video games. The final big innovation came with the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, when Activision nailed their multiplayer model. Since then, nearly every single first person shooter has sort of mimicked the Call of Duty franchise in order to draw sales. Modern Warfare released in 2007.

    In other words, there hasn't really been any huge innovation in the first-person shooter genre in almost a decade. Sure, there were others along the way that improved on the model (namely, the Bioshock series) and yes, Wolfenstein was *great*. But this is the first time in a very, very long time that I have played a first person shooter and felt like I was getting an utterly unique experience. DOOM is so far from today's norm that it feels almost alien, even though many old school FPS fans started with DOOM.

    There are bosses, secrets, upgrades, gruesome finishers, awesome enemies, a kickass soundtrack and most importantly, classic fast-paced oldschool DOOM™ carnage. There is no cover. There are no iron sights. Health does not regenerate. Reflexes separate the winners from the losers. You win by reacting, not thinking. Its **** refreshing.

    10/10 Best FPS in a decade

    Also acceptable to just run it in the background as you mosh.

    PS: For those of you interested in multiplayer, DOOM is a *heavily* singleplayer-focused game. The multiplayer is not as good as the singleplayer. The multiplayer is decent though, and feels a LOT like unreal tournament. In other words, its oldschool DOOM multiplayer. Don't expect CoD multiplayer, its not that. It is fun for a bit though. And it doesn't feel slapped on, there is plenty of content and customization options (there are like hundreds of taunt animations, its insane). SnapMap is also cool if you're interested in making you're own maps.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game made me indeed remember when I was little and played the old Doom. The yellow, red and blue keys, the mazes I would get lost and the arcade pace the game goes about. The game is not very long in it's single player campaign, but as we can go back to previous stages to collect upgrades left behind, the game will have at least 15 hours of gameplay until you start doing some multiplayer.

    One thing I didn't like is that at some point we get two runes, Rich gets Richer and Armored Offensive that are too much better than the others, we get almost limitless ammunition and the game lose some depth. The game has some bugs yet, it crashed with me at least once every two missions, and a lot of players have similar complaints. I'm not taking this into consideration in my evaluation, since I know it will be fixed soon, but for such an expensive game, and to some extent simple, it should not have happened.

    The game kept the arcade style of the series, we aim down the sights with just a few weapons, the others have modified fire by pressing the right mouse button. The character moves fast and in this game I saw something that I never had seem before, we can finish the enemies with melee attacks. At first it seemed not such a good idea, but it doesn't hurt the rhythm of the battle at all and add more gruesomeness to the game.

    If you want a terror atmosphere this game is not for you. The character is a very powerful hero, we don't feel afraid or worry about what is lurking in the darkness, the battles are very open and predictable in areas that are similar to arenas. The immense power of our hero and the great quantity of enemies that attack us make for a fast paced arcade game focused on the action, not terror.

    The music is very nice, but I thought the game is a little too colorful. I'd expect something more grim and gloom. Our character never speaks, which is good, since it avoids the danger of creating a bad personality and it's easier to identify with. We deal with just two NPCs, that are machines. In short, a very nice game if you want speed and action.    … Expand

    Long ago there was a time when games were just about being games. An FPS was only that, an RPG was what it was and a puzzle game was a puzzle game and so on. Then along the way people wanted to throw stealth in my action games, puzzles in my shooters and lockpicking mini games in my adventure games.

    Now I'm not against making gameplay more dynamic, and giving the player multiple    Long ago there was a time when games were just about being games.     Now I'm not against making gameplay more dynamic, and giving the player multiple options to solve a scenario is a good thing overall. Letting the player explore there own options and carry their game out how they want is a big strength a game CAN have. But too many games these days thrown in segments for the sake of it when it's not necessary, when it doesn't serve the narrative or when the stealth isn't done well and it's just there because.

    DOOM is a throwback and a love letter to when games were simpler, more focused and when a FPS was just about killing a lot of **** The gameplay is simple and perfected, you have big guns and you kill demons. The maps give you the right amount of exploration, so there are secrets and hidden goals to find, but you can easily ignore those and just go from point A to point B killing every demon in sight. Thiss is the goal of the game, the story serves a purpose to drive the game forward but never feels like a major focus and does exactly what it needs to.

    You get around 10 weapons total by the games end and most are upgrade able with 2 different mods for each gun that give it a special ability. This gives you enough freedom to define your playstyle without giving you so many options you start to wonder about "optimal builds". No nothing you upgrade can go wrong, you can always max out your other guns and you're never going to be crippled by picking one path over another, just go in and have fun. Even on the highest available difficulty before unlocking more after completion, the game is challenging without being infuriating. And dying just gives you another chance to go back and fight those demons again.

    I don't think I can recommend a game more highly this year than DOOM. As a game it's flawless and succeeds at everything it tries to be good at.    … Expand

Quien quiera una historia compleja o un guión de película, no lo va a encontrar en este juego. Not a second of standing still, always in motion, and if you stop even for a second,    I am overwhelmed with emotions, because this is an incredibly gorgeous game! And Pro bosses, too, not forgotten, they have become more, stronger, steep.

    John Carmack has already told the story. Characters little, but all are remembered. There is a Russian voice, but very little talk, which is why everything sounds great and without falsehood. Executioner Rock here, of course, the coolest, he also spat on the plot, he just wants to kill all the demons and stop the invasion. The plot promised to bring in Eternal.

    The graphics are gorgeous, eyes are happy. On ultra play a pleasure! The design of the demons as great. Locations are not so much, but Hell looks very beautiful.

    The music here sounds amazing! Fits perfectly into the gameplay. To kill the demons under a sheet the best I could come up with!

    The atmosphere is very pleasant. Secrets are scattered everywhere, classic maps from the original. And in General to sources treated very respectfully. Some landscapes are worthy of a screenshot. The peak of the slope starts just in time for the battle with the demons, when everything explodes, a sea of blood, it is a pity all the dead demons don't stay in the place of his death.

    This is the best game I've ever played! By far the best remake, best shooter, best main character, best fight demons! The second part is close, it remains only to wait.

    This is cool, this is blood 'n' gore, this is hardcore, this is......HEAVY METAL. Hordes and hordes of demons to kill. Glory Kills. Arcade Mode, Snap Map Mode. This is so intense and filled with extreme action. There is absolutely no horror in this game like Doom 3. So my favorite Doom game will still be Doom 3. But I can definitely recommend this Doom game.

It leans away from traditional boring shooters like Call Of Duty. which results in an intense feeling when playing it. every single mechanic contributes to making you enjoy slaughtering demons. The doom marine is also the most badass character i've seen. sorry master chief. your badassness throne is no longer yours. the fastDoom is by far the best reboot in the entire gaming history. It leans away from traditional boring shooters like Call Of Duty. which results in an intense feeling when playing it. every single mechanic contributes to making you enjoy slaughtering demons.     Doom is perfect!

    There is not a single part of this amazing game that isn't the perfect fit for the situation. Gunplay works on every lvl and with every weapon. The Collectibles can make a huge difference to your overall gameplay and makes a real difference. You want to find every single collectible because the maps are designed so amazingly that it doesn't feel like a chore to do. the    Doom is perfect!

You want to find every single collectible because the maps are designed so amazingly that it doesn't feel like a chore to do. the enemy designs and variety is astonishing. Every monster/demon has its own way of attacking and then there is the gore.... Oohhh the mighty gore and blood when you brutalize one enemy after the other and you can't help but smile and laugh at the imaginative ways you can rip enemies apart. Upgrades to weapons are awesome and you really need skill and drive to complete the game on the harder difficulties. Mods and other workshop things ad to the multiplayer experience. The Story is compelling, although it is out worldly and you are thrown into it head first, and the characters and voice actors do an amazing job. Especially Darin De Paul as Samuel Hayden. All these things would in itself make a really good game. And the overall feel to the game is amazing and you really feel like you are on a different planet fighting demons. But there is one thing that takes Doom from being a great game, to being a perfect game.
    The sound design and soundtrack is the best ever made to fir a first person shooter and the best in any video game since GTA Vice City. Mick Gordons soundtrack of chucking guitars, electronic sounds mixed into the game on the base of the more enemies you face the more music there is and the heavier the music gets. You slash, hack and blast through waves of spawning demons that keep on coming. You pull out the BFG and end the last ten enemies with one shot and the almost deafening sound of the blast and it's impact, paired with the hammering of Mick Gordons song Flesh and Metal or Cyberdemon suddenly stops all at once like it's sucked out of the room you are in in-game and all you hear is the wind and the vague and atmospheric background music as silent as a whisper. The experience is completely unique to DOOM and all these elements combined makes this game one of the best ever made and if id Software can somehow improve it in the next chapter of the Doom Slayer. I'm afraid I'm gonna start crying out of shere joy when I hear Mick Gordons music and I start ripping things apart.    … Expand

    This is an awesome game where you get to slay demons left and right. The game is quite hard even on the second difficulty level "Hurt me plenty" it can be frustrating sometimes when you have to fight hordes of spawning monsters and the game has a very specific way of saving which might make you replay a section a lot until you get it right.

    Мне как человеку, который очень любит арена-шутеры, эта часть Doom зашла. Я прошел ее спустя 6 лет после релиза, что, кстати, не помешало мне получить удовольствие. Мои ожидания полностью оправдались.

    Очень хорошая оптимизация и геймплей, стрелять и убивать просто кайф, импакт ебейший, сюжета считай нет :_), но он особо и не нужен тут.

    Небольшим минусом игры, очень субъективным, является то, что приличная часть прокачки заточена на изучении локаций и тебе порою приходиться как мышь шастать туда и обратно в поисках заветных очков прокачки и тех самых некоторых предметов раскрывающих лор. Новичков это явно будет сбивать с ритма прохождения, если конечно не захотите пройти игру на 100%. Игру без поиска дополнительных очков прокачки пройти вполне возможно. Хотя и за боевые заслуги вас одаривают заветными очками усилений.
    Так же ,кроме основной сюжетной кампании, игра имеет при себе довольно качественным соревновательный мультиплеер, но к сожалению уже мёртвый.

    If you want to have a good shooting experience with incredible music and game play, you are in the right spot. DOOM has done almost everything right. I don't really know anything about DOOMS story and lore but the game play is incredible. Boss fights were not that good and the game kinda got boring while i entered my last hour or so but it was overall a pretty good experience

    Best singleplayer shooter or 2016, a perfect mix of story and gameplay for Doom if you ask me. Don't bother with multiplayer though, it is alright but not what Doom 2016 is worth buying for.

    You will love the new Doom if you played the original from the 90's. The game has the same unusually high player movement speed like the original. The weapons feel fun effective and accurate. The combat encourages strafing to avoid getting hit and going back in the level to search for power ups or ammo. If you never played the early id Software shooters like Wolfenstein or Doom you will probably find this concept refreshing. Technically the game reaches an extreme level of perfection in graphics and sound. The id Tech engine had really a lot of trouble with graphic card drivers in Rage and the new Wolfenstein. Now in the new Doom it finally feels rock solid even on AMD hardware with the Vulkan API. Not much texture popping, nice anti alias etc.… Expand

    Overall an awesome remake to an epic FPS! You get thrown into action right away, and instantly you see the fast-paced, smooth, and most of the time wild game-play. The worlds are visually amazing, starting off on Mars and traveling to Hell, Bethesda did a wonderful job creating the atmosphere. The weapons/upgrades are nice and you continually receive new, more powerful weapons as the storyOverall an awesome remake to an epic FPS! You get thrown into action right away, and instantly you see the fast-paced, smooth, and most of the time wild game-play. The worlds are visually amazing, starting off on Mars and traveling to Hell, Bethesda did a wonderful job creating the atmosphere. The weapons/upgrades are nice and you continually receive new, more powerful weapons as the story progresses. I love how many aspects and most monsters from the original DOOM are brought back into this game. The shootout battles that ensue are very fun and extremely intense at times, especially on a harder difficulty. A few downsides though stop this title from becoming a masterpiece, but it is still absolutely worth a play-through or two. Negatives include an overall short single player campaign and a multiplayer option that is hard to get into because there are so many other choices out there.… Expand

    I found this to be a really fun game to play. Not usually a big fan of these kind of FPS, but it just does it well. You can relax and just blow away some demons in a quick session or settle in for a long play through. Single Player is well worth it alone.

    Dooms game design is perfect for what it is trying to accomplish. But if your fps skills aren't good, you won't be able to enjoy this. Even on the easiest of difficulties settings.

    DOOM 2016 es la demostración de como se traslada la jugabilidad de un juego de los 90 a las generaciones actuales. Divertidísimo, gráficos increíbles, dificultad que se espera de un DOOM, varios modos de juego, buena selección de arsenal y mejoras, coleccionables, tremendo soundtrack y muy rejugable como los clásicos.

    ID did outstanding job, perfect mixture of new and old. Not many people pointed out that it is also a perfect Quake game, as it merged elements of both series: guns, style, gameplay, aesthetics. Level design take inspiration even from multiplayer part of ID history which is not bad as you may think, because arenas you encounter are ideal for battle dancing between enemies. Music deservesID did outstanding job, perfect mixture of new and old. Not many people pointed out that it is also a perfect Quake game, as it merged elements of both series: guns, style, gameplay, aesthetics. Level design take inspiration even from multiplayer part of ID history which is not bad as you may think, because arenas you encounter are ideal for battle dancing between enemies. Music deserves its own rating - totally 10/10 of metal and electronic feast for ears.

    I had only one problem, that plagues most of modern games. Difficulty level. The hardest level is too hard because of time wasting permadeath. And almost the hardest level is too easy because too many times you are unfulfilled when warmed up, with good amount of ammo and health, ready for the next biggest wave of enemies that never comes.    … Expand

    In addition, the game runs very well at the recommended spec and for setups not too far below it as well, though there are known issues with 2gb graphics cards that may result in occasional framerate drops. There are also a few instances of low-res textures streaming in not fully loaded. I also wasn't a fan of the challenges and weapon mastery tasks. These are incentivized with weapon upgrades/tokens though often require you to complete tasks or approach combat in a totally inefficient way (eg: kill a Mancubus with a pistol) that you would never have done otherwise. This unfortunately interrupts the flow of combat.

    If you miss Doom, you miss what I anticipate to be one of two most important first person shooters of 2016. The classic returns in great shape, with all its vital elements intact. Give the campaign some time to pick up speed and it will pump your veins full of adrenaline. [07/2016, p.38]
