Prob gonna charge more so you can get more stashes and to go to s2 etc
Pretty selfish Devs and company I would suggest that you wont buy the game and wait for a good game like POE 2 to get released, so that you can actually enjoy your time. story 4/10, visuals 8/10, gameplay 3/10, loot 0/10, endgame 0/10. Overall enjoyment 0/10. Even a Free to play game like POE does way better

We all know that big companies are primarily out to make money, but the obvious greed with which Blizzard is shovelling their pockets full here just disgusts me.
The first time I played Diablo I really enjoyed it, I found the story pleasantly adult, the graphic style more to my taste and the progress you could make okay. Especially as an after-work gamer who can't go all out every day.

Especially as an after-work gamer who can't go all out every day. The game content after the story was more for the really dull mind, but okay. It's Diablo and Diablo is the grind. But their now presented "solution" for missing content is just silly and the logic behind it simply disgusting. Instead of working with new, creative ideas that would get players into their season (and yes, spend money there too.) they just make everything take longer, become more annoying and overall much less fun. And then you're supposed to pay for that and enjoy playing the game? Practically none of the things that were criticised and denounced in the run-up have changed, and after hundreds of hours of play in Season 1 you might be back where you were before the season, thanks to the mostly rarely stupid Season 1 content? Thanks for that. Only 2 weeks until Baldur's Gate 3, Blizzard can learn how to create a game that is fun for the customers.

Ruining the game, I so regret purchasing the deluxe edition, xbox version and yet another standard version for a friend.
We are all so disappointed and will not touch this game any more and most likely not another piece of blizzard "game" again. This is ridiculous and it's so obvious the only reason is that they want people to buy battle passes.

Season 1 Patch notes show that the developers don't know what their playerbase wants in a game and they're willing to overhype pages upon nerfs as something to be excited about in order to generate sales.

Blizzard has lost its connection with its audience. Dev's have asked for our opinion and done the opposite. The patch for Season 1 kills the game. Barbarian got nerf too much that force players to switch to other class completely. I don't like this change.

If they feel players progress the game too fast, they should add more stronger enemies, instead of nerfing everything without thinking.

    Disappointed.

I've been a player of Diablo games on and off for 20 years or so. This latest iteration of the franchise cost me $100 for the top tier package.

    1. The game offers (for me) about 1 month of content. Replay value is minimal for various reasons explained below.

    2. The grind to max level is long and brutally repetitive. Repeating the same actions over and over for minimal results is not fun.

    3. End-game content is minimal. Once a character is max level, the game becomes a garbage man simulator. You pick up the trash, you take the trash to the dump. Repeat ad infinitum.

    4. Certain items, "Uniques", some of which are necessary for a particular class or build to reach maximum potential, are essentially unobtainable without devoting huge amounts of time to the same boring and repetitive grind. If you have a full time job, or a family, or any other commitments which may preclude devoting vast quantities of time to farming the same content over and over, you might as well forget about it.

    5. My experience, typically, over many years of playing various games, is that the longer you play the game and the more time you spend working on your character, the better and more powerful it becomes. That is NOT the case with Diablo 4. This is not a fault with the game itself, but rather the developer. You can have a perfectly built character, and in a single stroke, with one patch, your ability and power is gone. What you could do yesterday you cannot do today. What was easy yesterday is hard today. What worked yesterday does not work today. What used to be good is now bad. What used to be bad is still bad. The time you spent to build your character has been wasted. These heavy-handed and arbitrary changes can happen at any time, and for any reason, or for no reason whatsoever. Your character is worse today than it was yesterday through absolutely no fault or error of your own.

In short, the game is very grind-oriented with minimal end-game content and the very high possibility that any work you do will be negated with the next patch. Essentially, it's a less rewarding job that you don't get paid for. it's a working-in-corporate-America simulator. Anyone who enjoys working as a middle management drone for a large corporation will probably enjoy Diablo 4. Most of the elements are there: the soul-crushing grind for little reward, the long hours sitting at a computer, completely arbitrary changes in corporate policy with no warning or explanation, the unobtainable rewards, the stress, the family problems, the hopelessness, the "voluntary" corporate events that you really have to go to if you want to stay competitive, etc. The only things missing are the mediocre paycheck and health insurance. Instead, you have to pay for the experience.

I even bought a 2nd copy because the D4 stash is too small even after I created mules - I wanted to play 3 different classes and there's no way the stash plus all the rest mules is enough.

But the recent patch 1.1 gave me the wakening call that the team running this game will never fix it, nor making it good. Because what they think the game should be is totally different from the user base. The addressed 0 issues raised by the user base, including stash space, resistance doesn't work, sorc unplayable end game because all the mobs can one-shot you. etc. etc. Sorc was a powerful class in Beta which caps at lv 25, so they simply nerfed the popular skill Hydra by 60%, and a few others skills which can reduce cool down. The user base complained. Sorc could only run the frost build. Devs in the fireside chat said they listened, and they had this long list of patch note prepared. Everyone was looking forward to the patch note, everyone assumed sorc can be fixed. Ha! Can you imagine they nerf sorc, and especially hydra even more? They didn't mention this in the patch notes, but they changed the lucky hit rate of hydra from 53% (cast based) to 2.5% (hit based). Ice blade 71% to 5%. Yes it's a huge nerf because the conj stills won't hit that many times (especially ice blade, so clumsy).

They nerfed all classes. Why, why??? Because they don't have other ways to engage players. Instead they make it harder to pass the game, so we are forced to stay longer, and they may make money in this.

Or, perhaps they've already got our money, and they just choose the most annoying changes so we don't stay, no pressure to their server, and they can use the money to develop WoW - btw the D4 feels like WoW which I don't like.

You won't find the Diablo game you like in D4. It's frustrating, repetitive, and I don't feel their team has good decision makers. It's unbelievable they'd do this unless, really, they want to push us away so their server maintenance cost is lower.

The latest patch ruined the game. You take more damage, do less damage, helltides are worse, gearing is made so you struggle, and every class is NERFED. Loot will drop less and still drops useless loot at max level. You are penalized for group play due to increased mob health. There is no endgame content. Build diversity doesn't exist. DON'T BUY THIS GAME.

Played for only a few weeks, then realized things were not going to get better for a while so I just gave up.
They nerf classes that managed to create nice niche and creative build while they should be improving the quality of life of the players. Who cares if a specific build is OP, the game is brand new, it's to be expected. But everybody cares about the insanely bad way to manage

I can't talk for other classes but I've played a Necromancer, that only has a single viable spec (bone spear) that was terribly nerfed. Out of all the talents and possible build this class had to offer, only one can be realistic played without depending on those crazy niche build and items synergies and they broke it.
And let's also please mention that this build feels nothing like a Necromancer. It's just a rebranded mage that throw bones instead of ice shards. Blizz refused to give the Necro a decent summon build which is the core of the identity of this class.
I will maybe get back to the game next year, when Blizz decides to listen to it's user base. This reminds me of the D3 auction house disaster when they tried to ruin the whole game and decided to move away from it after months of critiques.

Requires online connection for a single player game, but doesn't have any tools to take advantage of playing with other people. Loot drop rates seem to be based on trading with other players, but there is no way to do so. End game activities were already lacking, and they have now been reduced even further. So, things now take longer, reward less, and appear to have but a single design gial in mind: Delay everything so that Activision can artificially inflate their aytime metrics. Instead of accomplishing this by making an enjoyable game that people want to play, they make every activity take longer and actively hotfix anything that people find to make the game enjoyable. They actually increased the channel time to leave a dungeon when it is finished...

To quote an almost perfect synopsis of the most recent patch:

"This is an ACTION RPG with slow paced action. It's a LOOT hunter with boring loot. This is an MMO with no social aspects. A dungeon crawler that feels more like a game of fetch the stones and put them on the pedestals." https://www.reddit.com/r/diablo4/comments/153hzqg/what_blizzard_doesnt_understand/ Collapse

One of the first major red flags was the devs completely disabling certain aspects because, ultimately, the game is just severely unfinished and most definitely untested. These actions made certain characters unplayable. That was over a month ago, and it's been a worsening **** show since.

There is no possible way this game was worked on consistently for 10 years and probably not even 5.

While the future of the game is anyone’s guess, at present Diablo IV is a solid, but strangely unambitious take that fails to bring much new to the table. By the end of my travels, I was more than willing to put it down and take a break — somewhere amongst all the grinding, Diablo IV had unfortunately ground me down as well.
