Mar 21, 2020The multiplayer...
no one's talking about it. Would be a 10 out of 10 if there was a traditional multiplayer, or atleast more then a single multiplayer gamemode, not to mention to mention the extreme lack of options for the one gamemode there is, absolutely no progression system aside from cosmetic stuff. Single player was legendary, it's just multiplayer was a extreme disappointment :( -

Mar 27, 2020I just can't. There is so much platforming, and even Mario style spinning fireball bars and climbing around on walls/fences, it doesn't feel like a proper shooter. The repetitive melee quick time events are in your face, over the top, and dull after the 50th time.
I want to shoot things in a shooter with enough ammo to keep shooting things. -

Apr 13, 2020The game is far too hard. At times it is "Dark Souls-hard" and I find that very frustrating. I rage quit and uninstalled after playing 80 % through the game when I encountered a super hard boss mob I simply could not beat. This is not a good, classic Doom game, this is some weird "Doom-Dark Souls-mongrel", I simply cannot enjoy. 60 € wasted... what a pity.

May 21, 2020The graphics are fantastic. The atmosphere, the control is great.
The gameplay is dull. You have no other option than use the final kill move all over and over again otherwise your resources deplete. The final execution move is the same all the time. It just get boring right after the first level. It is like a short cutscene that you have to see 10000 times ti finish the game. -
May 24, 2020This game is basically all puzzles and platforming now, which SUCKS! I didn't buy Doom for platforming and puzzles. I bought it to shoot and kill things, which is sometimes fun in this game, if you can get past the other aspects that are stupid and boring.

Dec 20, 2020I can't exactly put a finger on it, but after forcing myself to finish this game, I realized that I didn't have much fun doing it. I feel like this game constantly forced me to run away from enemies instead of confidently dismantling them one by one like I did in 2016. I still gritted my teeth and was able to finish it, but the entire game fell flat for me. Wouldn't personally recommend it.

Aug 16, 2021I do not consider justified this score, the game is terribly difficult, very bad restored the difficulty.
Whoever accents of torturing himself its a good game to add. Also, the game is very crowded, full of unnecessary things, even weaker than doom 2016. -

Mar 24, 2020No VR, no buy. Are the developers even trying? Their tiny heads must be stuck in the 90s, listening to metal all day seems to boil the little brain cells they have left.

Mar 20, 2020I am so disappointed by this game. It is dull. All the sharpness that was introduced in 2016 is just lacking here. I have no interested in playing a shooter where you are note given ammo to shot with. Everything about this game is just lame.

Mar 23, 2020Doom Eternal is basically Doom (2016) again but with more tedious platforming and without the ability to play how you want. You're forced to constantly switch weapons and mash melee attacks to ensure you have enough ammo and health to scrape by.

Mar 20, 2020pros:
automap looks cool, no-drm on day 1, great tool if you want to feel like you got monochromacy sight.
Cons:
Everything's brown or brownish-red color, weapons feels weak, constant interruptions in form of pop-up messages or cut-scenes.
i guess it's cool if you never played anything outside of doom 2016. -
Mar 26, 2020I don't like it. I love DOOM 2016, but this is Super Mario with shotgun. First two hours i was heavyly bored. No action, so much chanted music was heard only occasionally and jumping like a Super Mario, constantly out of ammo ... This is not doom feeling, lot off ammo loved gun an constantly action this i looking in DOOM game.

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Jul 22, 2020The murderous amok simulator returns and is even more furious than before. Fantastic presentation and great fighting system are harmed only by annoying platforming sequences. [Issue#302]

May 1, 2020If you're looking for a deep and thought-provoking gaming experience that changes your outlook on life, look elsewhere. However, if you want a fast-paced, visceral shooter full of non-stop action and outrageous violence, you can't do better than Doom Eternal. If you liked 2016's offering you will love this follow up. It's a hell of a good time.

Apr 19, 2020Like Jason Statham’s character in Crank, Doom Eternal needs adrenaline every waking second. So long as you drown hordes of demons in their own blood, it feels like a perfect GOTY contender, but during quiet moments, Doom Eternal withers and forces you to ponder unpleasant questions. id Software needs to course-correct, otherwise we’ll be playing Super Doom Slayer’s Bros in a few years.
