    I experienced technical issues when I tried to play on the 2nd and 3rd days after launch, but I don't believe those issues will still occur later, so I don't think it's fair to review a game based on things like that. This is an amazing game. There are enhancements to the user interface and mechanics to make it play more like a modern game. It feels polished, but at the same time, it still feels like the original game. I was able to play with a friend and it felt like diving into multiplayer Diablo II all over again. This time, I was playing more hardcore than I did when I just completed the campaign in the original game. I'm doing loot runs, carefully building my character with the best loot possible, planning to go beyond Normal difficulty and into Nightmare and Hell difficulty this time.     Great nostalgic game for me, and a great new game for my fiance. Absolutely love it minus the few issues on day 1 which were fixed in the first couple hours for the most part.

    A slap in the face for the fans that was waiting for so long a "remaster / remake" of an iconic game, with redesigned characters for pander the mediocrity called "new audience" that never played a videogame or supported this series.

    But nothing to be surprised: BLIZZARD doesnt have anymore a passionate creators and developers, they replaced every veterans with mediocre activists.
    They are more concerned about the political climate of society than making fun videogames, disappointed and very shame that this videogame was created in this wrong era.    … Expand

    Resurrected my Metacritic log-in to rate this steaming pile of crap. I swore an auth after Fallout 76 to never pre-order again and to never support a game broken at launch. Refunded on day 1. No more chances. Billion dollar studios are not allowed to sell you a broken **** anymore.

    The game has problems with graphical bugs.
    It's a pity that the achievements were not brought to the PC.
    Some mechanics require modern overhaul.

    This is the peak of remasters - exactly what everyone could ever hope for. Not going to let the hate for Blizzard change my opinion - the team who worked on this deserves a 10.

    Это не игра, можно ливать ! За неделю с релиза не поправлены критичные ошибки, игра лагает, персонажи удаляются в том числе после патча, который это фиксил. У кого-то до сих пор не получилось запустить. Я готов простить то, что вместо всех женских персонажей в игре теперь какие то трансы и старушки, я готов понять проблему с серверами но не сохранить 5 часов игрового прогресса могут толькоЭто не игра, можно ливать !     Vicarious Visions nailed it. To everyone there: you accomplished something wonderful with this remaster. The care that went into it is evident in every part of the game. (To the negative reviewers who complained about the rough launch -- yes it was frustrating, but anyone who expected that to go smoothly had unrealistic expectations.)

    Quite simple. Blizzard promised greater mod support than the original and a multiplayer method to play those mods through LAN-Open.Net-TCP/IP. What we got is neither of those things.

    Fantastic remake of a fantastic game. There were soume lounch issues with server (like with every online game) but they were fixed in 2 days completely, so... 10/10.

    When the customers are treated in such way it is hard to believe that all the latest scandals are not true, seems like the atmosphere of harassment, even sexual once and of humiliation is normal for this company. Earning billions of profit the company deliberately does not hire Q&A engineers to release decent version of workable product.

    Better looking version of the gold oe game.... Really! It is the same game! - including the bugs. Can you imagine how screwed up this is: Selling a 20 year old game with better graphics for 2/3 of a full-prize game and not even bothering to fix game-breaking bugs. This is the state of Blizzard in a nutshell for you. Living quite literaly from the past.

    A game that aged very poorly with unbalanced classes, gotcha mechanics, artificial difficulty that only affects some classes, required meta builds to progress, and a very toxic community to boot. Unless you are already a fan of this game from 20 years ago, play something else, anything else.

    Объективно - шедевр, это идеальный пример, как нужно делать ремастер старых игр. Поставил бы 9 за редкие, совсем незначительные баги, но т.к. на игру необоснованно напали "вечнонедовольные" то это железно 10/10

    Looks like it would be fun, if the game would actually launch. Sadly, devs decided to change the system requirements post-beta. But it was an accident. Or not. Yes, definitely unintentional, but also these are the requirements, so it's players' fault somehow. They can't even settle on one narrative. Pretty bad launch, but not a surprise for the washed up company that used to be Blizzard.

    Diablo II: Resurrected is far from perfect. The changes in character design are likely to rile up returning players, and the archaic gameplay probably won’t agree with younger generations weaned on more streamlined, sophisticated experiences. While I appreciate that this legendary title is now available in an improved format, it’s not a caveat-free recommend.

    Diablo II: Resurrection is outdated return of the legend, but it brings such a perfect atmosphere and such a wonderful audiovisual processing, that serie fans will be excited.

    Diablo II returns with refreshed graphics and unaltered gameplay (apart from some small improvements). It’s as fun as I remembered, so I quickly felt at home and gave in to nostalgia. However, it’s hard not to notice that beneath revamped visuals lies a 21 years old design. [12/2021, p.32]
